There’s a lot I need to preface before I talk about what happened.
I’m not trying to pull a fast one like Toby or the girl who pretended to be Tara Gillesbie to promote her weird book. This is a real thing that I found genuinely an hour ago, and I don’t know what to make of it.
I will have to be purposefully vague and withhold information due to GDPR laws. Love data protection, but it makes things complicated.
So. I have a summer contract with a public body in Ireland. Part of my job, on Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays, is to send out correspondence to customers across the country.
One of the letters that I had to print out this morning, was addressed to a “Tara Gillespie”. As a chronically online nerd, I immediately noticed the name. However, I noted that it could be confirmation bias as I’ve been following this mystery for a few years now and always thought that her family going to “Dubry” was not Dubai, but Dublin.
Also, I was very skeptical, primarily because it sounded too good to be true. So I checked our system.
According to the system, she’s the same age that MI Tara would be right now (34) and would have been 14/15 when the Fanfiction was published.
I’m not going to doxx her or give anyway any of her contact information, because GDPR and also it would just be a shit thing to do, but it’s a very VERY strange coincidence and match up.
