After seeing some of these World Cup foot hockey games, OKC is like junior varsity floppers.
College football can’t get here fast enough.
Dick's has all Spurs gear 40% off and it's not just playoffs, finals and Fox merch. Tons of t-shirts, hats, etc. Basically anything that has Spurs on it.
With the new apron limitations and the need to eventually pay him, Castle and Harper, will he ever get a deeper team?
I know there are a lot of haters but being able to start a player like Fox and have a caliber of Harper’s ability coming off the bench is insane. Not to mention the other great players
His screening looks pretty solid, but I'm not sure how well it'll hold up against NBA-level defenders fighting over screens. His floater around the rim doesn't look very consistent yet. He seems to have soft touch, but we already knew when we drafted him that his defense was supposed to be his biggest strength.
Even though he grabbed a lot of rebounds, he doesn't seem to be much of a leaper, and his lateral quickness is definitely a concern. I'm worried he'll mostly have to play drop coverage, and stretch bigs like Towns could punish that with their shooting.
Do you think he should slim down a bit to improve his mobility?
Last year Owen Phillips did a great statistical breakdown of performance in Summer League games vs. the actual outcome of a Rookie's season.
Source is here: https://thef5.substack.com/p/summer-league-stats-you-can-trust
the TLDR is basically stats near the top are more likely to match the players future projections in their rookie season than stats at the bottom.
This is a positive and a negative, as Owen describes:
>if a player shows a willingness to pass the ball at summer league then they’ll likely carry over that same willingness into their rookie season.
in regards to assists as an example, but then negatively:
>if a player is bombing threes in summer league then chances are they’ll do the same at the NBA level.
The main ones that stand out as bad indicators of a players future are obviously the shooting splits, very rarely does a players 2pt and 3pt percentage ever match their rookie season stats. So as we watch today pay more attention to the sticky stats than the scoring is basically what this post is pointing at

Man I still can’t believe spurs lost the finals like this, ts gave OKC and Knicks fans reasons to clown us whenever we bring up valid discussions.
MAN FUCKKKK
Cost $60.35 to sit in the upper deck. And at the time we thought that was price gouging 😬
Just in: Minnesota is sending Julius Randle and the No. 28 pick in the NBA Draft to the Brooklyn Nets in a three-team trade that sends Nic Claxton to the Chicago Bulls, sources tell ESPN. The Timberwolves will acquire Brooklyn’s No. 33 pick for Randle and No. 28.

Lakers free agent forward Rui Hachimura also remains unsigned as the league proceeds to a third full day of free agency.
The markets for Kuminga and Hachimura, in truth, seem to be overlapping somewhat at this juncture.
Sources say Hachimura was very much in play for San Antonio before Tobias Harris rejected an offer to return to the Detroit Pistons. Harris and the Spurs swiftly agreed to a two-year, $31 million deal after San Antonio and Brooklyn were most frequently mentioned as likely Hachimura suitors before free agency officially began Tuesday at 6 PM ET. (The Nets, for the record, should still have an estimated $13-to-$23 million in available salary cap space defending on the final form of the trade they complete next week to acquire Julius Randle from Minnesota.)
As the market has developed, sources say Hachimura's representation has now been in contact with Minnesota and Golden State as well. The Timberwolves have a well-chronicled need for a power forward after committing to trade away Randle and Naz Reid so they can pair LaMelo Ball with Anthony Edwards and Hachimura is said to stand as their current top choice at the position.
Where to watch: ESPN, NBAtv, Prime Video
Any opinions on how they played?
