Introduction
Hey everyone ,
I've been posting here and there over on the /modeltrain and recently got an invitation to join this sub .
I've been into model railroading for a few years and started off with n scale .
Built a small layout and was not happy with the scale size being so small so I tore up that layout and recycled the track and turnouts and started building my current HOn30/009 layout .
It's a two piece long oval loop with 3 turnouts . Built on wooden frames with a plywood base . Running d.c analog with a homebrew pwm controller.
I enjoy scratchbuilding a lot which is another reason I jumped scales . Also narrow gauge stuff has its own special cool factor going on . Anyways not trying to write a book here just saying hey and looking forward to seeing more narrow gauge stubbies .
Here are some pics of my current build named " Shoal Creek iron and timber " a small narrow gauge branch line set deep in the Appalachian countryside. that transports loaded cars 15 miles down the track where it transfers loads to a standard gauge mainline branch.
