YA fantasy novel that I read on my phone during my highschool years

I remember reading this young adult book when I was in highschool, I read it on my phone on the book app, I couldn't remember the title, or what the book is about, but I think it's about a boy with powers of some sort, but what I can remember, is that he didn't have a good relation with his older sister(or is it his younger sister), he's half asian(?), he also has an indian girlfriend, to which I remember I purchased a sequel to this book(I think the book was a part of a series), with has a green color cover with an indian women, I purchased the sequel at B&N long time ago, and threw it away(I remember I've spilled a drink on it, it was an interesting novel, and I want remember this book, but I can't find it.

This is a reminder to join the summer fun of a mainline steam excursion of the Ready To Run excursion program, with KATO USA No.1986 and C&NW No.425 on the point of many different mainline excursions! Even with some photo runbys! Come join us to see mainline steam at its finest!

But this is where YOU can join in all of the fun. I'm giving the local model train enthusiasts in Reno-Sparks a chance to display their models at the event of any scale, but if you have any N-scale models that are operable, then you could get a chance to operate on the Ready To Run mainline loop on Tuesday!

This would be the final event of the summer season! So make sure you visit this summer event to cool down from the summer heat!

What do you guys think of Pokémon Contest in general?

Ever since the most recent Pokémon Horizon episode was released today, people aren't too pleased with Liko trying Pokémon Contests, and I want to know what this subreddit thinks of Contests in general.

For me, I don't hate them, but I do think there are other jobs/ideas that Liko should do.
