Dinner near Nissan stadium tonight?

Dinner recs within 10 min of Nissan stadium, not super fancy? We are going for a concert tonight!

We were planning on redheaded stranger, but I know it’s a small restaurant and am worried it may be full when we get there. Other ideas are Emmy squared in Germantown or two ten Jack in east

Also considering hawkers, but I’m GF/celiac and I’ve seen mixed reviews on if they have enough options there

Restaurant connections for a startup

Hello,

I'm an experienced Brazilian technology entrepreneur and investor. I sold my last startup to a NASDAQ listed company called Zenvia (NASDAQ: ZENV) and I'm currently trying to build a startup in Nashville (where one of my co-founders lives) focused on helping restaurants attract new diners. We have a strong team, with everyone bringing more than 20 years of professional experience. However, we're missing one key piece: no one on our team has deep connections within the local restaurant industry.

Since restaurant owners receive dozens of cold messages from startups every week, reaching out to them out of the blue doesn't seem like an effective approach (and believe me, we've tried, and it's proven to be very difficult). Because of that, we're looking to bring someone on who can fill that gap - whether as an advisor, an investor, or even a co-founder.

What would you recommend as the best way to find that person? How can I connect with someone who knows the Greater Nashville restaurant ecosystem well?

Thank you very much!

Saturday morning brunch/midday snack in East?

Have a teen from out-of-town visiting this Saturday and want to take her somewhere fun for breakfast or brunch since it's her birthday. We'll only have an hour around noon and I know that's the busy time for everywhere. I'm pretty familiar with a bunch of spots in East but wondered what people's recs are for somewhere with not too crazy a line, that might feel a little cool and exciting for her. I was thinking The Yellow Table or Turkey and the Wolf but not sure if it'll just be crazy long lines around that time?

Help me pick..

Im in Nashville, on Gallatin Pike, for a tattoo appointment.

I'll be here for a couple hours and I'm already thinking about food.

I'll have an hour drive home so I want to grab something on my way out. Any suggestions? Open to anything!

Mesero - 12 South

Since restaurants, and 12 South in general, have been a hot button issue, I just want to give a shoutout to Mesero in 12 South. We walked to lunch since I was working from home today, and in an area where it seems like “Mexican” restaurants just keep popping up like weeds, Mesero is actually legit.

It’s got a great vibe; feels a bit upscale but not pretentious.

The food is quite good. If I’m gonna have a “sit down” meal, then I am a enchilada or chile relleno person, and they are both great. Especially, the mole enchilada. You also get this complementary salsa sampler when you sit down; all three are excellent.

Drink prices are about standard these days for Nashville prices, but are well made. I normally get the jalepeña or the blackberry pineapple, but because it was hot today I tried the froze. While I am not usually a froze person, Mesero’s froze is freaking good and it will floor you.

I don’t normally post publicly about the restaurants we like in town for a number of reasons (although, maybe I should. For instance, I did ‘12 months of date nights’ for my husband this year as a Christmas present. Basically, he pulls an envelope each month and inside there’s a restaurant that we haven’t been to yet and we book a date there. Happy to post about that if people are actually interested.)

Anyway, the point is that it feels like Mesero is getting slept on because it’s at the end of the street with Fonda (expensive + mid), Bartaco (overrated) and the disaster that used to be Emery’s/Nashville Street Taco.

At home sushi for 2?

Are there any companies in the Nashville area that offer at-home sushi/omakase experiences for only 2 people? I’m looking to include this as part of a push present for my wife but I can’t seem to find anything. I am definitely not looking for hibachi
