Water pump housing bolts 04 V6

Does anybody know what sizes the mounting bolts/studs for the water pump are? I broke one while putting it back in when replacing the water pump on my 3.9L and want to just go ahead and replace all the mounting hardware

Can I just run 2 o2 sensors BBK

I’m installing bbk headers and noticed the driver side has a completely different thread design then the bottom ones. My machine came with 4 sensors also

New Edge Pricing

I'm currently looking around for a v6 new edge with a budget of around 4-4500 and i was wondering if that's around the right range for one in decent condition?

Radio squealing when I accelerate?

Stock 04 GT, my radio makes a high pitched squealing noise but only when I am accelerating. I've heard the same noise in other older cars before but I don't really know what it is. Any ideas how to fix? Thanks

03 Mach 1

My 03 Mach 1- just finished installing Bilstein shocks/struts/quad shocks and H&R super sport springs all around, energy suspension bushings and moog ball joints for front control arms, maximum Motorsports caster camber plates, J&M ride height adjustable rear lower arms, new stock upper arms and bushings, and various other things like bumpsteer kit, sway bar mounts, etc. it’s only been a few days so the car should settle into the new rubber isolators and drop another 1/4-1/2 inch as well. Ride quality seems good to me!

Painted mirrors installed

My brother showed up to my place yesterday and surprised me with color matched mirrors for my car and they turned out amazing (everything he paints turns out amazing). I have been wanting to do this since I bought the car but have been dealing with some health issues.

Wheel choice

Hey all ,

I have a 2001 mustang cobra. Procharged, tr3650 swap and 4.10 gears. (300 kw on dyno) .Stock suspension tho.

I have those American racing 18 inch wheels on it currently (255 front, 285 rear). I got my hands on some s550 19 inch rspec wheels (255 front and 275 rear). Does anyone that has s550 wheels on their new edge advise on what changes they saw . And also I’m wondering if putting bigger wheels on the car will make any parts wear out faster.

Thanks all

Figured I would share some of the other paint work done since I bought my car in

I put a new to me/used hood on it as I plan on getting a cowl hood sooner than later, a 03-04 Cobra front bumper, and a factory 03 Cobra deck lid and spoiler. I didn’t blend the fenders or quarters as I plan on painting the rest of the car this winter.

Mustang gt premium w active exhaust opinions

Hi guys I just purchased my 2024 mustang gt w active exhaust and I wanna keep the function but I also want to add sound and speed I’ve been doing research and I’m looking into a h pipe because I like that deep sound more than the raspiness . Are removing cats actually as bad as people say? Should I look into getting a full cat back or is there a cheaper alternative where I still get the sound I want? Should I go for cold air intake and oil cooler because it does run kind of hotter than expected when pushing it. Anything would help I’m kind of new to mustangs I have a decent budget but don’t wanna spend too much money the first couple months of owning haha.. I have the 60k power train warranty also so I don’t wanna void that

Is this okay?

I bought an alternator off of rock auto without realizing it was for a bullit model so I installed it and bought a 6g to 4g adapter and I just want to confirm if that shaking at the bottom is normal or if I should remove the alternator

Overheating on hot day?

I just made it home after sitting for an hour in a random parking lot somewhere waiting on my car to cool off…

It’s a 94°F day today, high humidity, and of course when I get off work, traffic is HORRIBLE.

I got about 10 minutes away from home, just so happened to glance down at my gauges (I don’t usually pay too much attention to them, other than speed and tacho of course) and saw that my temp gauge was almost pegged at maximum heat.

So, I pulled into a turn lane, and found that my steering wheel felt oddly loose? I’ve had a steering shaft not bolted down properly on this car before, and this felt exactly like when my steering shaft was loose. I’d turn the wheel and it’d have no resistance at all, and the car wouldn’t really turn… until I turned it further and it “caught” or something. Anyway… pulled into this little empty parking lot and immediately shut the car off to let it cool down. Waited about 45 minutes to an hour, and took off my coolant reservoir cap very carefully… and found it full of coolant. Huh. So, since the gauge was indicating just below operating temp, I fired it up and began to drive again. And she made it home without further incident. Steering feel returned to normal as well.

So, is this a normal thing? Did I just get the perfect shitstorm of high traffic, high ambient temps, and using my A/C too much during all of that? Or is this not normal for a new edge GT in these conditions? I’ve seen my temp gauge start climbing before on a similar kind of day, but it never almost pegged out. It just sat a bit higher than operating temp and kinda settled in there, with A/C on full blast. Wanna know if I should just keep a close eye on the car in conditions like that or if there’s something wrong with my cooling system and causing it to overheat in more extreme scenarios. Last week, when temps were only in the low 80s for the high, never had any issues with overheating or temp climbing past normal at all.

04 radiator fan (2 speed)

Quick question - my fan isn't kicking on (with AC or at temperature). I direct powered it to test and only got response at the low speed setting. Does the high speed require power from both terminals?
