Unfortunately I’m getting a serious amount of packet loss causing some issues for me and the family

My service switches over from TalkTalk to Olilo tomorrow but wondered what time that will happen so I can plan install my new router for minimal downtime?

Hi folks,

Have just moved form Zen to Olilo and so far no issues, speeds as advertised and great customer support.

Am using a Fritz!Box 7530 AX bought from a well known auction site, which is working fine with Olilo with a few exceptions and a few things are not working as they were before when I was with zen.

I can't get the Thinkbroadband BMQ monitor to work. I have set it up but it's just showing a solid thick red block, despite having a working connection. This is with both the IPv4 and IPv6 connection.

Also, I can't access the router when not directly connected via WiFi on the My Fritz! App. It works ok when at home, just not when out and about, either on mobile data or another WiFi connection.

Are there any settings I should check?

Looking at moving my FTTP (OR) away from Sky. I'd long thought to move to A&A or Zen, but some light searching found Olilo and I like what I see. I would say I'm a 'prosumer' but honestly I'd just like a fixed v4 IP and I only 'host' Plex for totally legitimate media for when I'm not home.

Have my own router (an overdue-for-replacement ERX) which plays nice with Sky and the silly option 61 thing).

What are the main prosumer/consumer differences?

I am currently with TalkTalk and they are pants to be polite.

My contract ends on 24/07/2026 and looking to switch to Olilo. I will happily pay off my contract with TalkTalk.

Does this cause any issues switching now?
