Niall Horan shouldn't be immune to accountability. The it was just an "honest mistake" doesn’t hold up because the entire point of the IG post & its captions was sarcasm, which required scrolling through the carousel to the end to see the screenshots mocking Argentina & their generational wounds
This is an extremely serious issue for Argentinians. Their voices are not being heard. They know that post was a sarcastic hit at them, they aren’t stupid and that IG page is a very well known UK page that Niall has followed for many years and STILL does. They have every right to be outraged by what Niall did. Niall knows his fans will defend him no matter what and that’s so not ok.
No one is holding that popular instagram page or Niall accountable.
What’s the deal with all the social media drama today?
So Niall wrote on X that he is sorry for liking a post that was apparently insulting to Argentinians. I didn’t see the original post he liked. Does anyone know why so many of his Argentinian fans are publicly insulting him now? What was the issue with the post?
One Direction display
This is an image of a display in Oxford which features the bandmates solo work with the exception of Liam. What makes it even sadder is that LP1 cd’s were actually in stock according to the commenters. The decision was simply made to leave him out of the display.
I know it could have been a honest mistake by someone who doesn’t know any better or a misguided attempt not to profit off of tragedy by using his name without his family’s approval. My natural inclination is to give the benefit of doubt. This feels mean spirited though. I wonder how things like this make his family feel. Just because he’s passed doesn’t mean he’s not a part of the band anymore. It feels like a part of his legacy is being stripped.
One Direction doesn’t work without Liam.
