Phone mount for 2026 Z900 – struggling with Quad Lock

I’m looking for a good phone mount setup for my new 2026 Kawasaki Z900.

I’ve already tried Quad Lock, but I can’t find a position I’m really happy with. Because of the curved handlebar, I can’t find a mounting point that gives me both the right phone angle and proper alignment with the TFT display. The 360° system gets very close, but I’m always a few millimeters/degrees off.
Has anyone solved this on the current Z900? Which mount and mounting position are you using?

I’m currently thinking about trying SP Connect instead. Pictures of your setups would be really helpful!

Low coolant temp

Is anyone riding in colder climate? When cruising 100-110km/h my coolant temperature stays low, below 60c when ambiebt temperature is less than 10c.

Is this normal?

Just hit ~1k miles on her

Best bike I've ever owned I bought her saying it's a forever bike and I am confident I would never need a upgrade.

Few questions tho

I'm going to do my oil services every 3k to 4k miles just for the fact I want it the rest of my life. is this overkill?

Yes I have done the 600 mile service

I wanna know what tires I should get after my stock ones go out.

- I love how it tips into corners, love spirited canyon and twisties

- occasionally will use it for highway use spirited ofc taking corners fast and obviously strait line.

I'm between 2cts and sport 6's

My friend says that I should get 2cts because the 6 will wear fast in the center. And I want a good cornering tire for spirited cornering and fun as well as longevity any other suggestions for tires would be awesome. I love the stock tires for their cornering and stuff I love the way it tips into corners

Installing carplay and type C chargers in Z900 2027

Last bike I had came with a USB port and I thought it was so basic that I never questioned if the Z900 had one, because of course it would have one....

Surprise surprise, it doesn't....

Had to read the manual and cut a few cables, but I managed to install two ports for USB type C (keep insta360 and Ace Pro 2 charged for long rides) and a carplay for maps, music and notifications.

The whole set up was around ~48 USD (880 MXN). Could've gone to a workshop, but they quoted me at almost 300 USD, so I took to Amazon and started cutting cables.

ACC could be easier to access, I had to unscrew the front screen and pray I was cutting the right cables. Would've loved it if it had an ACC connection next to the battery, but nothing a little tinkering can't fix.

Joining the club with some light mods

Bought a brand new Z900 2027.

I had been on a wait list for like 4 months, and bought a luggage rack in anticipation, which I installed on day one.

I know some people don't like the look of luggage on naked bikes, but I dont mind it and it's very comfortable for me where I live, as I need to take my laptop, gym clothes and whatever else daily.

Last bike I had was a Z500 2025, and while I still love that bike, I felt a bit limited by the engine, so the Z900 is perfect, being the basically the same bike with more power and more technology (love the riding modes)

I didn't check and turns out my Z900 doesn't come with a USB charger, so I had to buy an aftermarket one and do some electric tinkering, but now with that, the insta360 mount and all the luggage, I can say this is the bike that I wanted.

So ich hab lange überlegt.

Der Anfang war einfach der Standard. Ich wollte so viel wie möglich selbst verändern. Habe zwischenzeitlich Highsider-Lenkerendenspiegel montiert, die sind wieder weg. Suche da noch was zu mir passt. Habe eine Cola-Dose von SC Projekt dran, gluckert schön, der gefällt mir, auch wenn das mit Euro 5 immer so 'ne Sache ist. Neue Sitzbank ist in der Mache. Doppelte Freude, weil nicht nur die Optik aufgewertet wird sondern auch der Komfort steigt.

Denke ich werde mich bald ein bissl mehr auf die Optik konzentrieren.

Neue Reifen sind drauf und die ersten 10.000km runter.

Love it!

Bin vorher 1 Jahr ne 125ger gefahren. Bin froh den Schritt gegangen zu sein. Verstehe jetzt so viel mehr von der Maschine und auch das Schrauben macht einfach Bock

Ich hoffe ich bin im richtigen Kanal.

Any recommendations for swingarm spools that have more clearance?

The vortex spools that came with the rear stand are pretty narrow and the spool hooks want to dig into my swingarm. Anyone know of some wider options for spools they are satisfied with?

2025+ US-spec Z900 breadbox delete — Has anyone found a proper mid-pipe yet?

I have a 2026 Kawasaki Z900 SE, US-spec, with the Akrapovič carbon slip-on that was installed by the dealer.

I’m looking to improve the exhaust sound, and I’m interested in doing a breadbox delete while keeping the stock headers and catalytic converter.

I know this was a pretty common mod on the previous-gen Z900, but from what I’ve found, the 2025+ exhaust is different. Apparently the pipe diameter around the cat section is larger than on the 2017–2024 models, so the older ebay breadbox-delete mid-pipes don’t fit correctly. I’ve seen people mention expanding the old mid-pipes, modifying them, or just welding something custom.

So my main question is:

Does anyone know of a mid-pipe specifically made for the 2025+ US-spec Z900 that deletes the breadbox but keeps the factory catalytic converter?

Just to be clear before the inevitable “just get full headers and tune it” comments:

I am not trying to gain horsepower or maximize performance.

I understand that if the goal were power, the better route would probably be full headers, cat delete, ECU tune, etc. That is not what I’m trying to accomplish.

I don’t want to spend the money on a full exhaust system and then another $300–400+ on an ECU tune just to get more exhaust volume.

If anyone has already done this on a 2025 or 2026 US Z900, I’d really appreciate:

  • What mid-pipe you used
  • The pipe diameter
  • Whether it was truly bolt-on or needed modification
