PS5 – FURIA / Voidship Shrine softlock – campaign completely blocked

PS5 – FURIA / Voidship Shrine softlock – campaign completely blocked

I’m playing Rogue Trader on PS5 and my campaign is now completely unplayable because of the forced FURIA / Voidship Shrine event.

Whenever I make a warp jump, regardless of which route or destination I choose, the event triggers and places my party inside the shrine. I can complete the FURIA floor puzzle and collect the reward, but no exit or continuation trigger appears, so I’m permanently trapped in the room.

I have already:

Reloaded earlier saves

Replayed around four hours of progress

Triggered the event again from the earlier save

Tried different warp routes and destinations

Completed the puzzle multiple times

Restarted the game and PS5

Submitted multiple in-game bug reports

Emailed Owlcat support

The exact same softlock happens every time. Because the event is forced whenever I travel, I cannot progress the campaign at all and currently cannot play the game I have purchased.

Platform: PS5

Issue: FURIA / Voidship Shrine forced warp event softlock

Severity: Campaign progression completely blocked

I still have saves immediately before the event and saves trapped inside the shrine if Owlcat need anything for investigation.

Has anyone found a working PS5 workaround, or can someone from Owlcat confirm whether this is being investigated?

What being a pyromancer feels like in Rogue Trader

It feels insane being a pyromancer! What do you mean that setting fire to myself is an actual strategy?! And how in the hell have I been alive this long?!

The Emerald Empire demands it!

I know that Owlcat is the publisher for SotR, but my point still stands.

Owlcat creating Dance of the dragon as setting for CRPG game ?

Hey everyone! Now that Season 3 has ended, I’ve been thinking about how perfect the Dance of the Dragons would be as the setting for a full-fledged RPG/CRPG

Imagine an Owlcat-style RPG where you create your own character, choose your origin, family, ambitions, skills, and allegiances, and then get thrown into of the Dance. You could side with the Greens, the Blacks, or even attempt to carve out your own independent path

The main events of the Dance could still exist as the historical framework, but your choices would determine how the story actually unfolds. Characters who died in the original story could survive. Characters who survived could die. Alliances could change. Houses could switch sides. Battles could have completely different outcomes. Even the final victor could potentially change depending on what the player does

And the dragon system alone could be incredible

Instead of simply being handed a dragon, imagine having to search for, approach, and potentially bond with one. Different dragons could have different personalities, temperaments, strengths, weaknesses, and relationships with their riders. Your bond could develop throughout the game, affecting how they behave in battle and how willing they are to obey you

You could eventually participate in huge aerial battles against other dragon riders, but the game could also make dragons feel dangerous and unpredictable rather than just being overpowered mounts

The political side could be just as important as the combat

You could build relationships with the major houses of Westeros

Recruit knights, soldiers, spies, advisors, and other companions

Negotiate alliances and marriages

Manage your reputation and influence

Gain or lose the support of noble houses

Make decisions that cause entire houses to change allegiance

Take part in councils and political schemes

Gather information through spies and messengers

Decide whether to support the throne, pursue your own claim, or remain neutral

Build your own power base and potentially become a major political player

And imagine actually meeting the major characters from the Dance and developing relationships with them. You could interact with Rhaenyra, Daemon, Aegon II, Alicent, Aemond, Helaena, Jace, Luke, Corlys, Otto, Criston Cole, Baela, Rhaena, and many others

Some could become allies. Some could become rivals. Some could become companions or political connections depending on your choices

The game could also have a huge branching storyline. For example, maybe you save Lucerys and prevent one of the major turning points of the war. Maybe you convince a powerful house to abandon the Greens. Maybe you fail to secure an alliance and your side loses a crucial battle. Maybe you become so influential that the original Black vs Green conflict eventually becomes something completely different

And Owlcat would be PERFECT for this kind of game

Their style of RPG already focuses heavily on character creation, companions, dialogue choices, political decisions, factions, consequences, branching quests, and multiple endings. A Dance of the Dragons CRPG could take all of that and combine it with one of the most interesting periods in Westerosi history

You could even have different character backgrounds such as Noble, Knight, Dragonseed, Merchant, Maester, Spy, Exile, Bastard, or Minor Lord, with each background opening different dialogue options, quests, relationships, and political opportunities

The endgame could be completely different depending on what you accomplish. Maybe the Blacks win. Maybe the Greens win. Maybe both sides destroy each other and another house rises. Maybe your character becomes a powerful lord. Maybe you become Hand of the King. Maybe you claim a throne yourself

The important thing is that the game wouldn’t just let us watch the Dance happen

It would let us Live it

Honestly, I think this could be one of the best possible settings for a massive CRPG. Westeros already has everything an RPG needs: political intrigue, warring factions, family conflicts, betrayals, alliances, dragons, sieges, exploration, complicated characters, and countless opportunities for player choice

Give me a massive map of Westeros, a character creator, dozens of companions, meaningful choices, faction reputation, a deep political system, dragon bonding, massive battles, and multiple endings and I’d be there on day one

so what do you think , would something like this actually happen and will people love it ?

Issue: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Xbox Series X - Pathfinder: WotR crashes to dashboard immediately after the (M) splash screen. Tried full reinstall, local save wipe, MAC clear, and console soft reset with no fix. It worked yesterday afternoon, now nothing. It's super depressing because I love this game and look forward to playing after work.

Help!

Just purchased my Deluxe pack for the Osiris Reborn, Money taken confirmation email received all looking good, right up till it came to creating my Owlcat account.

Entered all the usual details, but I'm not getting the confirmation email to verify my account. I've clicked resend numerous times over several hours now and not had a single email.

The email is valid, is correct, and obviously works, given I had confirmation of my purchase via it.

Given I'm supposed to create an account to gain access to the game, I'm in need of a contact to contact them, as there doesn't appear to be any sort of support link on their website.

Any suggestions, folk? Before I file a claim with my bank to get the money back?

A Dream Feature for Console Players: Custom Portrait Support 🙏

One of the things I love most about Owlcat’s games is creating a character that really feels like my character. On PC, custom portraits are such a huge part of that, and honestly, it’s probably the feature I miss the most on PlayStation.

The portraits already included in the games are fantastic, but the community has created so many incredible custom portraits over the years. There are so many amazing art styles and characters that it’s hard not to wish we could use them on console too.

I know consoles can’t simply access local files like a PC can, but maybe there could be another solution one day-like uploading portraits through an Owlcat account or a web-based tool. Other games have implemented similar systems, so maybe it’s something that could be explored.

Even if it’s not realistic for older games, I’d absolutely love to see this in Rogue Trader (if possible) and especially in future Owlcat RPGs. For me, it would make an already amazing role-playing experience even better 🥰

I’m curious how many other console players would actually use this feature?

P.S.: Apologies if this has already been suggested a hundred times or officially ruled out - I couldn’t find anything definitive, and I figured it was worth bringing up again.
