Liquor shops in Palakkad. (First time buying)

I've never bought alcohol in Kerala before so I've no idea where and how to buy it. Can somebody recommend me places near Stadium bus stand. Also do they check ID for age verification?

From when to when are the buses from kanjikode to palakkad and vice versa ?

Are there better beaches to go?

I am going Tommorow and if anyone would like , feel free to join.....

Remote dev looking for good cafés / coworking spots in Palakkad

Hey guys,

I’m a software dev working remotely near Kollengode, and lately it’s been mostly just home and work every day 😅 Trying to get out a bit more instead of being stuck inside all the time.

Any good cafés, coworking spaces, or chill spots in Palakkad where I can sit with my laptop, spend some time, or maybe meet people?

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Is avihitham normalised now

I was someone who thought like sex should be done only with partner after marriage. After my school i joined a clg in another district and that was entirely a different world. On the week itself I saw few couples kissing in public . So my clg is in a kaattumokk and we can see packets of condoms lubes even ipill when walking through the clg. After going to clg I've realised these things are not that much big deal . These things were really a shock for me . Ik that's bcoz of my narrow mentality but I'm much improved now .So recently I heard lots of stories of people having ahivitham. I've never realised they're this common. Most of them are young people. People who are married or in a relationship all are having more than one partners. I come from palakkad even here avihitham is soo common now. I can't process it . Like how we gonna trust someone. How are we gonna marry someone. What if they cheat. Loyalty is soo rare nowadays

Need opinion/suggestion regarding sale of my Crochet items in or around Palakkad

Hey guys 🎀

Thinking of starting a small handmade crochet accessories page and wanted honest opinions first 👀

Would people in Palakkad/Kerala buy stuff like:

- bows

- bandanas

- headbands

- hair clips

What styles/colors would you actually wear? And what price range feels reasonable?

Loneliness

I’m tired of being here. It’s been so many years and nothing really changes. I don’t have friends, and most days I just stay in my room, reading, watching movies, listening to music, and living vicariously.

I don’t think I’ve any social skills either.Palakkad feels quiet in a way that isn’t always comforting, there's a loneliness to it. People mostly work, come home, and rest. There aren’t many spaces to just spend time, meet people, or feel something new. For women, it feels even more limited. There are things I do like here. The rain, especially. And the feeling I get from books like Khasakinte Ithihasam, verukal or of mt's.I don’t want a city life,oh I hate cities. I just wish life felt a little more alive than this.

Cost of living Palakkad town and rural?

Hello all. EU NRI here (31 male) whose family is from Palakkad. But I have only lived there for 3.5 years as a teenager since parents mostly moved within India for their govt jobs. Parents are now retired and living near Kollengode, so I visit every year.

Fortunately, they are currently healthy and don't need any care, but in the next few years I may have to/want to live there temporarily (just a few months) to spend time with them. Most likely without a job.

So I am curious, what is a good cost of living estimate there nowadays? No rent to take into account. I mostly eat at home, no non veg and drink a little sometimes. I am into fitness so it would be nice to know what a good gym costs as well as how much it costs to get supplies (supplements etc). Any other expenses to take into account?

Thanks.

Anyone from Palakkad/Kerala wants to join me for a foggy rainy Munnar trip this week? Need a travel buddy.

I’m from Palakkad and planning to go to Munnar this week for a short trip. Right now I’m basically going alone, so I thought I’d post here and see if anyone’s interested in joining.

Any cafe or restaurant for couples which gives privacy?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some good spots around mannarkkad or nearby where a couple can sit, talk, and have some private time without too much crowd or stares. Preferably a restaurant , café, or any hidden gem you know.

Any suggestions from locals would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance

Yesterday I had the worst experience at New Aroma Theatre. Went for the 9 PM show and man, the sound was literally the worst. Couldn’t hear the elevation music or even the dialogues properly. The screen was also very small looked like a college seminar hall screen. 😭😭

Going to watch Karappu again in better screen coz the film was good....

Never going to that theatre again 😭😭
