Surprised by Billy’s help with Pardon My Book
Billy has stayed off line and out of the public eye the last few years and I didn’t get the vibe that he parted ways with PMT/Barstool on the best term so I’m surprised to see him not only write a chapter in the book but go on Jake’s podcast and tweeting encouraging people to buy the book. I wonder if he has some sort of cut of the profits of the book or if he’s just doing this out of the kindness of his heart. He seems like he doing well adjusting to a more traditional lifestyle
Pardon My Book
Only got up to quarter 2 so far but I’m enjoying the behind the scene stories. However, the amount of times a paragraph or sentence is repeated is the cherry on top lol I can’t wait for Zac’s chapter. Exactly what I expected from the boys.

PMT single-handedly bringing back books in the bathroom. I didn’t get the signed version but it does have a nice smear on it already.

I read the entire book today. Here is a review.
Had it arrive today and had the day off so powered through. Only took like four or five hours. Very easy read, as to be expected. Writing was engaging enough that I didn’t skim or get distracted but it wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be. The stuff written by PFT (which there doesn’t seem to be a lot of) was definitely the funniest and most engaging. Been listening for four years or so, and I feel like most of the early stories I’ve heard before. Most interesting inside-baseball stuff was probably PFT’s contract negotiations while the penn deal was going down in 2019. Format was a little odd, with all the guest excerpts, but I guess wtf else would you fill a book about a podcast with. Definitely paints Big Cat in a great light— clearly busted his ass to get to where he is and almost every guest gushes about him. Tim Woods, unsurprisingly, had the best written part of the book.
Overall 7/10 entertaining enough, worth the money, nothing special.
Behind the scenes chapters of the PMT book
I wasn’t overly interested in a lot of the talked about stuff in the book like the guest chapters and the niche chapters about podcasting (the memes chapter was 10/10 tho). But I thought the chapters where PFT and Dan talked about the business side like the PEN deal, their contracts, espn and Dave stuff was really interesting and well done. Also dans chapter about fatherhood was awesome . You don’t usually hear them talk about that stuff and how honest they were was really cool. Even more so given Dave gave his side in his own book like a month ago

Mark Mangino turned Kansas into a 12-1 Orange Bowl champion (2002–2009).
College Football Classics via X
Mangino transformed the historically struggling Kansas program from 2002 to 2009, leading it to a 12-1 season, the 2008 Orange Bowl win, and multiple national Coach of the Year awards in 2007.
Going Netflix exclusive then getting YouTube as a presenting sponsor is very Barstool
You would think for the size of the pod the sales team would’ve played them against each other better than that.

Anyone have a lip reading on what mintzy texted pft?

Anyone else’s Pardon My Book have misprinted pictures captions?
Picked up PMB on my lunch break after listening to the audiobook today during my shift (audiobook ROCKED!). If you look closely you’ll see the JOC and Hankey (biiiiing boooong) captions, Josh Allen MVP and the duck boat parade photos each are mislabeled in my copy. Bing bong AWLs did the editor blow it with your copy too? Or is this part of those mistakes, like Zac’s grammar, the editor was told to leave in? Lol
Jake Marsh pod with Billy
