I came across a very simple variation of yes/no dowsing in a Soul Journey that I had not really thought about before: no pendulum, no rod, just the fingers moving by themselves while the person is relaxed.
I will call the subject Noa. During the session she was asking her Higher Self how she could access information more directly without immediately pulling everything through the thinking mind. The answer that came was to use the hands and fingers as receptors.
The method was extremely basic. Go into a relaxed state, ask a clear yes/no question, then allow a finger signal to move without deliberately choosing it. In the session one finger was shown as the yes response. I compared it at the time with dowsing or muscle testing because the principle felt similar: establish a signal and observe the body's response rather than consciously manufacture an answer.
What I like about this is that it removes some noise from the ritual. A pendulum is useful because tiny movements become visually obvious, but technically the pendulum still needs the hand to move. So I started wondering whether the tool is amplifying an ideomotor response that can also be read directly at the fingers.
Of course this creates the same problem as normal pendulum work: expectation can influence movement. If you desperately want yes, the body can easily give you yes. So for me the interesting question is not whether one spontaneous twitch proves access to Higher Self. It is whether a consistent signaling system can become reliable when tested carefully.
A simple experiment would be to establish yes and no first, then ask questions where the answer is known but hidden from the conscious mind. Repeat enough times that chance becomes harder to hide behind. You could also compare finger signals against a normal pendulum in the same relaxed state and see whether they agree.
I would avoid using it immediately for huge emotional questions like “should I leave my partner?” or “is this person my soulmate?” because that is where desire can overpower discernment very fast. Start boring. Hidden card color, object in one of two boxes, something another person prepared without telling you.
The session itself framed the finger method as a first step, not some perfect oracle. That seems right to me. If it works at all, reliability should come from practice, calibration and checking yourself, not from believing every movement must be divine information.
Has anyone here experimented seriously with finger signals as dowsing, either alone or alongside a pendulum? I would be interested especially in people who actually tested accuracy instead of only using it intuitively.
I’ve used a Pendulum for over a decade and oftentimes it’s been correct (I’ve even channeled a ghost in a friend’s home and he verified where he was killed, I’d never even heard of the place and lo and behold, it was all true!) But other times it’s been embarrassingly wrong (simply asking where my keys are and it says under the bed when they’re outside, or when I thought I channeled my friend’s mother’s spirit and it said to do something special with her ashes - but it turned out her mother was buried!) I’m curious if others have had luck using one of a particular material like shungite which would block trickster spirits from entering? Before using one I always say a prayer, picture myself in white light, etc.
Thank you!
