The food in puerto sucks

Ive been in puerto for over a year and tried many places and one thing that’s consistent is how horrible the food is here. Cheap ingredients, oversaturated with seed oils, inconsistent taste and delivery, extremely poor hygiene that contaminates the food.

Even when you find a spot that is great, 1 month later it’s changed and no longer good as the chef left or they changed to cheaper ingredients that make you feel sick they’re so cheap.

Restaurants can’t hire good chefs and keep them, constant changeover in staff, poor training, inflation, cheap bitter customers that complain about price and catering to foreigners, and so on has made puerto food scene one of the worst food scenes I’ve ever been in.

Looking to rent a house from Sept-May 2027. Would appreciate any support 🫶🏼

My partner and I are looking to rent a house with at least 2 bedrooms, our max budget is 10,000 pesos, and we will have our car so can be outside of town.

Are there any Facebook groups or WhatsApp groups that someone could point me to? Or maybe you know a friend who’s looking for renters?

Happy to share more about us if helpful. Can’t wait to meet some of you in person soon🤎

Review de Las Turquezas?

Hello everyone!! Hola a todos

Me and my friends will stay at this place during our stay in Puerto Escondido. Has anyone stayed here before? Is it safe? Would anyone be able to share their experience? Obviously we dont have a huge budget but I just wanted to make sure its safe and legit.

Yo y mis amigas nos queremos quedar en este ligar durante nuestra estancia en Puerto Escondido. Alguien se ha quedado ahí? Es seguro? Me podria. Comoartir su experiencia ahí si es que se han quedado ahi?
Obviamente no tenemos mucho dinero jejeje y solo vamos 4 días pero queremos asegurarnos que es seguro y que sí existe.

July

Hey I’m coming next month for a week. Was wondering what night life is like? Me and my friend are in their mid 30s and want to go out with a more mature crowd rather than early 20s crowd. Also what are peoples experiences with dating apps there?

Puerto Escondido + Mexico City?

Trying to figure out what to do.

Friends are planning a trip to Puerto Escondido in late August…group will be there Wednesday to Sunday. Will be traveling from Northeast US.

V1 plan would be to fly to Mexico by myself from say Saturday to Wednesday and then fly to Peurto Escondido and be there from Wednesday to Sunday.

V2 is just fly to Peurto Escondido with just a layover in Mexico City. Would be there alone sat to Wednesday until the group arrives.

I have traveled a lot in Europe and Asia some Africa but have only done all inclusive in Mexico before which was fune with the group. But not my typical vacation… I don’t know any Spanish. Mid 30s male. Also open to spending time somewhere else (another layover city) other than Mexico City before heading to Peurto Escondido - but I’m not seeing many direct flights there this time of year other than flights to / from Mexico City. Thanks!
