Trainers treating people like shit

I’m a CT. I feel like I treat my store team and trainees well and with respect.
But when I hear or see how some trainers act like they are gods gift to QT, I get the ick.
Trainers treating quiktrip training like it is fucking boot camp and timing how long a trainee eats and throws the food a way.
Making it their goal to make work so miserable that they end up quitting.
What is y’all’s problem? I couldn’t imagine treating anyone that way.

Leaving Quiktrip

After a little over two years at QuikTrip, I’ve decided to move on. When I started, my goal was to build a long-term career here. I pushed myself, tried to grow, and genuinely believed this was a place where hard work and commitment would pay off.

But the reality inside my division has become impossible to ignore. Leadership is disconnected, inconsistent, and often so out of touch that supervisors don’t even know who they’re talking to by name. The culture has shifted into something unhealthy — not supportive, not motivating, and definitely not the kind of environment where people can thrive.

I never thought I’d say this, but if you’re considering working at QuikTrip, go in with realistic expectations. Show up, do your job, and protect your energy. Don’t break yourself trying to impress a system that isn’t paying attention.

Leaving wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. I’m choosing to invest my effort, growth, and potential into a company that values its people and actually recognizes them. I’m ready to be a better version of myself somewhere healthier.

How would you go about covering a hand tattoo ?

So I was told from a supervisor that gloves aren’t allowed, I have a pretty massive hand tattoo. How would you go about covering it up ? Trying to refrain from using makeup as there is a ton of hand washing within this job. Any help or solutions are appreciated thank you.

Is there anyway around the 90 day promotion freeze after a reprimand

Hello so I got really sick in may and went over on days. I also didn’t know about the fmla thingy because my store manager never told us before anyone mentions it. But there’s a manager spot open right now that I want to apply for but I won’t be eligible for another week or two and I’m wondering if there’s anyway around that. My store manager said I’d be good for the promotion but I know policy says you have to wait 90 days so I’m just wondering. Sorry if that’s a stupid question.

Don’t be honest on your anniversary surveys

Just about to reach my 5 years and i was postponing doing the survey, but after a few messages bugging me to preventing me from clocking out, i apparently HAD to do it.

I don’t really have many nice things to say to QuikTrip after the end of clerk ERP (“Let’s give all our most experienced, trusted clerks a 3$ pay cut!”), or Coffee WoW (“Lets overwhelm all our Techs and give customers exactly what they don’t want!”), or Fryers (“Lets get rid of one of our most bought products, give kitchen no hours, and we have a high schooler run it!”), but i figured they might want to hear my opinion regardless.

I didnt swear, i didnt point fingers, i didnt say anything personal. I pretty just told them in my answers that the way the company is now, is way different than how it used to run and is worse frankly. I told them how i felt about clerk ERP and how a lot of us have second jobs now, I told them how i feel about how the job has changed and it’s way different than how it used to be. and even to be a little light hearted, i put “10,000 bees” as my Family answer and put “pondering the orb” as my Hobbies answer just for a little laugh and to show that im not just being mad to be mad.

I get a call at my second job from the district manager the very next day, basically telling me to change my answers bc they “dont fit our vision for QuikTrip” and “Its supposed to be for you to celebrate, you can complain on your Pulse surveys” and they asked if they could set up a meeting to “discuss problems I had with the company”. Knowing where complaints like that go (right in the trash) and the nature of my complaints, I said no, also telling him that they are problems that are company wide and simply telling a lowly district manager isnt going to change how i feel or make it better.

He emails the questions for me to fill them out again? They dont care about how i feel, they just want me to spout good stuff? After being treated like how all us clerks have been for the last 2-3 years?

Has this happened to anyone?

Is my job at risk?

Hi all! I’m in the Texas market and recently I got into a bit of legal trouble resulting in me being charged with a crime. I’m going through the legal process right now and I’ve paid so much money to a lawyer and I’m working on the charges being dropped / dismissed but I’m still charged with them until they are gone and expunged. It was a misdemeanor and felony. Does anyone know if I’m cooked? I’ve been with the company 6 1/2 years. Don’t know if we do yearly or quarterly background checks.

Cult

As a gas station, it’s okay. It’s kinda quality. For an employee, I worked as an assistant manager for 2 weeks and quit, found a better job becoming the assistant manager at Footlocker, and it’s such a breeze. Finding out the reason why QT decides to put their locations in crack infested, homeless, junkie areas will always be a mystery. Getting paid Pennie’s on the dollar to clean up shit from dirty people off the streets, not being important enough to have our own bathroom, facilities, don’t even get a damn office to debrief. Flex mangers being mislead as “promotions”. Taking other people shifts and working off hours are not promotions. OT / Extras just being a slave, down on your hands and knees scrubbing the tiles with a toothbrush, just to keep up a standard the crack heads will disregard anyway, I didn’t get the feeling this place cares about any employee. Employees using this as a career stone, I feel are brainwashed. Cult like behavior seeing how certain people move. Good luck to everyone and god bless! If this is your career, I wish nothing but the best!

Corporate needs to get it together. I’m so fucking done taking any of you guys seriously. I’m not taking a reprimand for any of your guys’ bullshit anymore. Get it fucking together. You guys pussyfoot everything, you never think about the consequences, and your products fucking suck!!! your products fucking suck. Everything you guys buy turns to shit, everything new you try, you fail. I think you guys need to learn how to keep it simple, because you are simpletons.

NA Job offer & Orientation/tips

I had my interview for an RA/NA position yesterday. Right afterwards I completed my drug test. The interview was really straightforward. Since the interview was on a Thursday, and drug test has already been completed. They said 14 days to hear back, but I’m thinking it might be sooner.

Several questions;

 1. When should I expect a phone call from QT if I got the job?

 2. What tips do existing NA’s have that will help me transition if I got the job?

 3. What shoes would be best? I assume they need to be black (not with mesh or anything), and non slip.

 4. Any insights or breakdowns of what to expect with training?

Organization

This company needs to go ahead and switch to Workforce. The employees need the app on their phones, and we’re done working with four different scheduling platforms. Shit’s gonna get missed, and you all look like idiots for handing out reprimands for something that is your stupid faults. This job is already enough to take track of, and I’m not going to think about which email at which time I need to open on my days off. Life‘s too fucking difficult for this shit, I have no friends or family, I can’t just be scared that I’m losing my job every week. Fuck you, guys seriously. Get it together.

Does anyone her actually like their job??

I just did my orientation recently and I gotta say this sub is freaking me out. I have training next week. Every post I’m reading about is saying how people either quit or they hate their store. Does anyone actually enjoy their job and have anything nice they’d like to share about it?
