Goodbye…
I love this truck… but these gas prices are killing me! Maybe I’ll be back in the future some day. Traded my 26 RHO for a 26 Camry. For reference I was pumping almost 700$/mo in gas (Texas). 😭😭 I’m going to miss it

Pulled the trigger on this one after owning few raptors, picked up a dealer and immediately took a 3 day trip with the kids.
If I am using Google Maps in CarPlay, is there a way to make the map show on the dash screen. My Chevy had this option and I was getting some sort of message like it wasn’t setup, but I can’t find the setting to adjust. In my last truck, I did prefer the google map or apple map on the dash instead of the Uconnect Nav map.
Picked up my ‘26 level 1 on Friday with 25 miles on it. Approaching 200 miles of babying the truck and I can only come up with one complaint so far. I’m coming from a ‘23 Tundra and the pedals feel oddly placed to me on the RHO. Either the brake pedal is too far left or the gas pedal is just too small. I find myself only half on the brake pedal when braking. Is this just a me problem or do they feel oddly placed to anyone else?
Off topic, even with ~200 miles under 3k rpm, this truck is a monster. I can’t wait to unleash it more after 500 miles and an oil change.
In Feb 2025, I purchased a silver RHO with everything and put 14k miles on it. I am at 19 years in the military (PJ in the AF) and was on the cusp of retiring and pursuing my next career in aviation. I have my PPL and instrument rating, and I was going to use the equity from the sale to just smash through flight ratings. I would have had to drag my family, a wife and two boys under 3 through long days as a flight instructor to get enough hours to be eligible for the airlines or charter flight positions. I have a plane partnership ($90k for my share) and wanted to maximize the use of the plane prior to separation.
After I sold the truck and purchased a used Volkswagen, reenlistment bonuses returned and after deliberation with my wife she suggested I stay in for a few more years, use the time to get additional ratings and live very financially comfortably. I missed the truck every day, I loved driving my kids and wife in it, loading it with equipment, dragging people out of ditches, off-roading, loading my kayak in the back etc.
With the bonus return, I traded in my Volkswagen for a used white (preferred) RHO with 17k miles for the same price I sold my last RHO. It has every option as my silver, with the addition of the red accents and without the trailer mirrors. The only gripe I had were the mirrors as they created a pretty good blind spot associated with the A-pillar.
I am just glad to be back in the RHO. As my boys get older I will be taking them on tons of adventures in this truck. What an incredible machine.
Coming from a lifelong ford truck guy. So far 1500 miles and I couldn’t be happier. Added the side steps, roll away bed cover, x bars and air bags. The ride is amazing the seats are so comfortable and it’s just so much fun to drive. I will most likely upgrade the exhaust -still reading about what people are having the best luck with.
It’s been about six months now and I’m really loving this RHO.
For reference my parents helped me buy a ‘19 Tacoma at 16.. (goated parents) had it 5 years and loved it, but couldn’t help myself from upgrading when I learned about the rho. I’ve had it for 10 hours so far, super excited, drives amazingly.. but I’m also missing the taco already.😢 it looks like the rho ate my truck😳 I’ll get over it thought this truck seems sick, just curious how I’ll be able to adjust to parking on a college campus. Overall hype and just wanted to show it off
Considering swapping out my current GMC AT4 for a new Ram. I love the looks of the RHO but given current discounts would you go with the RHO, Tungsten or a loaded Rebel? Mainly used for a daily driver and for hunting and hauling hockey gear. I do tow a couple time a year for camping.
- RHO Level 1: Love the looks of the truck, though the gas milage concerns me a bit (not that my 6.2L v8 in the AT4 is super efficient). Also a little concerned about parking it with as wide as it is. Finding prices around 80k.
- Tungsten: Love the interior, hate the chrome. Super low payload concerns me. Great deals right now around 67K
- Rebel: Hard to find one fully optioned out but looks to be about 61k if I do.
Do you think it's worth it spending 12k more on the RHO than the other 2?
Edit: Updated the Rebel cost.
Anyone have a good suggestion for a good and easy to install bypass for the start/stop? 2026 RHO.
Picked up a Molten Red RHO from Mark Dodge. Papers are signed. I get to go get her on Friday.
Funny thing about it is that the hardest part of this whole deal has been getting flights to Lake Charles...
Any tips you guys used? The only carrier I see is to go with American Airlines and fly Pittsburgh to Dulles to Houston to Lake Charles.
I thought about renting a car and driving to the dealership from either Lafayette or New Orleans. I am actually trying to keep coats down since I have a car payment again.
I'll attach actual pics once I get my mits on her.
Anyone know if ram or direct connection is going to release a factory tune like ford does for the raptor. I’d much rather wait for a proper ecu tune than a piggyback.
I’m in the San Antonio area and am pretty paranoid about my new RHO getting stolen. Any RHO owners with the IGLA system?
