Hello everyone! Myself and my partner are both struggling students of the arts and we really really need to find housing for the upcoming (2026-27) school year! I go to school in Queens and my partner is going to a school in Manhattan, but truly anywhere affordable will do! My partner lives in Rhode Island, so you can understand the need for affordable local housing during the school year, and we intend to permanently settle in the city (I am a native NYCer). I am currently living with my divorced parents (in the same house 😬), but the house is being sold and I need to be moved out by October latest, ideally before September 1st! We are both adults and should be able to earn a small income during the year, but we can't confirm anything yet. We might be able to receive some support from his parents, but mine do not support us living together independently. Please please help us if you are able or know anybody who might be able to help! Any and all responses will be deeply appreciated!!

I have a private room ready for move in today. Looking to get a renter by July 1st. It’s a large room that comfortable fits a queen size bed+dresser (included) and still have walking space or room to add a desk or chairs. Ample closet space. The only flaw is the line of apartments were in doesn’t have gas from top to bottom, so no stove top cooking. That doesn’t affect the hot water or anything like that, water and electricity is all included as well as WiFi at no extra fee. There is a security deposit of $500 so a total of $1,400 to move in. I don’t care for proof of income, just please have a valid ID. We are 420 friendly, less tolerant of Cigarette smokers. The apartment is 3 blocks away from 4,5,6 trains on 125th street, 6 blocks away from 2,3 trains on 125th street, and less than a block away from M60 to LaGuardia and M15 SBS. There are several places to eat and convenience stores within walking distance, as well as parks and the east river. There is a public pool across the street and a basketball court.
