I have two pairs from CKT and two retail pairs. The CKT pair is labeled in the first picture.

I see no major differences at all, and I am super surprised as to how accurate CKT pairs are. Side by side you can’t see a difference. The shape is accurate, small details are accurate. The leather on the CKT pair feels good, maybe not as soft but still good quality.

The only difference I noticed was that the stitching in the sole seems to be slightly off. It’s extremely hard to tell and I don’t think anyone would notice.

Overall I don’t see any major differences and after seeing how good CKT is my only regret is buying retail in the first place.

Bottom Line Assessment

• Final word: RSD batch delivers strong value for this colorway if you want the Travis aesthetic without resale madness.

After a loooooong break on ban island, I made a big purchase haul and a few of them seem to be a bit off that wasn’t initially noticeable during PSP. I’ve never run into this issue before and I’m wondering how to go about working out an exchange or refund with a trusted seller. If you’ve experienced this, how did your seller handle it?

This is my newest addition to my growing collection 🤪. I got it late Thursday but wanted to put this baby to work before writing my review so took it away with me for the weekend. The short version is it’s beautiful, functional, and I felt so together with all of my toiletries encased in this gorgeous bag 🤩. The longer version:

Background: I travel a lot, quick trips in and out and if I’m flying I NEVER check a bag. So I’ve always used my authentic LV toiletry bag for travel size items until the interior was literally ripped to shreds and I replaced it with a rep (which I love). I’ll keep using that for plane trips but I wanted to get this larger Dopp bag for road and train trips so I can take more of my stuff and full size items.

Let me tell you what I love about it besides how it looks :

the size is perfection: Fits all my full size bottles for morning and night routines! Definitely good for everything you need for longer trips.

The organization factor: the way it opens with the double zipper lets you see everything inside so easily! My husband has the leather coach one with the single zipper and it’s so annoying to move everything around to find what you need. This also has a little zipper pocket inside.

Magnetic closing. I don’t know why I love this but I do! It feels so secure and extra in a good way.

The handle. At the hotel I used the carry handle to hook it on the towel hook because the bathroom didn’t have enough counter space to keep both of our stuff out.

Final Verdict: so easy to pack and being able to travel with all my usual stuff without having to edit anything out felt decadent! I haven’t even unpacked it yet- been using my toiletries straight out of it - that’s how easy it is. And I’ve already decided to replace my husband’s Dopp kit-maybe in blue ? Another winner 🏆.

Ok. So I want to wade into new territory with a white bag. I saw the white P9 and I just love it but I don’t own anything white and it feels like maybe too big/heavy looking for light summer clothes? I want to start with a small white bag and have landed on a cc caviar woc. Can you help me choose between these 2? I love the simplicity of the first one with the smaller logo and the magnet closure. But I like that the second one has the adjustable strap (but don’t like the turn lock). Ideally I could get the white caviar with the small cc with the magnetic closure and an adjustable strap - but I couldn’t find it !! If anyone knows or if you already have one of these please lmk what you think🙏🏻. Also, silver or gold hardware? I’m thinking gold ….

Quality Assessment (individually marked)

Material and construction- 10 / 10

I was so on the fence about HPs empr3int3 leather because I’ve seen both good and bad comments, so when I initially decided on this All in B- B style, I was planning to go monogram…BUT…I really wanted the black leather so I could use it for more formal/night events. Hyperpeter convinced me that his new empr3int3 source is incredibly soft and he’s gotten lots of positive feedback on it so I bit the bullet and ordered the empr3int3. Truthfully, I am so glad I took the leap of faith because this leather is gorgeous in person! The pics don’t justify it and make the embossing look deeper than it really is in real life. I’ve gone into the store to check out the empr3int3 leather in person and I’m happy to say this is a great match to the feel and look of the auth empr3int3! The pics are misleading so I hope my description does it justice!

The texture of this rep cowhide leather isn’t too coarse, the auth leather feels a bit more pillowy in real life but this rep empr3int3 is closer to the auth than my wooden floor/DF one. The wood floor/DF empr3int3 has a bit more of a plasticky feel to it and the embossing is a bit more shiny, (I got that one from Anna a while ago) so hands down, this one from HP is better!

The bag is really well made, no off stitches anywhere and no loose microfib3r lining/crooked attached parts. All the small details of the luggage tag, extra straps etc are well made and the leather of these pieces are on par with the rest of the bag. I find that some lower tier reps have leather bits that don’t match the main bag and it’s a disappointment but this one is consistent throughout (I’ve even gotten a bag where the bottom panel felt like a completely different leather!).

Hardware – 10 / 10

Wow, the p@dlock that comes with this baby is HEAVY. All the d-rings and L-Vee clasps/hooks work perfectly well, not too yellow/warm toned and the magnetic button is strong too! The zipper of the small pouch slides like magic, no issues whatsoever. All engraving is clean and deep enough.

Accuracy Assessment 10/10

Dimensions and shape are a great match to the auth, mine measures 16.5 x 18 x 12.5 cm, strap drop for the short setting (which I love) is 12 cm, but it can extend to 55 cm if you prefer carrying it crossbody. No issues with the color or details of the hardware. Stitching is straight, piping on corners rounded correctly and the stitching around the bag and on all the leather trim (including strap, end attachments and luggage tag looks good. No chemical smell and the interior microfiber material is soft like the textile used in the auth.

I have to say that the design of how to adjust the strap is truly genius because this bag can be worn in so many different ways, from shoulder carry to crossbody, to clutch type when hooked in the middle. The opening isn’t totally exposed either so even if it’s a bucket bag, you can secure it with either the magnet or the hook. Truly a smartly designed bag by L-Vee, bravo!

Satisfaction Rating- 10/10

I bought this bag based on the theory that it would be a good fit for my needs and I have to say, I was completely blown away when I opened up the box. The leather is gorgeous!!! I also loved the design and how it fit on my body! I will say that it’s the bag I didn’t know I needed but once I wore it a couple times now, I’ve decided it’s a must have for all seasons and for years to come. No wonder this style gained such popularity in such a short period of time! I highly encourage anyone who is looking for an L-Vee mid sized bag to consider this!

HP was slow to respond a couple of times when I was asking for updates and I also missed asking for psps (which is totally my fault, in hindsight). I was redirected to Booker who was able to send me tracking so that was the last I conversed with HP but overall the transaction was good and the bag I got blew me away, so I can’t really deduct major points for my experience. Overall I do feel that Hyperpeter’s a busy guy so he might not have seen my messages immediately but when he did respond, he was always kind and attentive. If you’re looking for someone who responds at a snap of a finger this may not be the best fit for you so do keep that in mind! Overall I would get more L-Vee bags from Hyperpeter just because his prices are good for the items you end up getting!

Really happy with my first order from Felix. I got a 1 8 7 medium black caviar C 2 5. Communication was smooth, everything arrived beautifully, and he even included a free bag charm and a gorgeous designer 100% cashmere winter scarf.

What also makes him stand out from a lot of other sellers is that he offers seizure insurance free of charge, while many sellers charge an extra 10–15% for that alone.

There was a small pricing mix-up at first, but he handled it professionally and genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with my first purchase.

I love Loewe, I really do, and whatever is wrong with Jonathan Anderson personally, j’adore his exact brand of crazy. After buying lots of RTW, shoes, vintage and an adorable Xmas ornament (which has since lost his little foot in a terrible wrapping accident), I still couldn’t pull the trigger on a $3k bag. This is a preamble to establish that a) I’m picky and b) I know ball.

My initial search was for a 2024 Suna Fujita hamster hammock, which nobody had because it was never produced. After throwing my cap on the ground and stomping on it, I settled on a landscape Flamenco in chocolate and moss as a consolation prize, which was available from Jipin and Qiutian. I couldn’t locate a single person who had already bought it in that colorway and would share the real life photos before I take the plunge - typical. Alas, the Amundsen spirit lives within me, so I thought “nevermind that! I shall be the first!”. I hit up Sophia, $285 leave my account, never to be seen again.

Jipin’s colors looked off in factory photos, but the leather was pleasantly absent of grain, and their representative stiffness could theoretically be fixed with some vigorous massage. Having said that, Qiu’s leather is widely lauded and the colors appeared more accurate, so that’s what I went with. After receiving PSPs, I was really concerned - the logo was thick and overfoiled, there was a mystery stain, overall construction was a little off and, most glaringly, the panels didn’t match on the bottom, which they do on the auth and did on the factory photo. I asked whether the factory can root around their stock and find me an option that matches better, and they declined as they undoubtedly have better things to do. I do find it interesting how the factory photos are used to sell an item and outline the limitations of that legally-dubious facsimile, but they do not feel beholden to the same example in creating a repeatable level of quality. Things that make you go hmm.

After picking up my cap from the ground and stomping on it some more, I ask for a cobalt Amazona 180. Sophia sends me some photos - the OF factory put forth an admirable, albeit slightly pot-bellied, effort (I have since confirmed that Jipin, Qiutian and Kata make it as well btw). It’s a brand spanking new design, so naturally I’m expecting the worst. PSPs arrive, the bag looks lopsided. The seller (tearfully, I assume) offers me a refund because they aren’t sure the factory can meet my requirements.

Skepticism permeates me. Surely, I must be missing something here. How come everyone else manages to get a bag that looks indistinguishable from the real deal and I’m the chump, inconveniencing my long-suffering seller at every turn. Deflated, I accept the fate of having my money back and walking around bagless, which is, of course, no big loss. But oh! A message! New photos arrive, blissfully symmetrical. Despite still having reservations, I no longer wish to darken Sophia’s doorstep and fold like a cheap suit; we wrap up on 4/20.

The bag arrived on 4/28 - the tracking never updated, so it basically fell out of the sky. The logos and hardware appear accurate, the leather is soft with no disagreeable smells or defects, and despite the unsanctioned roundness and a too-shaggy suede inside, it’s reasonably well-made. I mean, it’s a bag, it fits my continental wallet and obnoxiously huge phone, but there is just a natural ceiling to any excitement you can possibly feel here (or perhaps I should talk to my doctor about anhedonia). The leather is fairly thin, so be warned that the contents of the first partition telegraph to the front. The strap has a seam on it, which is annoying - it’s not in any of the PSPs, so I had no chance to flag it.

While ruminating on the perceived shortcomings of my new purchase, Kata’s version comes across my proverbial desk. My well-stomped hat takes another beating, I like it more - the sides and seams appear the straightest out of all other factories so far. Now, I would be remiss not to mention that the quality arms race has diminishing returns, we are talking about 5% improvement, but I am curious, so I fire off a message to Aadan and pick up the Kata one as well for a cool $250 on 4/27. I pretend it’s not an absurd purchase by telling myself that at the very least, I will get a jaunty post out of this whole charade. PSPs arrive after some sleeve-pulling on 5/7, because I am a moron and ordered something during Labor Day week, when the entire nation is smoking those gorgeous Chinese cigarettes with a Tsingtao in their hand instead of photographing bags. The factory photos showed impeccably straight sides with no bulging; my PSPs definitely show a curve, and the top handle is attached at a noticeable angle. I don’t love it and it bothers me, but I just can’t bring myself to arrange for yet another replacement. At this point, I’m fully done - I’m tired of arguing about even seams and parallel sides through third parties with people thousands of miles away who don’t even agree that anything is wrong, and hell, maybe I want too much to begin with. After all, a seller is not a personal shopper, they are just means to a bag-shaped end.

It’s probably a mistake, but I GL and the bag ships on 5/7, arriving on 5/16 (9 days exactly, just like last time, nice). The handle is definitely drunk, which I find oddly charming, like a sunburn in the shape of Oakley sunglasses or a dog with missing teeth. The bottom flaps also appear to be angled, albeit parallel to the bottom - the bag is somewhat trapezoid in shape. The magnet holding the internal flap closed is sticking out further than OF, which is tight to the back (I believe that’s the way it was supposed to be). The internal stamp is off-center - it should align with the upper logo. It would be optimal to get a bag with all correctly assembled elements for two and a half benjamins, but that would require a fighting spirit stronger than my own. The leather quality seems to match OF almost exactly and the structure is ever so slightly closer to the original, although I am mildly concerned about the way it crinkles when bent, almost like it’s coated. Kata’s lining is less textured, but the color is more saturated and internal stamp is crisper from OF. If I had to pick a favorite, I have to give it to Kata for managing a better side profile and a smoother lining, but neither of these is the enviable 1 to 1.

I may have saved some serious scratch on the bag, but as the famous post said, we pay in other ways. This infernal procedure left me in a kind of mood. I know, I know, the egg is on my face, it did indeed do this to myself, but I swear to god, I’ve had drug transactions easier than this. Down to the studs, what are we even doing here? We aren’t exposing the naked marketing behind luxury accessories, we are just replacing their marketing with our own marketing. Is the juice really worth the squeeze, quasi-gambling on counterfeit bags? Stress, doubt, conflict, the cavalcade of little disappointments. There has to be a better way, preferably something in between freelancing law in Whatsapp and paying two months of rent. I have seen a video of this bag from an unlisted factory floating around, it looks good, so they do exist out there, somewhere, and while both sellers were unproblematic to deal with, it’s probably better for my mental health and my wallet to buy vintage off eBay. If you’re interested in picking up the OF bag, and I surely hope someone is, it’s coming to a RH thread near you.

Finally received my Speedy 30 and Y$L sunnies from Reykey and they didn’t disappoint. (Also picked this bucket hat as a gift offered to me - will come in handy for the hot and sunny months, or bad hair days).

The bag was very well made, I look for quality not perfection. I’m a first time “online” buyer but I’ve had auth and reps before. The attention to zipper details, handles, leather straps, and selection of gold hardware that isn’t gaudy and cheap looking. All appropriately weighted as well. The sunglasses are where I have a challenge but that could just be me being overly meticulous. The frame and lens are sturdy and of good material but the arms are a bit shaky and one is elevated when opened and rested on a table. (Let me know if this is a concern that I should be worried about especially with age and use, but I have mentioned this to Reykey - the elevation I’ve only just noticed while unboxing for review). Communication was smooth, zero complaints there! I think because I learned from you to be patient so I was not counting days or messaging everyday. I was updated each step of the way so I never had to ask. I also did not feel pressured to buy or decide quickly - anytime I’m purchasing an item and I feel rushed the tension alerts me, the desperation is off-putting and a 🚩

Impeccable packing of all three items; I did not specify a box, IMO it is a waste of time, effort and space. For me, it’s quality of goods over pretty packaging all the time.

The logo is very off
So is the mesh right above the sole
Colour I didn’t mention as I understand (lighting, camera phone etc)

What should I be asking? What can happen in this case, should I request a refund or choose another shoe? I need the chypres and tabis very soon so don’t have time to wait

I got the grained leather instead of the smooth leather. I do love a grained back look so this is perfect. This is also the most current version of the puzzle bag and I think the factory did an amazing job executing it.

The style lining is accurate. The Loewe embossment looks spot on while not being too deep. The Loewe logo placements are amazing, it's found on the back zipper and the labels are on one side of the tabs. The leather is high quality. When it first arrived it looked a bit try, I did put just a little conditioner on it. It helps slightly but as time has passed, it's looking more and more moisturized.
