After a recent post, I realized that there isn't a very good single source of truth for factory refund and exchange policies. While it is true that many factories don't really accept refunds, it is important to detail that there is a lot of nuance to these policies that can help you work with your seller when in the QC stage.

Below you can find official Refund/Exchange Policies directly from the factories we all know and love. Only official policies will be listed in this post. I will continue to add to this list overtime so check back every so often!

Note: There are many factories that do not have an explicit policy listed, and there are some factories whose policies I may not be able to access. In these cases, its safer to assume that no reason refunds/exchanges will not be accepted, and only major defects will be considered for replacement. Sale items are always final sale. Always talk with your TS to confirm, because what they are willing to do when it comes to exchanges also matters!

Do any of these policies differ from what you've been told or do you have a different experience with any of these factory's policies?

GOD FACTORY

1. No Refunds: All sales are final. Standard cash/payment refunds are strictly prohibited.
2. Quality Issues (48-Hour Deadline): If there are structural flaws, hardware defects, or leather damage, the seller must be notified within 48 hours of courier delivery.
3. Exchanges (7-Day Window): Style/color swaps are allowed within 7 days, but they will dock a 100–200 RMB wear-and-tear fee, and the buyer generally covers return shipping.
4. Custom Exclusion: Any bespoke/customized pieces are ineligible for both return and exchange under any circumstance.

POMEGRANATE FACTORY

1. No Refunds or Exchanges on Special Price/Sale Items: All sales are final.
2. Special Priced Goods are new & Unopened: Items are not promised to be flaw free. The factory says if you are a perfectionist please look elsewhere or consider buying regular priced items.
3. Protective Film & Packaging: Returns on will only be accepted if the original film and protective packaging is in place over all straps and hardware on both sale and regular priced items.
4. No Reason Returns are Not Accepted: Buyer's remorse or having a change of mind is not an acceptable reason for return.
5. Quality Issues: Minor discrepancies do not qualify as defects.

1. Protective Film & Packaging: Returns and exchanges will only be accepted if the original film and protective packaging is in place over all straps and hardware.

⏱️ LOGISTICS & TIMELINE

"High Tier" H reps is not for the faint of heart when it comes to logistics. Ill try to break this down so you can really understand some of the planning and waiting that gets involved in these types of purchases.

Keep in mind this was my first rep purchase of this caliber, so it felt a lot more intense than some of my H purchases of a similar nature these days.

• Planning Phase | 4/21-4/28: Before even reaching out to Mark, it took me about a week to even settle on the details of what I wanted. The H reps are highly customizable, and there are so many options out there. Its very easy for you to end up with a high tier fantasy bag if you dont pay attention to authentic exterior leather choices, interior leather choices, hardware choices, engravings (because it changes from year to year, hardware type) date codes, blind/foil stamps, HSS stamps, leather type stamps, maker codes. I dont mean to turn anyone off, but unless you have an authentic reference you really can be flying blind in some cases.
• Ordering Phase | 4/28-5/3: It took a few days to get the details of my order settled. I asked a lot of questions about leather swatches, hardware, timeline, seizure insurance, and more. I came prepared with a pretty detailed break down of the bag I wanted covering every single aspect that I mentioned from the planning phase. Mark confirmed everything, and ended up quoted me 30 days. Finally on 5/3 I finalized my order and sent a deposit.
• Waiting Phase I 5/3-5/30 During this time there was some chatter confirming and reconfirming a few details of my order. Ill also preface this by saying I am a pretty chill customer and I dont pester makers every single day. I followed up with Mark about an order update or swatch a few times and was largely left on read lol. I think wechat is not his preferred method of communication (which I actually found out at the end). He was a pretty reputable maker, so I wasnt very concerned and didnt feel the need to blow his phone over this. I finally got a leather swatch of the vert olive TC on the 30th.
• Waiting Phase II: 5/30-6/11: I followed up once during this time, on 6/6, but didnt get a response till I got my PSPS on 6/11. They were absolutely fire. The bag looked great.
• PSPS & QC Phase: 6/11-6/28: One I got my PSPS I posted to a few rep discords to get feedback. It was aback and forth between me and Mark, with me asking questions and for different photos/videos. Mark was super patient and complied with all my requests. There was something wrong with the engravings and he agreed to fix it.
• Engraving Fix | 6/28-7/20: I did not pressure Mark at all during this phase. After 2 months, I decided I was going to get this bag when I got it, and I wasnt going to drive myself or Mark crazy following up a million times. Mark would often send me "hi" messages, but with no other response to my hello or hows it going. He eventually sent me pictures of the engravings which were really spot on with my auth references.
• Final Stretch | 7/28 - 8/4: There were still some photos of the blind stamps that I was waiting on. He finally sent these over to me and with that my bag was done!

These bags always take a while to make, and its not something you should go into if you are not prepared for potential delays. Research the maker, read reviews and get an understanding of their timelines and be prepared to be flexible.

🔍 THE DEEP DIVE

1. Rep Experience:

This bag was my holy roman empire for the first few months of this year, and Mark absolutely delivered on this bag.

Leather: This bag is made of vert olive (61) taurillion clemence, an absolutely gorgeous deep neutral green that was discontinued a few years back. The color matching on this bag is very accurate to all of my authentic references, and can be a bit of a chameleon depending on the type of lights that hit it. Sometimes it can look very dark and moody in lower or indirect light, and then soft and sagey in bright and direct light.

TC is also a very soft and slouchy leather, so this bag tends to be a bit floppy on top. The hand feel is softer and a lot less powdery than togo, and has such a nice and plush handfeel. Mark only uses imported TC, and it really lived up to all my expectations.

Hardware: The hardware on this bag is very substantial. I have a few mid tier bags from other makers, and the PHW Mark uses really leaves them all in the dust. It feels very expensive and weighty.

Stamping & Engraving: No notes. I was worried I was going to get a crooked stamp, but it came out neat and very straight.

Overall thoughts on the JPGII: This bag is a beast. At 42cm in an east west configuration, this is one of the longest bags I own. I was worried that the bag would be long and too shallow to fit anything, but as you can see it can fit a lot of stuff in it without issue. The JPGII has internal pockets and a zipper, so is a bit more functional without an organizer, though I think I might grab one to help it keep its shape without flopping over. It fits easily over the shoulder, but is a bit tight if you are wearing winter clothes or a heavy jacket. Either way, you can still hand carry it like any other top handle bag.

This is probably one of those bags I would get in another color because I enjoy carrying it so much. 😂 Im not going to, but the thought is there.

2. Seller Experience :

Mark is very highly regarded in the H rep space. I have seen him put out banger after banger bag, and I've only heard good things about his dedication to his craft. In working with him, I think my biggest complaint was the communication gaps, and if this was a maker that was not as highly regarded I would have been SUPER worried.

On the flip side however, Mark's temperament and disposition was very easy and pleasant to work with. There are horror stories about some makers in the space crashing out on customers who were unhappy, but not once did he ever loose his patience with me. He was always super professional and did what he could to meet my requests and make sure I was happy with the bag. That always inspired a lot of confidence in me while weathering some of the longer waits.

I had a lot of laughs and sent him memes to lighten the mood during the waiting period. I wish I had known at the very beginning that WeChat was apparently not his preferred method of communication, so I highly recommend sticking to WA if you decide to work with him.

⚖️ FINAL VERDICT

The Bottom Line: I am happy as hell with this bag, and think its going to be a very well loved bag that I will get many years out of. I would go to Mark again for another bag, but would probably think about using a different contact method to make sure communication went a bit faster.

# 🔍 THE DEEP DIVE

Ive spent a couple days with the Marlo 17, and feel finally feel like I can sit down and write a review on my first impressions and feelings on this bag.

Ill preface this by saying I bought this bag expecting not to love it + because of a little bit of fomo. Finding this bag repped in this size and color made of true OML is apparently not easy. To be quite honest though the shape of this bag remindes me of the victoria secret bags from 2007 that you would get free with a purchase over $40 LOL. Okay, glad I got that off my chest.

**Leather**: Since this was a big bag, I was expecting there to be a lot of veining and wrinkling and slight imperfections. With larger bags you have less room to avoid those imperfections on the hide, so when I received this bag I was pleasantly surprised. The leather is very consistent throughout and very luscious. It does have some veining though, which isn't very visible. It passed the water and scratch test and smells very lovely. It has a slight oily sheen that will probably deepen as it patinas.

**Functionality**: Ive been using this bag as my personal item while doing business travel. So far I really love it, though I do carry my dust bag so it doesnt have to sit on the icky airplane floor. (I have horror stories about sitting my reps directly on the ground). The marlo 17 is a HUGE bag, but does fit under the seat in front of me easily.

It fits: a 13-inch laptop in a sleeve, headphones,a small travel blanket, a dustbag, two cosmetic pouches, a charger, a Kindle, two phones, a stack of 100 business cards, some snacks, a can of soda, and other random knick-knacks.

You can fit another laptop inside + other things if you were Tetris-ing it, but that's everything that fit just by throwing it in randomly, and that was comfortable enough for me to shoulder carry.

It also has a zipper which is such a win for travel.

When not shoulder carrying, however, this bag fit nicely on top of my Rep Rimowa. I would probably want to buy som straps to attach to the handle for more security, but if you dont have that the straps do fit just well over the handle of my luggage to keep it secured on top.

Overall, I LOVE this bag and cannot believe I talked so much shit about it at the very beginning. 😂 It's great for travel if you don't mind babying it a bit, and it's comfy on the shoulder even when filled with a bunch of stuff.

# ⚖️ FINAL VERDICT

**The Bottom Line:** I love this bag. If I had more closet space I would get it in black, but alas she is too damn big. If you can find a rehome in OML, this bag is such a treat and great for travel.

🔍 THE DEEP DIVE

Now that I've had this bag for a little over a month and a half, I wanted to review TR's shoulder margaux 12 that I recently purchased during a GB!

First off, while I've never been particularly drawn to the idea of quiet luxury, I have been more conscious of the bags I wear since I have a very people facing job. Certain brands (LV, H, etc) always felt so gaudy or just not right using them for certain types of business meetings. The in your face logos always was just too much.

With that in mind, I really appreciate how this bag is very chic in terms of its shape, luxe because of its leather, and effortless to carry without screaming I was purchased from "XYZ brand".

About the Style

The Margaux family of bags are probably my current favorite out of them all. The shape is very unique, and stands out without being too overwhelming. The shoulder margaux 12 sits very comfortably on the shoulder, and drops down to my waist. In some ways it remides me of a shorter Shoulder Birkin with way more of a drop in the handle.

This bag would be great for wearing over winter coats because of that handle drop, and is SO spacious. It can fit a lot of daily essentials, like cosmetic pouches, a small notebook, wallet, 20oz waterbottle, head phones and more. A 13 inch laptop fits, but depending on the dimensions may poke out of the bag a tiny bit and give your bag that funny sideways look when something a bit too long is in it.

Thankfully I dont always need my work laptop for certain business meetings, but would recommend a Marlo 14 or a Marg 15 or 17 if you need to carry a work laptop.

About the Leather

This bag is made from original masoni leather, which is often described as being in the same ball park as H's barenia in terms of how it reacts to water and ages. Water absorbs readily into the bag, and dries without issue. Scratches (thankfully because im so rough on my bags) can be buffed out.

I will admit I do baby this bag a bit, and would not recommend it around kids or situations where it can get super dirty. When traveling with it I used a dustbag when using it as my personal item to avoid any plane ick from staining the leather.

In terms of appearance the leather has a nice oily sheen on it, a little bit of wrinkling but otherwise no visible veining.

⚖️ FINAL VERDICT

The Bottom Line: I love this back and have it in OML, and black nubuck. Its great as a luxe daily cary or in cases where you may not need a laptop for a work meeting. I really love this bag and cannot recommend it enough.

After sharing my BOTD shot of P's bag, I wanted to do a quick comparison between it and another factory.

Note: Feifiei Factory's bag is always on the right

🔍 THE DEEP DIVE

First Impression: Visually, these two bags have a lot of similarities, which was surprising given the $120 price difference. However there are clear differences in hand feel and how each bag behaves as you handle and manipulate it.

Leather: First off, the rose gold color between these bags are exactly the same. When having my fiance switch them around, I could not tell the difference between these two based off color alone.

The caviar texture between these two bags differ slightly. P's is smooth irregular pebbled that gently blend into each other. F's cavair is more distinct and bumpy. However this is only something I noticed 6 inches away from the bag while squinting. The feel is not aparent when running a finger across the surface of the leather

In terms of leather softness, P's is by far much softer. The leather has a soft squish to it, that bounces back after being pressed in. F's leather is noticeably stiffer, and it impacts how the chain that cinches the bag shut lays. Because the leather on the F bag does not have as much give, the chain tends to be pulled more taught unless its completely cinched* (see pictures below)*.

Inside: Both bags' internal pocket has a bit of lift to it. If you were to pinch the bottom and pull, both would separate from the bag itself.

P's internal pocket is noticeably thicker, and more luxe. F's is slightly thinner and has a tiny bit of roll to it.

To be honest though, I didnt even know these bags had internal pockets. They are so dang small, what the hell are we putting in them fam?

Hardware: The straps on both of these are super similar, but I like the way F's feels on my hand and bare shoulder a lot more. The leather on P's strap is smooth, and the leather on F's strap has abit of pebble to it.

The cincher on the front of the bags look similar in color and feel. However it is a bit harder to cinch F's bag, probably due to the leather being a bit stiffer. While the pressing mechanisms feel no different, pulling the strap is a lot easier on P's.

There might be a difference in the cincher chain length, but I did not dive into this at all.

The CC hardware on the exterior side pockets (again wtf are we putting in these little pockets) are similar in color, but P's is much thicker. The laser engraving on F's is a bit blurrier, but its hard to notice unless im within 6 inches of the bag and squinting my eyes.

Other Thoughts:

• Yall ever walk into a payless shoe store in the 90s? Both these bags smell like that. The smell is a bit stronger on P's, but F's still smells nice as well.
• These bags weigh exactly the same (1.37lbs)
• P's outer pockets & inner lining is soft and almost fuzzy feeling. F's feels closer to soft cotton canvas.

Final Thoughts:

With time or with some manipulation I think the F bag's leather will begin to relax and soften. The main differences between these two bags have a lot to do with feel vs visual indicators. outside of that. When both bags are cinched they have a very similar look, to where the price difference may not make sense to a lot of people.

These are both good bags I think everyone should consider what they value and at what price point to make your own choice on which one to get in the future <3.
