marketing today—no promos, no sales. I just want to give you a general overview of the main rep production regions in China and how their quality compares. They're mostly
concentrated in four areas: Guangzhou(Guangdong) , Dongguan (Guangdong) , andAnshan(Liaoning).

I'll use the 25 Bag as an example, comparing reps from different regions against the authentic piece. This should help you get a better overall picture of the rep industry and how to tell products apart. I'm talking about regions, not specific factories—because many factories share similar craftsmanshipl evels; the key difference usually comes down to the materials they use.

1. Leather quality

Auth: Natural, fine waxed calfskin—springs back instantly when pressed, feels warm and supple.

Reps: Often made from rough leather or coated materials with a plasticky feel—no resilience when pressed.

2. Smell

Auth: A soft, natural leather scent when unboxed—becomes more refined after airing out, no harsh odor.

Reps: Often have a sharp glue orchemical smell-or an overly strongartificial fragrance.

3. Double C Logo

Auth: The C shape is rounded and three-dimensional, with precise openings and smooth, burr-free edges.

Reps: Often have off-proportions, roug hedges, or even visible burrs.

4. Hot stamping inside

Auth: Even font spacing, well-formed characters (e. g. , flat top on the A, shorter middle bar on the E) , with a subtle sheen.

Reps: Often crooked, misaligned, withuneven spacing and no shine.

5. Alignment stitching

Auth: Quilting patterns align precisely,stitching is neat and even-craftsmanship shows in the details.

Reps: Often misaligned patterns,uneven stitching, and rough finishing.

6. Hardware

Auth: Warm, aged light gold finish—solid feel, clear engravings, hexagonal star-shaped screws.

Reps: Harsher color, lighter weight, blurred engravings, and rough edges on hardware.

7. Shape

Auth: Soft and slouchy in the middle, structured on the sides—drapes naturally when worn, holds shape even when full.

Reps: Either stiff as a board or saggy with no support—easily loses shape.

8. Feel/Touch

Auth: Feels elastic like skin, not sticky—edges are smooth and not sharp.

Reps: Dry, stiff, or sticky to the touch—edges feel rough and unfinished.

One last thing I want to say: auth is auth, and a rep is a rep. They'll never be exactly the same. Price determines quality. Don't expect your rep to be identical to the auth—just hope it comes as close as possible.
