What are some predicted antagonists and villains in Rio 3?

What are some predicted antagonists and villains in Rio 3?

I know Nigel always remains a villain since Rio 1 and 2. But there is some animals and human antagonists and villains. Like when Marcel and his gang were arrested for attempted bird smuggling and Big Boss died from being swallowed by a giant anaconda.

Animal loving Rio fans (animal lovers who aren't in animation community-only)

What are your thoughts on wildlife depiction in both films, as it is nice to see vast Brazilian rep? We need more films like Rio 2 and KOATI. Seems like Ainbo has a similar Brazilian animal rep too, with Vaca the tapir (who named a tapir after unrelated animals is funny).

I have to clarify specific fans to animal lovers only because animation fans see Rio 2 like a dead-dove fanfic just because Jewel encourages Blue to leave his comfort zone. Bro, I went to grad school because my mom encouraged me in a similar how Jewel is nothing toxic.

For you reclusive animation fans, keep in mind Saldenia wrote Rio 2 to share his love with wildlife for families. He didn't know that 20-year-old fans of Rio needed more comforting stories to prevent provoking you guys. That's why Richard the Stork and Zambizia are better options than Rio 2 for you because is about an underdog getting comfort without going to uncomfortable territories.

Blu's tech dependency in Rio 2 wasn't a character regression but a logical continuation of his character growth and adaptation from the first film

Throughout the first film Blu is constantly shown to be dependent on human tech but even at the end when he learns to fly, he still didn't learn to be independent of tech. While learning to fly was a milestone for him it didn't help him learn other important things that birds need to know like foraging or building nests. They still live near a city so it was still easy for him to keep up his domesticated habits and the fact he could fly made it easier to get his talons on human devices. Rio 2 doesn't regress him or alter his character, it just accurately shows how there is more to being a free bird than flying and Blu still has a lot to learn. It even accurately shows how hard adapting to the wild can be for a domesticated animal. When Rio 2 came out I read the Poisonwood Bible for school and the family releases their pet parrot into the jungle who immediately dies from being caged his whole life. It also shows while Jewel is more trusting of humans, she's still a wild bird at heart and knows it's best for her kids and her mate to stop pretending to be humans and learn to truly adapt to the wild.

These deleted scenes from *Rio 2* show that Roberto was domesticated.

I'm not sure if it was Roberto, I found these deleted scenes on YouTube.

Tulio had no way of knowing Jewel's name

As the title reads, there is no in-universe explanation for how Tulio was aware of what the female Spix's macaw he captured was called. It had to be this way based on how the plot was written.

One could argue he simply named her "Jewel" because she needed a name for documentation/care purposes, and he chose that title based on her stunning appearance. This seems the most reasonable.

Being as this is the exact same one that her mother and/or father gave her when she hatched, it would merely be a crazy coincidence. The main caveat to this would be that Tulio and her parents had similar thought processes.

Not sure if anyone has ever thought about this, but I found it interesting to consider.

Red never going to ball like Felipe, Felipe is more fitting for FIFA compitition

Based on logistics and science, Red macaws are more aerodynamic with streamlined bodies and large wings to prevent drag and improve.

Red..... let's just say Cardel ate way too many seeds that look more like a cube with wings

A possible look at Nico and Pedro?

Right at the 1:20 mark is a remade animation of the beginning of Hot Wings with Nico and Pedro in it by Rainbow CGI which is an outsourced animation studio from Italy who also actively works with Bardel Entertainment to be developing a Nico and Pedro spin-off and with also the original animation made by Blue Sky side to side.

Even with the date of last year on July 3rd, 2025, is the most recent there possibly of the Nico and Pedro spin-off and if it's the closest we have to a look at it. But to the question if it's still being developed or what since the status has been quiet ever since with nothing still official about it coming from Bardel.

Update: Found the original animation by Rainbow and Bardel from an animator named Diego Viezzoli posted on his Vimeo uploaded as far back in 2017 so makes the re-animated version older than that. https://vimeo.com/215985286

is the movie liked by Brazilians themselves?

i was thinking, a lot of cartoons, Disney movies, etc. in cinema history will always depict one country or another as the way the director interprets it/wants it to be like according to the plot (f.ex. coco, the breadwinner, encanto, luca, raya)

i remember with luca, a lot of my Italian friends thought it was very inaccurate and exaggerated the Italian culture in the film and didn’t like it at all, is it the same case with Rio? do Brazilians like the movie or think it is too exaggerated as well?

i just have this childish attitude towards movies like these where it kind of gives me motivation to travel the world and see the places depicted, despite knowing that it could be dangerous/different. but is it valid to say that every country had their own good and bad sides?

my Brazilian boyfriend really liked it he said and grew up with it, but i was curious about others too :-)
