Driving in roseville

Sitting in the middle of an intersection is generally illegal in California under the Anti-Gridlock Law (Vehicle Code § 22526), which prohibits drivers from entering an intersection unless there is sufficient space on the other side to completely clear it.

Its dangerous. It's illegal. It causes crashes.

You dont know if you're safe from getting t-boned

Stop it roseville. Don't put each other at risk of serious injury and death. The brunch can wait a few extra seconds.

Beginner friendly spin classes?

I took my first spin class today and oh boy, I felt really out of place. Most of the class was off the seat, but I couldn’t keep up with that so I spent most of the time on the VERY uncomfortable seat. Then they added lots of arm movements. I was so overwhelmed and obviously not in good enough shape to keep up. No one made me feel bad but it was beyond my capability.

Are there any spin classes specifically for beginners?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA 🎉

Tonight is the night for all things pop, crackle and sparkly!

So what’s the best way to stay safe while setting off your assortment of pyrotechnics?

Here’s a few tips:

💥 Have a hose, fire extinguisher or buckets of water ready incase anything goes awry.

💥 Have ear protection ready for babies, very young children and folks with sensory concerns.

💥 Set up all fireworks on a clear, level surface to avoid them tipping over.

💥 Use a lighter with a long tip or long matchsticks (think fireplace, not cigarette).

💥 Do NOT allow children to handle, light, or wander around fireworks unsupervised.

💥 If a firework doesn’t go off, do NOT pick it up, poke it or kick it. Do NOT attempt to light it again. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then douse it with water, let it sit some more, then submerge it fully over night and throw it away.

💥 Accidents happen, so have a First Aid kit ready with bandages and burn ointment just incase.

💥 Have a large receptacle (bucket, trash can, rubbermaid container) filled with water. After the show, spray all the spent fireworks down with water, carefully collect them and dump them into the water-filled container. Let them soak overnight before throwing them away the next day.

Fireworks are a lot of fun, but they can cause injuries and damage if not handled responsibly.

❗️REMINDER❗️
ALL non-“Safe & Sane” fireworks are illegal for personal use in Placer County.

“Safe & Sane” fireworks are only legal to use within the incorporated city limits of LIncoln, Rocklin and Roseville.

ALL fireworks are illegal in unincorporated Placer County, which includes the “Safe & Sane” variety.

Please, DO NOT risk your community by engaging in fire-hazards just because you want to blow s*** up.

Have Fun & Be Safe #PlacerCounty

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸

Women’s Shelter Volunteer Hairstylist

Hey all!

I volunteer for a Women’s Clinic in the Sacramento area that provides medical services and social services at women only shelters/respite care. We are looking for any female hairstylist who would be kind enough to offer services at the shelter! We would make sure to facilitate anything you may need and help support you the best way. It would be greatly appreciated:) I live in Roseville, so I can provide a ride as well!

I can share more details regarding time/date through private message as well!

Hiring for an HS student

Hello. I’m trying to help my sister get her first job. Does anyone know anyone hiring for an entry level first job. We are trying fast food, yogurt shops kind of places. We need to keep it local since I am her ride. Anyone know of anybody hiring in the area? Citrus Heights works too. Thank you

Where to take your dog on the 4th of July

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping for some local advice. I have a dog that’s extremely terrified of fireworks, and while we’ve prepared as much as possible at home, I’m trying to identify a backup plan if things get too intense.

Does anyone know of any relatively quiet areas within an hour or two of Rocklin where fireworks tend to be minimal? I was wondering if somewhere around Granite Bay or the unincorporated areas near Davis/I-505 might be quieter since I don’t believe they have a large city fireworks show, and I understand personal fireworks may not be allowed in some of those areas.

Has anyone successfully found a quieter place on the Fourth? I’m not looking to watch fireworks, I’m trying to get away from them if possible.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Local Breast Milk Donations

Does anyone have experience with donating extra breast milk to a family or local organization? My daughter was born in April and we already have a surplus. Looking to donate some to a place that can use it.

Winding Creek Elementary

My son is registered to attend this fall. Construction is still underway, but I was told the school is on track to open in August.

I haven’t received any emails, notices, or information about his placement yet. I was told to check my ParentSquare account, but it looks like I’m not in the system.

Has anyone else heard from the school/district or received any updates? I’m starting to get a little anxious.

Thanks in advance!

Watch Mexico on Sunday

As the title suggests was wondering if there are some places in Roseville where I might catch the match. Obviously could go close to Sacramento but if there are watch parties or anything would love to know.

hidden mello roos assessments in crocker ranch area

Toured a few single family houses near Blue Oaks but noticed some extra property tax line items on the disclosures. Are these master planned community bonds permanent or do they eventually fall off after a certain number of years?
