Whether it's canon, post-canon or when Jinu comes back, what is your favourite headcanon or theorie about Rumi's and Jinu's relationship?

I'll start!

1. They love making videos together. Doing TikTok trends, "letting my gf do my make up" videos, "letting my bf pick out my outfits for 24 hours" and all that kinda jazz. Fans love the outfit videos because Jinu has a genuinely good taste in fashion and Rumi always looks flawless in his picked outfits.

2. [ANGST] Jinu knew Rumi's father, who was a high ranking demon (making that 2 loyal demons that turned their back to gwima). He looked to the man and saw him as a mentor.

-Rumi's father had sold his soul to save his dying daughter but because of her fast recovery, people suspected the father and he was put on trial. The result? Both him and the daughter (who they now thought of as an evil spirit) were ended.

- Gwi-Ma ofcourse "saved" him second before by pulling him down to the demon realm. The man lived with the shame of being responsible for his own child's death. When he met Mi-Young, he saw light at the end of the tunnel.

- After Rumi was born, he became hopeful that he could fix his wrong doings and protect his child. Then the hunters found out and he had to flee. He went into hiding in the demon realm, making Celine believe he was dead. Before he left, he told Jinu to keep hope. "Things can change, young one!", he told Jinu, and then dissappeared.

- Years later, Jinu would tell Rumi stories about her father and how much he loved her and her mother. Rumi would listen to these stories with full attention.

3. People say Jinu is a simp but people are sleeping on Simp Rumi!

- She is the type of person who'd mention Jinu in almost every. single. sentence!! "Oh yeah. I love music, as much as I love my boyfriend!". "Plans for this weekend? Watching movies with my two best friends and ofcourse my boyfriend!". "A funny thing happened recently where my boyfriend Jinu forgot the word for microphone and called it a speaking tube and I laughed so hard I cried!".

- If she needs to leave, she'll 9/10 times use Jinu as an excuse. "I'm so sorry but my boyfriend whom I love very much needs me because he needs my help and I'm gonna help him because of how much I love him!".

- Eventually, the girls will start calling it the "Rumi will not bring up Jinu in every unrelated sentence" challenge and it will be level impossible.

- Oh, and heaven forbid you say one negative thing about her man because you can kiss your reputation goodbye.

4. [ANGST] Due to growing up in poverty and being the man of the house, Jinu learned to let his mother and little sister eat first. Which often resulted in him going hungry. Or he'd eat the bare minimum to stay alive.

- When he sold his soul out of desperation, he hoped that nightmare would be over. (It wasn't). Then he spend 400 living in hell, met Rumi, fell in love and then died.

- But even after coming back to life, the habit was still in him, telling him to make sure those he loved ate first. And he did. Even though there was always plenty of food. And Rumi could always ask Bobby to bring more.

- But still, Jinu made sure she ate first and said he wasn't hungry or wasn't feeling well. Only after she was full, would he eat. Again, lying by saying "hmm I actually got a bit hungry from watching you eat" or "maybe I should try a couple bites, my stomach calmed down a bit" or something like that.

- Rumi always suspected something was off but ut was actually Mira who confronted the others (Rumi abd Zoey) asking if they were really that blind to his behavior.

- Explaining that she saw her brother act similar and feared Jinu had an ED. This shocked Rumi and she talked to him.

- After a lot of pushing and reassuring him that she wanted to help, Jinu explained his behavior.

- Rumi was left both relieved and horrified.

- But she swore to help him.

5. Rumi is QUEEN stealing clothes. Shirt, blouses, hoodies... you name it, she will steal it.

- Jinu buys a new shirt for himself? Wrong! He buys a shirt for them because he knows Rumi will end up wearing it at some point.

- The only thing she can't steal are shoes and pants because both are too big for her. Had they fit her, shed even steal those.

- If Jinu can't find a clothing item, he will always look in Rumis closet before he looks in other places. Because he know that nine out of ten times, it has ended up there.

It had 5 chapters, it was called something along the lines of Golden, in the 5th chapter Rumi and Jinu go to a soup shop or something like that, there's a scene where Mira smokes, Rumi and Jinu kiss in the 5th chapter... And that's really all I remember. I read this when I was an AO3 newbie in like November so that's also something to keep in mind. If you can't find it its fine :)
