I do love jealous Celine, and the idea that her (somewhat, at least, justified) aggression and anger to Mi-yeong’s demon lover severely damaged, if not destroyed, her own relationship with Mi-yeong, with MY openly choosing her demon lover over Celine, even though Celine thought she would choose otherwise. (And i personally headcanon Celine as killing Rumi’s father AFTER MY died.)

So, I’ve been wondering this for a while. Free was a pretty private and unique-to-the-situation-of-the-characters song. But post-movie, do you think Rumi would record herself singing her or both parts of the song? Do you think she would release her recording? Ever perform it? Or not think about it all, or at least keep it very private to just her and her thoughts?
(I personally don’t ever see her performing it in a concert, that’s for sure, even if the Honmoon did react positively to her and Jinu’s voices. Maybe recording it for her own personal benefit?)

So this is a question I’ve been wondering. She didn’t know him for very long, yet shared a connection and honesty with him that she hadn’t had with anyone. Yet, he betrayed her in a horrifically violating and publicly humiliating manner, but at the same time, she cried when he died, burning and disintegrating in front of her (even if he downplayed his pain) and was smiling at him when she walked into the stadium, confidently strutting towards him, wanting to set him free. And yet, in the end she seems quite happy and carefree, but at the same time (ironically thanks to Jinu) she is no longer hiding anything from her beloved friends and can finally be herself, a massive load of her shoulders, and also doesn’t seem like the type, even post-reveal, to sit down and info dump all her complicated feelings on Mira and Zoey, especially given I can easily see Mira unintentionally shutting Rumi down, pointing out how Jinu got tons of people killed and betrayed her, not wanting to hear Rumi speak well of him. But at the same time, Derpy and Sussie live with them now, and they’ll be constant reminders of Jinu.
So what do you think?

I bought the Mira HID doll because I thought she was the best-looking of all the Mattel dolls, and she proceeded to give my dog a nice belly rub.
I really hope that they restock the dolls at some point, because it’s quite hard to find any of Rumi’s HID or battle fit dolls, and the Netflix shop seems to be only selling the Golden dolls, which I don’t want.
For me:
- Katniss from The Hunger Games
- Jinx from Arcane
- Rumi from Kpop Demon Hunters
Huntrix are likely billionaires, if not at least multimillionaires, and I can easily imagine them donating some of their wealth.
For Zoey, I can see her donating to environmental/ocean conservation organizations or aquariums.
For Mira, perhaps organizations that help street kids/help kids get out of abusive homes (fueled by my headcanon Mira ran away and was homeless when Celine found her).
For Rumi, I’m not so sure. Maybe something regarding animal welfare? Education for girls? Maybe she would help found an after-school programs that partner with dance studios for kids who just want to perform/dance/sing casually? Maybe after meeting Jinu, something that helps disadvantaged people?
What do you guys think?
Not the images that always get dropped, like Rumi's shocked face reading Jinu's note, her face when Zoey pulls her hoodie strings, or Jinu rubbing his foot. Give me some rare ones!
So, KPDH has a lot of queer undertones in its themes, with Maggie saying Rumi’s story mirrors coming out, and accordingly, KPDH has a strong queer fanbase. However, there is no actual canon/explicit queer content in the film. Additionally, while Polytrix is arguably more popular within the fandom, Rujinu is much more popular with the general public and Maggie and Chris have said Rujinu are soulmates and Free is “a little bit romantic,” so queer representation isn’t going to happen with Polytrix.
But….what about tragic doomed yuri with Celine having feelings for Mi-yeong? I doubt they’d want to have MY be a cheater, so it wouldn’t be reciprocated, but do you think there’s a chance that Celine having romantic feelings for MY could be canon? It’s extraordinarily popular fanon, and it doesn’t “get in the way” of a ship the creators support if it’s one-sided.
Really, unless they introduce OCs who are explicitly queer in the sequel (which, hey, they might), this is kinda the only ACTUAL canon queer representation that I can see happening with what we have now.

Given that even when Mira and Zoey were getting crushed and pressed by demons as shown above, Rumi’s primary concern was double checking to make sure she was covered, I definitely don’t think it would’ve ended well.
(Then again, none of these demons bothered trying to suck out Mira and Zoey’s souls, so maybe if Rumi found something else to cover herself with then come back, it would’ve been fine lol).
But in all seriousness, do you think Rumi would’ve reacted in time despite her torn sleeve? If she did and saved Mira and Zoey, what would the fallout of seeing her arm be like at that point in the movie?
On a side note, the fact that she was so paralyzed with terror at Mira and Zoey seeing her arm that that was taking precedence OVER them being surrounded and frantically crying her name is definitely something that should be brought up if Rumi ever talks to Celine again, about how Celine’s ideology and how deeply Rumi ingrained it almost got Mira and Zoey killed.
So, a core part of Rumi’s motivational speech to Jinu on why he should switch sides is because she tries to convince him that he can be free from Gwi-Ma, that he can be on “the right side” of the Golden Honmoon when it’s created, so to speak, trying to convince Jinu there’s good in him.
But my question is….how honestly do you think Rumi thought the GHM would actually make an exception for him? Did she genuinely believe it? Was she deep in the trenches of denial like Celine? Was she just projecting, figuring the Golden HM could fix anything undesirable? Or was she totally bullshitting Jinu and just trying to get him to her side?

I can see being an AVID consumer and creator of Polylight fanfiction, much to Rumi’s mortification. I can also see her reading Spider-Man fanfic, and sneaking glimpses of Zoestery fanfic and fanart when Mira and Rumi aren’t looking.
So I’m reading this excellent Rujinu fic, ECHOES, where Rumi is sent back in time to prevent Jinu from making a deal with Gwi-Ma, and there’s a scene where she’s trying to explain the concept of the “clothes where she’s from” (aka modern clothing) to Jinu, and the author drew this hilarious artwork for that moment I wanted to share.

In general, if Jinu was stuck with Huntrix, how would that whole situation play out? How would Rumi keep the peace? Could she?
