Does this actually mean anything or is it just gibberish
It's a tattoo from a video game that my character has, But I don't even know if it's real or has any meeting. A danish friend of mine said he couldn't figure out if it was any nordic runes.

Looking to get my farthers name simon in elder norse rune symbols for a tattoo on my neck
Long time listener first time caller!
I want to get a piece of jewellery (and perhaps a tattoo in future) that includes the initials for my babies, Oscar and Rowan.
I'm thinking eldar futhark partially because nowhere sells jewellery with the younger lol, but also because it is more recognisable generally.
Rowan is obvious, Raido, but I'm a little unsure over Oscar.
The immediate assumption is Othala as per typical transliteration of O, but my understanding of runes is that they're phonetic, where Othala represents the /ˈoʊ sound (like the start of Odin), which is different to the /ˈɒ sound (like the start of Oscar).
Maybe I'm overthinking this whole thing, but I'd appreciate some advice/opinions on whether a different rune would be more appropriate, probably Ansuz.
Unsure whether to do bindruney stuff or not (YES I KNOW, AUTOREPLY), but atm I'm just wondering specifically about the initial.
Hello, first time poster!
I am looking at getting a tattoo in memory of a friend who died. I've done research and since there is no official accurate rune(s) mending that I have discovered bins runes. One bind rune I really liked was æ minni/minni. The above two images are of how I believe the binds runes for æ mini would look. Id just like to see if they actually DO mean 'always remember' or I remember/in memory
I was planning thinking of translating “Frogs shall rule” and from what I gather this is how I’d translate it
Fröskar skulu ráða
ᚠᚱᚢᛋᚴᛅᛦ** ᛋᚴᚢᛚᚢ **ᚱᛅᚦᛅ
Am I on the right track or is it completely wrong?
Hi! I have found this tattoo on instagram and i liked it. Can you help me with translation of it - I’m quite curious if it means anything or it’s just a gibberish. Much appreciated!
Can someone explain the significance of the symbol on the middle and what the runes on the edge mean as well 🙏
Hello everybody, I have a question, is there some runes of some kind meaning “health”, “recovery” or something along those lines? I’m just curious if I can have something like that in my stamp as a doctor
Hello and thanks for everyone's input
I will be spending a long weekend in Reykjavik this December
I have made an appointment at a tattoo parlor (the name isn't significant). I have told them what I want but I have not seen examples, yet. I want to be sure they are correct
I would like 2 separate bind runes using Younger Futhark representing the initials of my son and daughter..

I realize there isn't a 1:1 translation to the Roman alphabet, but could someone draw the 2 bind runes from above?
No surprise I have asked AI to provide examples but I have no idea if they're right or not
Thanks in advance
Got tattooed resently and a accident occurred.
The sentence i was ment to have tattooed was ᛋᚴᛁᛚᛏᛅ ᚢᛅᚱᛁᚱ ᛏᛁᛚ ᛏᛅᚢᚦᛅ (Duty lasts till death), a little Warhammer nod there yes.
But a rune was forgotten in ᛏᛅᚢᚦᛅ (death) and it ended up with ᛏᛅᚦᛅ (harvest from a fertilized field) in stead. Kind of funny in a sad and a little annoying way.
Does anyone know if it is possible to make any other word with the same meaning, by adding another rune or two at the end there?
Or am I destined to have the sentence "Duty last till harvests gathered from the fertilized fields" tattooed on my arm? :P
And thanks in advance, but I am not asking for help regarding the dialogue with the tattoo artist, because I am sure they will show good service in any way they can.
Is it a rune? If so, what exactly does it mean?
Found this old jar in my aunt's hoard but it doesn't have any makers mark (compared to a lot of her other glassware which are usually marked FireKing etc, I've gotten pretty good at finding maker etchings but this one seems blank)
Google is no help of course. Thanks for any assistance!
Please help us translate this. My friends and I found this message in a bottle tucked away in the farthest corner of a cave (600m deep) in the Harz region. We think the second note says "Orobas." Could that be right? We need help with the first note, though. We suspect the message is a witch's curse, as there is a lot of hair inside the bottle—something common in this region that would also fit with the name "Orobas."
So i'm a fan of the anime Vinland Saga, naturally i want to get something tattooed and i decided to want the phrase: "I have no enemies", but i want it writen in the Rune alphabet.
I've put the phrase in an Rune Translater on Google an this is what i got:
ᛁ ᚺᚨᚢᛖ ᚾᛟ ᛖᚾᛖᛗᛁᛖᛊ (apperantly its in Elder Futhark)
I dont know anything about Runes so if someone can help me out with this i would be really greatfull.
Hi everyone! My husband is very into vikings, norse mythology, etc. and I wanted to get him a custom engraved ring with our phrase on it - “my light, my love, my forever”
This saying is engraved into my wedding ring, and I would love to get him something similar using runes.
I understand there may not be runes that directly translate, but I’d love to see ideas of what I could do, even if it’s symbolism or interpretation, all options welcome 😊
Hi everyone,
I’m planning a tattoo to commemorate the birth date of my firstborn daughter: July 31, 2026 (31.7.2026). I want to write it in Elder Futhark using reconstructed Proto-Germanic words for the numbers.
Since this is going to be permanent on my skin, I would really appreciate it if someone could double-check my language reconstruction and runic transliteration before I finalize the design with the artist.
Here is what I have so far:
ᚦᚱᛁᛃᛁᛉ : ᛏᛁᚷᛁᚹᛁᛉ : ᛖᛁᚾᛉ
ᛋᛖᛒᚢᚾ
ᛏᚹᚨᛁ : ᚦᚢᛋᚢᚾᛞᛁᛃᛟᛉ : ᛏᚹᚨᛁᚾᛏᛁᚷᛁᚹᛁᛉ : ᛋᛖᚻᛋ
My questions:
Are the Proto-Germanic reconstructions for the cardinal numbers grammatically accurate for this context?
Is the Elder Futhark transliteration correct, including the use of ᛞ (dagaz) in þūsundijōz and ᛉ (algiz) for terminal -z?
Are there any stylistic or historical nuances I should consider for a tattoo layout?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Matt
Are these runes just for symbolic/ esoteric/ mystical purposes and not meant to be pronounced as a phrase?
i dont know what it is/ represents
I want to get a tattoo that says something like "I've found myself a flock of black sheep" (in spanish, but the server won't let me post if it's not in english). I found this alphabet equivalence, but I'm not sure if it would be okay. I don't really care about being completely historically accurate, since it won't really be by being in spanish. I just want it to kinda make sense. Can someone help me to figure it out? 😅
my uncle passed away about a month ago, and me and my mum are going through his artworks to spray them with sealant so people can take them. he had a few pieces related to struggles with alcohol, and I found this one. I was hoping the runes would be easy for me to just look up some sort of meaning for, but I'm not confident enough to figure out exactly what it means cause there's so many like "meaning" posts and idk what is actually real and what is someone's like interpretation or what's just made up. sorry for the long post but I just want to know what this might say or mean if anything, he did things with a lot of intention usually so I don't think they would be just random.
Does anyone know the meaning of these runes?
