Sijs (green card)

For those who got their green card through SIJS, after your priority date became current, how long did it take for you to receive the physical green card?

15 year back log to adjust status

Hey I’ve read that on Sept 2023 there’s been like 155,000 eb petitions. I was seeing here and in the end SIJS back log coalition that it will be decades. My PD is Oct 2023. I was looking at the current dates and it’s advancing pretty fast. I don’t even need the final action dates tbh. I just want the dates for filling to be current given the recent changes to DA. So why is the current bulletins advancing? Is this whole 15 year things a context I’m missing? Did something change ?

I’m feeling hopeful but last time I felt hopeful it retrogressed and I was just giving up because it’s so volatile. But recent changes is making me think that renewing my DA is going to be hell and I don’t want to go through that.

Domestic flights, recent ICE changes

Has anyone traveled on a domestic flight recently, given that ICE started detaining people with legal processes?
I am planing to travel in September to LA from NYC so I’m debating should I book a flight? How safe is it?

For reference I have a work permit and deferred action.

Sijs

Couple months ago i filed for my i360 petition, my attorney did it on my behalf they used their own credit card to pay 250$ fee for the petition at uscis, but uscis rejected the petition and i got aged out, i checked the credit card information everything was proper and confirmed with the bank also they did not see any authorization attempt from uscis, and we tried getting supervisory review at lockbox but only getting automated responses, i think i just lost the opportunity now for sijs?

How is everyone feeling? What do those with priority dates between February 2023 and June 2023 think? Do you believe we’ll finally manage to adjust our status this year?

march 2026 priority date

Hi, just wondering if anyone with a march 2026 priority date or earlier has gotten their 1-360 approved yet. I know it’s not 6 months in yet but just wondering what the average waiting time is and if y’all think i’ll get a response by september of October if this year. Especially if yall think DA will be automatically considered or approved or we would just have to wait and see. Thank you!

Deferred Action

So I applied for deferred action when I got my I-360 approval notice it said that we approved your I-360 but we reviewed your case for deferred action and we decided not to grant it ( I think it was the automatic one that’s what they declined ) so then I talked to my lawyer that they said on the website that people who filed their I-360 on or after 10 MAY,2026 are not going to get automatic deferred action. She said yes it was like that but they’re declining all of them then I talked to her that I already have EAD from asylum case and I only want the deferred action mainly for protection from deportation even if I don’t get EAD I just want the protection and then she said we can request for just the deferred action for protection from deportation and not the EAD and it might work out and if it does then we can apply for EAD later . So, some of you might think it’s a stupid thing not to apply for EAD but in my case I actually wanted the protection only because I want to go to college and my guardian pays for my expenses and everything. They wanted to put me in college but at the same time they were worried about me getting detained or deported that’s why we applied for deferred action for only the deportation protection and my lawyer said that she thinks it might work out as we are only asking for protection and there’s a big reason behind it . So is there anyone who has been in same situation and approved ? Or anything ? Anyone whose priority date is around December 2025 or after not anyone from priority date before December 2025 ?

Domestic air travel w EAD

Has anyone flown domestically using their EAD for TSA? I applied for a real ID a month ago and they’re making me do extra verification and I don’t think I’ll be getting it on time for my flight. I have SIJS w deferred action and a valid EAD (obviously) and an ssn. I’m not too worried but has anyone had any issues?
