It doesn't do anything. Terrible kits, gets bodied by virtually every single weapon in the game, and doesn't fulfill any role a better weapon can't do. I have hundreds of matches with this thing and I have yet to figure out specifically what it's supposed to do except paint and lose, and If I needed to paint there are far better options gbag are far more useful to team.

People gaslight you into saying it's one of the best weapons in the game in every tier list yet never explain how or why and yet there's virtually no gameplay or what little gameplay there is consists of top 10 premades vs random b rankers in landslide matches where the Mini doesn't contribute anything that a Splattershot wouldn't excel at. Nobody is using this thing in any game mode, I have maybe played against 1 Mini Splatling for every 100 Splattershot.

how the FUCK is it my fault that nintendo chooses to use shitty player to player connection instead of having actual fucking servers??? i'll be doing well in series and have an ACTUALLY GOOD FUCKING TEAM and that's when the game decides to fucking disconnect me and assign me a fucking loss in my series as if that shit was intentional. AND ON TOP OF THAT the fucking TEN MINUTE ban is bullshit too and makes zero fucking sense? i've been playing for two hours now and have had no disconnects yet am banned for ten fucking minutes??

This honestly might be a hot take but this game needs to be region locked no switching X rank regions or anything. Just wtv you switch is registered as or something. Not just because of the skill gap for JP players but mainly because of the latency. It gets unplayable a lot of time for me and is really taking all the enjoyment out of the game including with the rise of blaster a lot of my encounters with them is always a trade because of the latency.

Not sure if splatoon 2 had it but playing JP players never felt this terrible in 2 from what i remember.

Because they rely SO MUCH on your asswipe trashmates to play the game with their actually comp viable weapons so you're not having to spend half the fucking game behind them throwing bombs.

Literally only viable in coordinated play. It's fucking bullshit and you can only wintrade with them. I'm so over this manipulative shit.

I didn’t know anything about the buffs but I’m starting to see why people are saying Blaster is super oppressive. Granted I’m trying to fight cBlaster as vDynamo but I just CANNOT get close enough without being in considerable danger, that speed, damage, radius— EVERYTHING is too much.

AND BECAUSE IT’S THE DAMN CUSTOM BLASTER THEY CAN JUST TRIPLE SPLASH. WOW I NEVER KNEW I HAD THIS KIND OF HATRED FOR IT. TRIPLE SPLASH EITHER TURNS FIGHTS INTO WINS OR TRADES. I get I’m going up against it as DYNAMO for god’s sake but how the hell do I deal with this when I’m the slowest weapon in the game barring hydra???

Seriously. What's the point of having THREE BACKLINES on a team?

ive been trying to 10 star one of my favorite weapons just for the badge but god its been such a miserable experience. i keep finding myself having to try and push forward With A Backline Weapon with barely any support from my team because theyre all either too afraid of engaging in fights or they just keep rushing straight towards the enemy team and Dying. I know i should be supporting my team but How Am I Supposed To Support A Team That's Dead 90% Of The Time. ? good lord. almost makes me want to never use this stupid weapon ever again because I need to play more aggressively if I actually want a chance of winning any matches lmao, especially when competent teammates seem extremely rare nowadays 🙄

I was so excited for this salmon run rotation because ohh cool! Hydra splatling! That’s my main! I love that weapon!

AND I TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE NOBODY FUCKING KNOWS HOW TO USE IT. I am so tired of watching whichever random gets hydra JUMP HEADFIRST INTO A POOL OF ENEMIES AND START WADDLING AROUND LIKE AN IDIOT TRYING TO CHARGE THEIR FAT ASS IMMOBILE INK GUZZLING WEAPON. The hydra splatling has a long range for a REASON, GET ON TOP OF THAT ELEVATED PART OF THE MAP AND FUCKING USE IT! Believe it or not it’s actually a pretty useful weapon when you can actually use it as intended instead of getting cornered and mauled like a dumbass because you thought that getting right up next to the enemy with a weapon that takes forever to charge and basically cripples you was a good idea!! And look I get doing this when things get really frantic and crowded like when it’s high tide and there’s shit coming at you everywhere and you’re kind of panicking or when you need to get eggs in the basket, I’ve done it too! But you know you could at least TRY not to instead of acting like a lobotomite

There was this one grillers wave where I was up high so I could shoot at the grillers as they chase my teammates, and it was going pretty well at first! Until ALL THREE OF THEM started running around the platform I was on, and when every single griller inevitably started to come up there they didn’t run away or anything no, THEY JUST STAYED THERE SO WE COULD ALL GET RUN OVER! If they’d just gotten out of my way I could have helped them take out the grillers and smallfries but noooooo

Also this game LOVES to finally give me hydra in the most easy and irrelevant waves instead of where it actually matters. Giant tornado gushers cohock charge but NEVER the king salmonid glowflies mothership etc etc, and oh my fucking god do not even get me started on mothership and king salmonid waves. Anyways if you get hydra in salmon run THEN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD:

1. COVER FOR YOUR TEAMMATES!!! Adding onto the point above, YOU have a great range and great firepower from a hopefully safe distance, so if you see someone getting swarmed or cornered HELP THEM AND SHOOT AT THE STUFF ATTACKING THEM, if you see a dead teammate shouting help REVIVE THEM

And 3, for cohozuna: JUST OPEN FIRE ON IT, the massive damage that comes in a full charge is much better used on the boss itself instead of aimlessly flying around trying to splat 50 million different things that are constantly moving. Preferably you have your teammates to help cover you while you do this but obviously that’s a very high ask considering that salmon run randoms tend to have a combined iq of -50

But use your god damn bombs to throw on the tower! Like you have a weapon that has a kit with an explosive in it why are you getting on the tower to try and shoot the enemy when they trigger their inkstrike while on it you're BEGGING to be killed! You've tried doing the same route at least thrice and failed each time why are you being so stubborn and keep doing it?

Same goes for when you don't climb it but shoot and hope your shots land like throw a bomb and combine it with shooting them at the same time that they have to avoid the explosive?? What on earth are we doing?
