Original Jam band anyone?

Yo Seattle! Just moved here. I'm a 35 year old guitarist/singer looking for some people to jam/potentially start band with. I'm mostly interested in writing originals and doing a lot of improvising, also some covers here and there that fit the vibe.

Some of my biggest influences are Phish, Grateful Dead, King Gizzard, Louis Cole/Knower, The Jauntee, The Meters, Herbie Hancock, Vulfpeck, Boredoms, Ween, and many more. Recently been liking Dogs in a Pile as well in terms of jams.

I'd love to find people who are into funky grooves, pocket, proggy multi-movement song structures, genre hopping, type ii jamming and the kind of songs where everyone gets to contribute instead of just playing over each other or trading solos. I really like bands where all the parts fit together and everyone is listening and reacting. Love experimenting with effects as well.

Looking for drums, bass, keys, and maybe another guitarist if you can play both lead/rhythm and like the idea of interlocking parts and harmonizing from time to time.

I'm hoping to find experienced musicians who are comfortable improvising. Not looking for virtuosos necessarily (but a plus) just people with good time, good pocket, and good ears. Serious musicians who don't take themselves too seriously.

I'd like this to be pretty democratic where everyone can bring ideas to the table. Goal is to write music that's fun to play and fun to listen to, and can take off in unexpected directions.

If that sounds like your thing, hit me up. Let's jam!

Looking for Serious Band Members (Seattle Area) – Alternative Pop / Pop Rock / R&B / Indie

Hey! I’m a 25-year-old songwriter / lyricist based in Seattle & California currently building a serious band project from the ground up.

A bit about me: I currently work as a songwriter and lyricist with Sub Pop Records and also hold a songwriting contract with Virgin Music Group (not as an artist). Most of my work has been behind the scenes in songwriting, lyric writing, music production, and creative development.

Now, I’m looking to build a band with the right people, musicians who are passionate, committed, and serious about creating something meaningful together and musicians who have great ear on what sound amazing and what's not. And someone who know just what to put in and do not overplay.

I’d especially love to work with fresh faces and people around my age group (19–27) since I’m 25 myself. I think being in a similar stage of life helps a lot creatively, personally, and with long-term chemistry as a band.

I’ve been actively hunting for talent around Seattle, but I’ll be honest, it’s pretty rare finding people here who genuinely lean toward the pop side of music, especially with modern alternative influences. A lot of the local scene is heavier rock, punk, metal, grunge, or folk, so I’m hoping this reaches the right people.

I do already have a whole catalog/albums prepared, and would love to get your input too.

We will be writing original music. I do have my own recording / production studio. Rehearsal space for live performances. And have already tons of concepts prepared for it's sound, identity, brand and direction.

Genres / Sound:
- Alternative Pop
- Pop Rock
- R&B
- Indie Pop
- Alternative / Indie R&B
- Bedroom Pop

I am looking for someone who has has the same qualities on having emotional songwriting, strong melodies, atmospheric production, catchy hooks, and modern polished sounds.

Influences / Artists:

The 1975, The Band CAMINO, LANY, Lauv, Khalid, Paramore, One Ok Rock, IV of Spades, Kehlani, Joji, Malcolm Todd, Keshi, Daniel Caesar, etc. all artist that are on that realm and spectrum of genre.

Currently looking for:
- Lead Guitarist
- Bassist
- Drummer
- Keyboardist / Synth Player
- Vocalists (male or female)

What I value most:
- No ego / good attitude.
- Hell nah with drama.
- Reliable and communicative.
- Serious commitment.
- Creative openness.
- Desire to grow together and be close friends.

I don’t work well with people who are a conflict/drama magnet. I value playing more than talking.

You don’t need to be world-class, a virtuoso, or classically trained. I’m here to develop, guide, and grow with you too. Just have solid fundamentals, passion, discipline, songwriting discernment, and hunger to improve.

If this sounds like your vibe, then hit me up!
- Name / age
- Instrument
- Experience
- Musical influences
- Clips / demos (if available)

If you’re someone who wants to build something real, modern, and meaningful, not just jam casually, I’d love to connect. I'll pour all what I've got to you.
