Are there any motion design studios left in seattle?

Seattle was home to Digital Kitchen, SuperFad, OGs from back in the day. What happened to everybody?? Are all shops all remote? Does every brand and agency just do it all in house now?

sequence in source wont edit into timeline...

I have a sequnce of selects in my source. I'm trying to cut it into my timeline but i get this error message. I've tried clearing in/out marks, i've toggled the insert as nest switch - which then i get the nested edit which i don't want. how do i edit a sequence into a different seqeunce. ???

Time Ramp Tools Are Horrible

I'm screwing around with time ramping clips and it reminds me how much I hate Premiere. Not intuitive. Not built for a real editor. Built for clicking around with your mouse like a mac dork instead of banging on keyboard like an editor. Thank you for your attention to these matters. 🤪

Premiere less superior to Avid MC

Avid MC was built by editors for editors and you can tell. Premiere was built by software dudes and you can tell. Premiere far excelled at being format agnstic so it became the industry standard but man I still miss Avid. So much easier to get into creative flow state with Avid. _Your Grumpy Old Man Friend_

when did Grok dial up moderating?

it was GREAT while it lasted but sadly Grok isn't as fun or as good as it was just a month ago. maybe the space-x ipo deal spooked them into moderating more. they have more to loose now. damn - what a disappointment.

Besides novel experience, what's the point?

I've now had a couple DMT experiences. Mostly traveling through trippy cartoon land. Unlike other psychedelics, it doesn't seem like there will be any epiphanies, there's no universal love vibe, no new understanding, just weirdness. What am I missing? Thanks
