Goblin Storm Shipping/Fulfillment Updates
For those who secured a globin storm deck, have you seen any updates on its shipping yet? My confirmation email says it will ship May 20 but maybe take weeks to fulfill.
Mostly just sitting here excited about it and want to know if others see updates coming though.
Edit: Thanks for the Reddit Cares 😍 The update ratio on this post is in the toilet. Lots of people who struggle regulating their emotions I guess. Sincerely bummed for those who didn't get the item, but don't be an asshole.

Yes we are angry at Hasbro, but they did get one thing right
Hi All, I know I’m going to get lots of hate on this and/or be called an agent for Hasbro (which I am not).
Yes, they absolutely did not anticipate the demand well and they should have definitely given Wizard of Barge at least 10 more sets for free. Not to reduce the amount of frustration at the company, but I do really appreciate that they did limit the amount of purchases to 1. I think they should keep that limit on all purchases for the first 24 hours, then open it up afterwards.
Of course it didn’t do enough to prevent the scalpers, but I want to believe it extended the length of sales to the 34 min mark. Anyone who purchased within 5-10 mins of them selling out probably wouldn’t have been able to get a product. For full transparency, I was able to buy right at the 30 min mark, so I am very grateful for the rule change.
I’ve tried purchasing secret lair a number of times and I think I’m about 50/50 in terms of success so far. My personal rule is that if I don’t get it directly from WoTC then I get super upset and block myself from social media for 2-3 days so that I don’t get tempted from FOMO. I absolutely refuse to support scalpers so I’d rather not have something I love because I hate scalpers even more.
I was lucky this time… and will definitely have my share of disappointment. But I understand this is part of the appeal and I’ll live with it.
Again, sucks that they didn’t have enough, but I’m glad they limited the purchases to 1 and want to encourage that for future drops.
Serious question: How many goblin decks were scalped? Is there a percentage that we know of or a quantity?
I’m quite curious as to the volume decks available overall and the amount we presume are scalped? I’ve seen a couple dozen posts with the same screen shots of TCG’s 8-10 scalpers. I hear the community is underserved in general, but is scalpers the true issue or product scarcity?
I know of I waited in a long line for something and the window closed as soon as it got to my turn I’d be miffed, but if I was #501 in line and only 500 were available, that’s just math. There isn’t one more to give.
It would be helpful to add data to this issue, how many wanted the deck, how many were made, and how many were grabbed by scalpers. All I see is scarcity driving reactions to a dozen or so scalping posts (I’m sure there’s a lot more!) when the real problem may have been an overwhelming demand that was never going to be fulfilled from the get go.
Our Hero folded ,but the message stands !
Your Goblins, Sir (Goblin Storm)
Do these self-proclaimed goblins really think their $150 is worth $1200? Surely they're getting some special edition of the shiny cardboard the rest of us dont know about.
Let’s pile on the Goblin Storm rage with this dumb customer service interaction
TL;DR I had an old address in my Apple Pay, didn’t notice it during the checkout flow, asked for an address change on my order, they said they can’t because the shipping process has begun??
I get it- shoulda checked twice. But:
- The time pressure put on even getting to checkout made me panic
- This is such a simple and common user input error that they should have the ability to address. Why even have customer service reps if they can’t solve a basic issue?
- “The shipping process” literally just means they sent my info to their distribution company. Send different information.
- Nearly every web retailer has the ability to change a shipping address prior to the goods being in the air. You wanna sell direct to customers at this demand and scale? Then get your shit together.
- If there really is no turning back (fix this) then let customers know that’s the case.
Here’s to hoping my fancy deck doesn’t get shipped to my old apartment that’s literally being demolished as I write.
A question about selling a Goblin Storm Deck
I was lucky enough to buy two of these decks, one for myself and one for my best friend. After seeing all of the craziness going on my friends suggested selling his copy since we could turn the profit into multiple decks for us to play with. To be crystal clear neither of us are collectors or play the money game that is MTG these days. We play the game and cards are meant to be played with; we both just loved this art.
My question is here what's a more ethical price point for something like this than seven times the listed price? The idea that people are selling these things for over $700 is madness to me (it won't happen but I yearn for print order drops). What's a rational price point to not absolutely screw over the community but at the same time genuinely get money for the two of us to make more decks with?
My “It That Betrays” Eldrazi card for upcoming Secret Lair x Garfield drop.
Actually funny ,not even he could get a Goblin Storm through the queue
This is very funny and sad at the same time lmao
Can we add this to stop boys?
Just a simple human verification process would make the SL experience much better if they made it a tad bit harder for people to let bots loose on our hobby.

Mom Rant
I literally joined Reddit today because of this launch.
I joined the queue for Goblin Storm right at launch, stayed in line properly without refreshing, and still watched the deck sell out before I could check out.
Meanwhile there were already hundreds of eBay listings at $500–700 almost immediately.
I’m not a reseller — this was supposed to be my son’s 21st birthday present. My family is deeply into MTG/Commander/40k.
That’s why this feels so discouraging. It feels like actual players never really had a chance.
An even bigger joke than the SL Queue.
Anyone buying this for anything above $175 is crazy to me. Can’t wait to see what the scalpers list it as.

Fuck SLD
Just waited through the queue and it sold out with 3 minutes left in queue, still let me put in my payment info and then shunted me out of my cart and back to the main page. Fuck these guys, they have no idea what they're doing.
What's even the point?
I feel like any secret lair has to be only cool enough for the average person to even have a chance of getting it. If it's to cool or popular online scalpers will jump at it.
I waited an hour in the pre-que, to be told I'd have to wait an hour to get in, to see it sell out in 30 minutes and sell for 4x price online.
Fuck this.
