Anyone have the knowledge and energy to see this one through to the finish line?

My order got canceled a couple of weeks ago. I tried my luck yesterday and walked into another watch store in town that thankfully had one left.

It’s even more amazing in person!

This bumps up my Alpinist collection to two now.

I working with a leather craftsman. This is what I have in mind what you guys think?

Purchased the Alpinist (SPB503) this week. I didn’t want an overly large watch that would impede with me being on the bike on prolonged rides. With the gloves on and my leather jacket, I can ride without noticing the watch. It’s a perfect size for me, they removed two links for my slim 17cm wrist and did one micro adjustment. On the 3rd day of wearing it I ran a 24hr timing accuracy check and it checked in at -3 seconds, pretty good for what is considered a weak point in this Seiko line. I’ll continue to check for accuracy over the next couple of weeks as the lubricants set in and the watch settles into a rhythm. I’m very satisfied with my first Seiko.

I was lucky enough to grab one of these and I wanted to say it looks even better in person. Depending on the lighting, it shifts from a subtle lavender to a deep royal purple. May not be a strap monster but i feel it’s still versatile enough for many occasions!

I just recently purchased my first Seiko as a reward from a long unexpected journey, as a memento. On December 15th, 2025, I was informed that my retina was detaching from my left eye and underwent emergency surgery. After dealing with absurd insurance issues, deductibles, sleepless nights, numerous doctor appointments, and 3 unwanted surgeries, I've finally come to the end. And although it was nothing short of an egregious journey, this watch is a reminder of what I'm mentally & physically capable of handling.

I recently came across this canvas/faux leather strap at a Yodobashi Camera here in Tokyo. I think it looks fairly decent. Kind of an explorer type vibe. Why do y’all think?
