The telehealth GLP-1 space has a transparency problem, which providers are actually doing it differently?

Most telehealth companies in this space operate like ecommerce storefronts. Same underlying pharmacies, same logistics, different branding and pricing. The markup is real and patients are usually paying for marketing not care.

Ozempic and Metformin

Hi everyone, I was just diagnosed with type two yesterday and I went to an endocrinologist today and they prescribed me Ozempic and metformin together. Just wanna know if anyone's had this combination or what can I expect? Also, was it helpful for you key point I am living in Vietnam so my access to both of these drugs is much cheaper than living in the US.

Help with dosing, please.

I purchased a year’s worth of semaglutide from IVIM well over a year ago. I have several extra vials. My husband is starting the med and did his first shot at 5 units last night. I can’t remember if I started on a lower mg or if that’s even a thing?! Is 5 units appropriate for a starting dose? He’s felt pretty terrible all day.

Precision telemed

I’m trying to see if I’m the only one with this problem. I signed up with this company after switching from Henry Meds that was a little more expensive. I have found that I’m under dosed and my medication took over 2 weeks to ship from my consultation. I felt compelled to order right after receiving my first dose and here I am 11 days without a shipment date.

When I inquired about the delay almost daily, I was advised that I could get a compound of semaglutide and glycine. I believe my first dose had b12. Not sure if that’s watering down the actual dose but my current dose since switching companies has had little to no effect. Now I have to get something completely different just to make sure I get my medication on time.

Does anyone have recommendations and costs to switch to another company at 1.2 mg per week?

This company keeps referencing some legislation but I’ve never had this problem with Henry meds. I just wanted to save and Henry was going to charge more if I increased my dose.

Injection site reaction

So I get my meds through Eden. They alternate compounding with b12 and niacinamide. I noticed the last time my meds were compounded with b12 it caused a mild injection site reaction. This did not happen with niacinamide. This last round they sent it with b12 again. The site reactions are worse. I am taking Allegra and using topical hydrocortisone cream. I reached out to them and they told me this was normal and to continue taking antihistamines. The itching is driving me insane. They are telling me it’s not the b12, and maybe it’s not but I did not have this reaction to the other formulation. I wanted my next rounds of medication to be compounded with niacinamide if possible, they have not responded to this request. Does this look normal to you guys? Is there another company I could get meds through that does not compound with b12 for a similar price or cheaper? I’m currently paying 249$ per month.

Is compounded semaglutide actually worth it if you're uninsured? Honest experiences please

Insurance won't touch this for me and the brand name prices are just not realistic. I've been looking into compounded sema as an option but i'm genuinely not sure if the savings are real or if there are hidden costs that make it closer to brand name than it looks.

What do people actually pay all in, including consultations, refills, any extras? And has anyone had a bad experience where the cheap option ended up being more expensive or more stressful than it was worth?

Just want honest math and real experiences before i commit to anything.

Dosing uncertainty going from .25 to .5 on compounded semaglutide and my provider's protocol seems different from everyone elses

On compound sema for 6 weeks. Did 4 weeks at .25, my provider says move to .5 for another 4 weeks. Fine. But I was reading other threads here and people are doing 2 weeks per step, 3 weeks, some are hitting 1mg by week 8.

Why is everyone's titration so different. Is it the additive in the formula, the doctor preference, or just random. My cat keeps stealing my Q-tips for some reason which is unrelated.

GLP-1 users, I'd love to hear about your experience!

Hi everyone 👋

I'm a postgraduate student at Imperial College in London and I'm evaluating the support that GLP-1 users receive alongside their prescription, specifically around muscle loss, nutrition, and exercise. I've put together a short anonymous survey (under 5 minutes) and would really appreciate your help:

This is purely an academic evaluation for my studies. All responses are completely anonymous. If you'd also be happy to share your experience in a short 15-minute chat, feel free to drop me a message.

Thank you so much in advance!

Anyone tried these natural GLP1 drops that claim to be ozempic alternative? the ingredients OMG?

I keep seeing ads for over the counter GL͏P-1 drops everywhere. Most have ingredients like moringa apple cider vinegar turmeric and something called meglutid͏e that I cannot find any real information on. The marketi͏ng says they work like prescr͏iption GLP-1 meds but co͏st way less and do not need a prescription. I am skeptical but curious. Real GLP-1 medications went through years of clinical trials and cost billions to develop so the idea that herb drops can do the same thing feels off. But I also see people in weigh͏t loss groups talking about them like they are a legit alternative. wondering if anyone used these long enough to notice real appetite suppression or weight loss and not first week excitement or placebo. Also does anyone know what meglutide is because I cannot find it in any pharmaceutical database.

Trying to figure out which compound semaglutide platforms are worth the money

I want to get in shape for my daughter's wedding next spring and I want to start soon but I struggle to lose weight so I've considered compounded sema and some platforms offer it. Did 2 weekends of research, and narrowed to a few.

Let me think out loud because this is making me crazy. Eden is $150 starter 1 month sema. Join Pomegranate has a visible pharmacy menu. Greenwich Glycine starter 3 month around $345. Fair pricing. Clean checkout. Joinezra has a visible pharmacy menu also. Greenwich Glycine starter 3 month $350. Asked about my history during intake which felt thorough. Is there anything besides price I should compare? Thanks!

Was looking to buy tirzepatide online and noticed a lot of companies have their own dosing calculators

New to peptides, basically in the researc͏h phase and noticed a lot of companies have their own dos͏ing calcu͏lators. Do y’all use them and how accurate are they? I’m also looking for other to͏ols people use to research compare or sou͏rce peptides and figure out doses. I’ve been using Pep͏tide Pic͏ker to compare different peptides. Open to anything else that helps make the research process easier. Main reason I’m asking is because I started wondering how personalized these calculators are. Do they take your health history and contraindications into account or are most of them giving the same standard titration schedule to push people toward chec͏kout. Would like to know what resources people here trust.

Three quotes in and still confused about what "patient-specific 503A" actually means

been on compounded sema since late 2023, was paying like 200/mo through one of the bigger telehealth platforms. when the 503A enforcement thing ended last spring my provider basically moved everyone to brand or "personalized" formulations. microdose, oral, b12 additive, whatever keeps the script alive

i waited it out a while then started shopping. brand isnt realistic for me rn even with NovoCare, 349 is a hard no when i was paying 200

so

few weeks of quote shopping and its a mess. some places that were all over this sub a year ago just stopped doing sema. others moved everyone to oral or microdose tirz which im fine with on paper but pricing is all over the place and the dose math gets weird

three i actually got quotes from

Henry Meds. straightforward, no suprises but the intake felt like a checkbox, didnt really engage with the dose i was already on, just put me through standard onboarding like a new patient which was annoying when i told them upfront i wasnt new

Eden quote was actually fine on price but their pricing structure is confusing as hell. you basically commit for 6 months to get the price they advertise, monthly without the commit was almost double. felt like a bait and switch even if technically its all spelled out in the FAQ. read the FAQ ppl

Chia. found them looking for non injectable stuff. they have compounded sema and microdose tirz drops, asked about my titration history in the intake which was a small thing but it mattered. downside the tier id actually want pushes you to a 3 month commit and same situation as Eden basically just shorter. 5 weeks in, jurys still out

real question for the sub.

anyone here actually STILL on injectable sema through a 503A after the cutoff? like my understanding is it has to be patient specific now, different concentration or b12 or whatever, but cant tell if thats real personalization with clinical reasoning or just paperwork to keep the lights on

also if anyone made the jump to brand and it was less painful than expected id wanna hear that. not married to compounded if the math changes

mods pls remove if this has been beaten to death im sure it has but the search wasnt great
