CloudBoost 4.1 update: VPN-aware diagnostics for Mac gaming sessions
Hey folks, quick update on CloudBoost.
I’ve been trying to make the app less “booster” and more useful as a Mac gaming session diagnostic tool.
Version 4.1 adds a VPN Route Doctor. The goal is simple: if a session feels bad, CloudBoost now tries to explain whether the issue looks like Wi-Fi/AWDL noise, jitter, packet loss, route latency, background macOS activity, or a VPN/tunnel getting in the way.
New in 4.1:
- VPN/tunnel detection
- clearer Session Doctor messages for UDP blocks, route latency, jitter and packet loss
- Session Proof reports now include VPN status and split-tunneling guidance
- updated screenshots based on the real app UI
- Homebrew cask updated
- existing PRO users keep the expanded feature set
Free still includes the main cloud, remote play, native Mac and competitive profiles. PRO is more for automation, deeper diagnostics, Session Lab, widgets, Kernel Watch, VPN Route Doctor and support reports.
I know Mac gaming tools get a lot of skepticism, so I’m trying to keep this honest: CloudBoost does not inject into games, bypass anti-cheat, edit CrossOver bottles, or promise magic FPS gains. It focuses on the macOS side of the session.
Would genuinely like feedback from people using GeForce NOW, Moonlight, PS Remote Play, Dota, League, CrossOver or Whisky on Mac.
