2008 Toyota Sienna CE repairs, steering rack/ suspension problems

Family member has a 2008 Toyota Sienna CE with over 220k miles - Original owner - Arizona. I've been trying to find a good shop where I can get an accurate estimate of what it needs, but I've only used free inspections so far. I want to find a trusted shop that I feel comfortable paying a diagnosis fee/ doing the work. Based on those free inspections, the Sienna has fluid leaks, needs new suspension parts, and engine/transmission mounts. One shop said the most important thing was a new rack and pinion, power steering pump, and power steering flush. As far as I know, it still has the original spark plugs, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid.

I'm trying to figure out whether to fix it or buy something smaller and more efficient. I'm leaning towards fixing it because it still performs well and the suspension parts would need to be replaced eventually on any vehicle. My issue is that much of the maintenance/ fluid changes have been neglected and could be an issue later on after fixing the suspension.

2012 Toyota Sienna

I’m looking at a 2012 Toyota Sienna on Marketplace with 120k miles on it. It’s been in the same family since new and has had all maintenance done perfectly on time with no issues. The guy won’t budge under $16,000. The van is 14 years old at this point, but I know Toyotas hold their value really well. We’ve been looking at one for our family because of their well known reliability. I’ve never owned one and was wondering if it’s worth that kind of money.

2005 7 or 8 seater??

New to me 2005 XLE Limited. Came without second row. Wondering if this is a 7 or 8 seater model as I think I need different seats based on that answer. Thanks for the help.

2015 Sienna SE, 1 owner, 218kmi, $8k?

EDIT: Van has 218,000 miles -- sorry for the confusing mix of abbreviations on the title!

Hello! Looking for a reliable 2nd vehicle. Will drive max 5k mi/ year total, but would like to be able to use it on a vacation trip if needed.

Looks like one of those little lots that buys at auction and flips. Very clean pictures, Carfax shows 1 owner + no wrecks + clean title. Looks like it was traded in to a dealer, then sold at auction to this lot.

In my market this looks like a great price ($8,000). Would you be comfortable with that mileage + year combo? Any specific maintenance things to check? Going to pay $200 for a mobile PPI (private, not lemon squad).

Trying to finally become a Sienna owner after other impediments in the past and appreciate any input! (Hopefully replacing our main driver with a lower mileage one next).

Edit: Cross-posted; not an experienced poster :)
