A podcast I listen to just started covering Sister Wives out of the blue (which was a nice surprise) and when discussing the first episode of the season, one of the hosts put forward the theory that as Kody and Robin are still being discussed a lot and footage of them is still being shown, they're possibly still getting paid by the show. They also wondered if this is the case, perhaps the producers are aiming to get the Kody and Robin stuff out of the way early to move onto other stuff with just the OG 3 and make it so future episode don't require fees for K&R. I don't know how payments for shows like this work, but what do you think? Does this sound like it could be possible?

Jumped the shark

One thing I noticed when Meri and Janelle met up to talk, is that whenever Janelle would say she wasn't involved, or that she had no way of knowing they weren't very sparse teeny tiny throw away jokes here and there ---- well she always looked away. And when she would remake eye contact she would say: "it's done now. Aren't you glad it's over?" which I interpreted as trying to change the topic. If Meri tried to ask questions, like "what kind of comments, what kind of jokes" she would also avert her eyes and sort of go "listen it's done now let's focus on moving on".

I'm no body language expert but I actually rewound that scene cuz I was like why is she being so vague and just not looking at Meri? Like surely Meri deserves more than just "wasn't me". I also wanted an explanation for what exactly happened and it was just a lot of "I don't know it was Kody well I really don't know well hey it's done now hi hi hi".

I get she was nervous but did anyone else read the body language as... interesting. Meri was warmer than I would be in her situation, it sounded like she really just wanted an explanation and I don't think she was particularly pushy about it. Which is probably why we got nothing, yet again.

Oh yeah and then Janelle's next segment is like a mansion she built to live in alone lol. I see you TLC, I see you.

I’m not sure what he expected the subject matter to focus on marrying a recently divorced polygamist withlike 20 kids and agreeing to filming a show Sister Wives, however, I believe this man has had it. His 15 min are up, and it’s a wrap, he wants out.

“At first, I was ok, but then it got old and it’s repeated. It’s conversations we have that’s talking about exes, not just Kody, but all the exes. Yeah, it just gets old, because I wanna know about you and I. I get tired of it. It’s like can we talk about sports? Can we talk about something else? I’m not married to Meri, or Janelle, and its ok, but it’s not ok, because it’s like, what does this have to do with me, what’s that gotta do with us? I can hear you, and I can listen, but I don’t really want to”

I thought it was pretty ironic David called Kody a sore loser when we watched his behavior last season when he lost to Kody racing the cars and when Kody turned down his invitation to ride ATV's in Moab. Just because I dislike Kody, does not mean I automatically like David. Even Janelle mentioned he has very similar character traits as Kody.

Meri , still wanting to be in touch with Robyn and Kody. Still believing Kody and Robyn over Janelle. Even though Janelle was the one who told her to get a lawyer. Ran to tattle on Janelle to gain favor with Kody. Nothings changed with Meri. Kody has no contact with Leon. But Meri is still wanting to be in his life.

Made us believe time and time again that this was when she’s finally going to tell us ‘her story’. Gives nothing but 5 pictures we’ve already seen. 🙄. If this is what we have to look forward to this season then I was right,That show needs villains. But the people wanted them off the show and now we have this snooze fest.

At least Kody will be back. I am starting to think this is a storyline. They will string viewers along for most of the season and Kody will come back at the end. Why? Because he won't be able to resist the paycheck. Money over his and Robin's pride.

I'm super surprised to see how many totes of photos the moms had since TLC only ever cycles through the same 5 ones every single episode.

Who would you rather be married to- David from SisterWives or Chris from LPBW?

Initially Chris gave me the ick, but he's grown on me. David is the opposite. Initially I liked him but something about him feels off lately.
