hi yall

so my budget is around 4-5kish and idk which company i should go for piston or piso and can i use skateboard on normal asphalt roads?

Hello guys. I've been thinking of buying a skateboard sincs I was a kid. Now that I've money of my own, I think I can buy one finally. But here are some questions that have come up in my mind

1. I'm 28, a little towards the heavier side of weight. How feasible will skateboarding be for me? Will I be able to learn it for real?

2. I stay in a campus. And I am a PhD scholar. The roads inside the campus are very good but sadly there are no proper skateboard parks nearby. My university is also on the outskirts of the city so even if there is a skating park, I won't be able to go regularly. So are normal campus roads okay to skate on?

3. Budget isn't an issue for me right now. I did some research on which brands to buy from. So far so Piso is something im gravitating towards.

4. I spend a lot of time inside the lab..have to. How regular do I need to be to have a decent level of control over a skateboard? I know the question is silly but I do need to know the level of commitment required

I am looking to buy a waveboard (it excites me more as it can be propelled without pushing my legs on the ground). One option is Decathlon, but they have discontinued the models that were for >50 kg. so only option available is WB120

Another option is Airavat, but I've never heard of this brand before, so I'm not sure about its quality.

and how are the Ripstick different from the waveboard .

I'm in a small town in Maharashtra (Kolhapur) for about 1.5 months, and I really wanted to try skateboarding. I will be going to Sweden for my master's, and I thought it would be a fun way to get around town. I am looking to mainly learn this for transport, not into tricks at the moment, at least.

Looking for a decently cheap board, since I doubt I'll be able to take it abroad with the weight limit.

Any recommendations as to where I can get such a board? My shoe size is UK10.

There are 1-2 parks where skating classes are held, but I'm not sure if they are private and if I can get access or not. I assume I'll be practising on asphalt mostly, if not a skating park.

Earlier when I used to be 15 I had a penny board as it was easier to ride on our roads . Can't do anything tricks on them and I always wanted to buy a skateboard but knew it will be of no use should I buy one , ik some spots to ride but it will be more fun if there was a place or people from gurgaon wh I can meet. I used to be so fascinated with sk8 lifestyle and alt culture. So 2 months ago i went ahead and bought a piston skateboard.

The thing is noisy and slow, even on decent concrete roads. Going upslope is a pain in the ass. I've gotten softer wheels, cleaned up the bearings, doesn't help.

Tricks take forever to learn. Injuries take forever to heal.

22M planning on starting skateboarding, my feet size is 8 can anyone please suggest to me what board to buy it's very confusing, I'll be mostly practising on asphalt roads and I just want to learn basic tricks and how to ride.

Hey guys, I'm a beginner and want to practice skating in skateparks, I stay in hsr. I know about Play Arena and other skating parks, they're either expensive or too far to travel everyday. Are there any places near hsr to practice skateboarding everyday? Even abandoned parking lots or old skateparks would. Thanks in advance for the help!
