1year old still on purees - help

Hi ! FTM here and anxious one.
My LO is 12months old (in2weeks) and is still on purees. We give him finger foods every meal, he tries but most of the time throws it or doesn’t bite and doesn’t look convinced.

I know that we will pick it up some day, but I’m anxious because he is one of the last babies at daycare not eating “real food”.

Am I the only one here in this situation ? Should I quit purees at once and completely or let him get used to solid foods slowly.

Thanks 🙏

Please explain BLW/ starting solids to me like I’m 5!

I have an almost 4 month old so will start food when we get pediatrician approval so can someone please explain starting solids to me like I’m 5? Do I start with purées and if so which ones? How often? When do you start increasing the amount of food? Do you have a schedule? When do you introduce BLW? I am so confused!

While I do have a toddler. I had severe PPD and she wouldn’t eat much and is still till this day the pickiest eater ever and I truly think it’s my fault because I never put in effort before she was 1. I took the whole food is for fun before 1 too seriously and didn’t try and regret it so much

Starting with green vegetables and no interest

Anyone else started to "wean with green" and getting nowhere? Like not even putting anything near his mouth? We thought he was ready as he is always grabbing towards our food. But we've tried broccoli, courgette and avocado and he vaguely picks it up, maybe touches it near his lips and then that's it... Everything non-food he picks up he shoves in his mouth!

Need chunky purée recipes

My baby is 9.5 months old and is a very aggressive eater. I’ve tried BLW and he just stuffs his face and it scares me so bad 😭 so we’ve been doing purées but I need ideas for chunkier/lumpier purées! He eats scrambled eggs with cottage cheese almost every morning. And I made chicken in the food processor mixed with sweet potato. But that’s really the only ‘chunky’ food he’s gotten. I tried ground turkey last night and he just spit it out lol. I saw a post about stews which is a great idea! I’ll definitely be making something up. Any other ideas???
I know so many people make these big BLW plates but he literally eats like he hasn’t eaten in a week the way he stuffs his mouth so I’m really trying to take it slow 😭
