1year old still on purees - help

Hi ! FTM here and anxious one.
My LO is 12months old (in2weeks) and is still on purees. We give him finger foods every meal, he tries but most of the time throws it or doesn’t bite and doesn’t look convinced.

I know that we will pick it up some day, but I’m anxious because he is one of the last babies at daycare not eating “real food”.

Am I the only one here in this situation ? Should I quit purees at once and completely or let him get used to solid foods slowly.

Thanks 🙏

Transition puree to solids - anxious mom

Hi everyone,

FTM here and with my 11month old baby, we are trying to introduce more solid food (soft finger food) to transition from puree to solids.
We are late comparing to others due to travel and teething. And I feel like we missed a window where babies put everything in their mouth.
I have replaced the diner puree with finger foods, but honestly baby isn’t eating much and our daily formula volumes aren’t decreasing (27-32oz). He mostly gnaw on foods he like (zucchini, strawberry, sweet potato) and plays or spits the rest (carrots, eggs…).
Also, it is not helping my case but he has been teething for 3 weeks now, those 2 upper central incisors are taking forever to come out. So even the puree is refused sometimes.
How long did it take for your baby to pick up solids if you did a transition from purées? Is there anyone who did this transition late like us?

Thanks a lot for you help!
