I was one of 31 people who won a $1,000 gift card from spirit but it came up as invalid and me and the employee were both on hold with different departments. I ended up having to pay with my own money and will try calling again tomorrow to get it working

Has anyone else had this trouble or having this trouble?

Ok, imma start this off with the fact that I work at Spirit Halloween. Since the company merger, I’ve been told that I can now get an employee discount at Hot Topic. We’ve had Hot Topic employees use their employee numbers for discounts in our system, and they work just fine. Spirit sent out an email saying that we (Spirit employees) can get the 50% off discount for this weekend. I went in store today, bought some stuff, gave them my info, but my total seemed high. I left the store for a second to look over my receipt and I didn’t get the discount? So I went back in and the manager was just as confused as I was. At first it seemed like a system error, so she needed to make some calls. I left the store again to give them time to figure things out, and when I came back I was told that Spirit employees don’t qualify for the discount? I decided to just return my items, I really didn’t want a fuss. But I guess the manager felt bad, so she called her manager again to see if there was anything they could do. The store manager actually requested to talk to me on the phone. She told me that they received an email this morning saying that Spirit employees won’t be getting the discount. I just don’t know why we would receive an email saying the exact opposite? Given, we did get the email a few days ago, and things change, but why weren’t we updated? Has anyone else encountered this? (I did end up just returning everything, in case anyone was wondering🥸)((I’m also not bashing the employees, it seems like corporate really fudged some stuff up))

Thank you all so much for your replies! It seems the location I went to was ill informed (which happens, I get it). I’m going to try my luck at a different location, today, and hopefully have a better outcome!

Is it a particular reason why spirit doesn't give rewards to customers I've been to several stores this year and brought a few items and it crossed my mind what is the reason for having a email or account with them and dont really get anything in return I've just been trying to figure it out if I come in the store or even spend online for this year donate and if my state happens to get a spirit of Christmas this that's more spending and donating this year you telling me I can't build up anything for some next years season can anyone explain why points or rewards given to its committed fans?

I’ve tried to look this up and didn’t get the most clear answers. I usually make a point to go after season to pick up some outdoor decor at a discounted price and there are a few things I’ve waited to pick up because of that. This is the first time our local spirit will become the Christmas version so I’m not really sure what to expect. Am I waiting for a sale that will never come?

So I asked a sales associate and they said my local store will not have an end of season sale. They were told to pack everything up and convert to Christmas in the span of about 4 or 5 days. Sounds like all Halloween will be sent back without going on sale. I’m still gonna keep an ear out because I’ve been hearing a lot of different plans.

I bought a costume from a Spirit Halloween inconveniently far from me because I was in the area at the time. After realizing it's too large, can I exchange it for a smaller size at the store closest to me?

Also, the order was made online for pickup using a discount promo code, will that affect the exchange?

Yesterday they opened up Spirit Halloween by my house and of course I stood in line to get one of their Totes. Luckily I got one because everyone ran to the display. I saw people grabbing like 5 of each design. It must've been like 5 or 6 different individuals that took all the inventory. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Everything was gone within 5 min or probably less
