Change to vintage bridge?

I really don't like the look or feel of the modern bridge. I'm hoping I can just replace it with an ashtray bridge. I don't care about any left over screw holes or having to drill new ones, but I'm concerned about intonation. It seems the modern bridge saddles are a lot further back than the vintage style would even allow.

Pink – Who wore it best?

Not actually a contest, because the real winner is me! Both these guitars are stunning and wonderful to play. But the Yamaha Pacifica's colour is branded "ash pink", whereas the CV Strat's colour is called "white blonde". To my eye — and I'm often wrong on this, but my other half actually agrees with me, in this case — that Squier is pink.

The colour "white blonde" itself looks different on different Fender/Squier guitars. It's a translucent white paint finish that can be accented by the colour of the wood underneath. But in the case of the Squier CV strat, the ones I've seen all look distinctly pink.

And yes, even other branded colours (like "shell pink") look different on different Squiers and Fenders of different origins and years. Some are more peachy, some more vibrant, some lighter and some darker.

Anwyay, this is just for anyone looking for a pink guitar (I've had four and currently have three) but not willing to pay the pink premium — white blonde may be the way to go. Even better, you get some visuals of a wood grain. Also, it's a rare pink guitar with a maple neck, which looks (and feels) fantastic.

Nothing else needs to be said about the CV Strat, other than to me it's perfect the way it is and I see no need to upgrade anything other than myself, a continuous work in progress.

Debut Squier Stratocaster?

I bought and am enjoying a Fender Debut Squier Stratocaster. I am a new guitar player. Are there different models of Fender Squiers and of Stratocasters? What are the differences? I gather mine is an inexpensive model, maybe made only for Amazon, but it seems fine. Just curious. Thanks.

I modified my first guitar.

My first electric was a Squier Showmaster NLT

After some years passing and some gear changes. I decided to repurpose it as a more straightforward heavy guitar.

Drop C, Artex HXTN rail humbucker, 1 volume and scalloped last frets

Have a great day y’all!

2019 Bullet Mustang Mystery

On the top horn of my 2019 Seafoam Green Mustang there's a chip revealing a Metallic Blue undercoat, I saw it and assumed it was originally the blue color and a previous owner refinished it in green but when I looked up the serial number it showed up as Seafoam Green from the factory, any theories? What I think is they made one of the blue ones and had made too many blue ones or the paint job had defects so they just refinished it to Seafoam Green and sent it out

First Squier Guitar

Hi! I just picked up my first Squier Tele and I’m considering changing the pickguard to cream/aged pearl and the tone knob to a witch hat style. What do you think—worth it or should I keep it stock? Thanks for any input! 😁

Sonic Mustang

I just wanted to say that I am extremely happy with my Sonic Mustang SS. Everything about it is superb, weight, neck, ergonomics, sound, looks. Even QC was top notch.

Big recommendation, especially if you have smol fingers.

SQUIER STRATO CV 50 MOD

I want to modify and improve the electronics of my Squier Stratocaster CV50 and would appreciate any ideas or help.

I have experience soldering components, but when it comes to guitar electronics, I've only done one Tom DeLonge Strat project, which was extremely simple to assemble.

The main modification of this project involves replacing the bridge pickup with an Oripure Hot Rails and splitting the coil to maintain a clear sound in that position. I'll also take this opportunity to change all the wiring, potentiometers, and the connector.

My idea is to put the push/pull potentiometer on a tone control (preferably the second one) to avoid accidentally pressing it while playing, but I can't find any specific diagrams.

The components I have in mind for this project are:

1 CTS A500k volume potentiometer

1 CTS A250k push-pull tone potentiometer

1 CTS A250k tone potentiometer

1 PureTone connector

1 Orange Drop capacitor 0,22 nF 100 V

1 22AWG push back wires vintage

My idea is to make a guitar with a slightly more rock-oriented sound, with a heavier tone in the bridge position, while still retaining some of the Stratocaster essence. If anyone has a wiring diagram showing the tone controls being used as push/pull switches, or if they have any ideas on how to achieve my goal, I would be very grateful.
