NGD Squier Affinity Stratocaster

Feels nice out of the box. Only required some minor setup adjustments. Looks beautiful.

I am going to switch to a 1 ply black pickguard and black pickup covers and put a dual rail pickup in the bridge.

Saddles are slightly off

Im putting together a diy kit (leo jaymz), and I'm not using any of the hardware or electronics that came with it, except for the bridge.

I'm hoping it is just a poorly made bridge, and it's not that the holes in the body were drilled incorrectly. But it's off, just a little bit. The saddles are all angled slightly in one direction.

I ordered one of the bridges I have used on other builds, but I'm worried the holes in the body are wrong.

The true final form

I'm out of room, and if I add an eighteenth pedal, there is hiss in the background. At 17, it's still clear when using 3 separate isolated power supplies

New diy kit Telecaster

This is a Leo Jaymz diy Telecaster. I tossed the hardware and electronics that came with it. They were you standard bottom shelf quality stuff.

Instead, I got all black hardware and a humbucker and hot rail pickups for it.

Overall, I am really happy with it. Not just the end result, but the body paint job was excellent, and the neck and frets needed next to no finishing, just a little touching up.

I highly recommend Leo Jaymz kits for a modding project.

Leo Jaymz Telecaster Carnival Red DIY Kit

I just got this kit. A Leo Jaymz Carnival Red Telecaster. The paint job is actually really well done. No blemishes or orange peel.

The neck is nice and very smooth. The frets are nice. Edges are not sharp with no protruding edges.

The included hardware is very light weight and even looks cheap. The electronics are the solderless clip system type. None of which I am going to use.

My overall first impression is that this kit is great for a modding project.

At 100 bucks, it's worth it for the body and neck.

I'm going to go with all black hardware, black pickguard. With a humbucker neck and traditional single coil bridge. I have an extra bridge pickup from my Affinity telecaster I can use and one of my extra stratocaster neck humbucker pickups.

I will make another post later when it's all done.

Mega Man 3 and Life Force added to the collection

Always wanted to get the old mega man games on Nes. My first one is with mega man 3.

I keep hearing good stuff about life force. I think as a kid, I only played it at the arcade.

What are your experiences with these two games? Live them? Hate them?

Let's hear it.

My 2 new Boss pedals!

I had a little modulation pedal, but all I ever used was the phaser, so I thought it was time to get a proper phaser. Plus, I wanted a guitar chorus pedal to replace my old digitech bass multichorus.

Chrome and Black Aklot Lorien

I got this guitar to mod it. This guitar originally had hardware with a gun smoke metal finish and a coil splitting (push/pull) hh set up.

The hardware was kinda cheap, and the pickups were weak. I like the Coil split, but I have another guitar that does it better.

So I swapped out the pickups and hardware going with a chrome finish.

These pick-ups are much stronger, and the chrome locking tuners fixed the tuning stability issues.

I love the way it came out. It plays comfortably and now has nice pickups.

Squier Sonic HT 3 dual rails

I got this guitar back in March. I kept it in its original form for only about a week. It had a single humbucker in the bridge.

I wanted to put in more pickups, so I got one of my leftover strat prewired sss pickguards and solder out the bridge pickup and soldered in a humbucker bridge pickup.

I tried a dual rail humbucker in one of my other guitars (Telecaster) and had a idea.

So.............

That mod led to this 3 dual rail humbucker setup now.

I put a dual rail bridge pickup in my telecaster

I love this guitar! I have had it for only a week and a half, but I love it so much. It only had one minor issue. It had a stock single coil bridge pickup.

The hardware is really solid, so I didn't want to change the bridge itself, so I went with a dual rail humbucker, and it's wonderful.

I got a fleor pickup because I have installed pickups of theirs before and been pleased with the results. I got an 11.6 reading on the multimeter.

Pictures are after and before.
