Fandom Flashback: In 1999, TheForce.Net polled fans, asking their opinions on Luke's relationships, and in 2000, surveyed the fandom about Luke's marriage to Mara Jade

Original Clone Wars Date

This is something that I do find interesting about the old EU. Originally, before the prequels, it was assumed that the Clone Wars happened much farther back in the timeline, years before the birth of the Empire and the fall of the Jedi Knights. The Clone Wars was not directly tied to either and was instead a separate event.

Is it in-character for Pellaeon to immediately seek to strike against the New Republic after Feena D'asta is dead? (Crimson Empire III Issue #5)

Asking since I don't know much about Pellaeon beyond the surface level lore of him settling for peace with the New Republic by the end of the Galactic Civil War

So what was the point in undoing Feena D'asta's death by having her be replaced with a clone? (Crimson Empire III Issue #6)

Loose ends in the EU: How do you imagine they panned out?

As a longtime fan of the Lucasarts games in particular I wanted to hear your thoughts or ideas on what could've happened to some characters whose story was never finished because said games didn't get the sequel or comic follow up they deserved.

Reti: Star Wars Starfighter games

I still need to play Rogue Squadron but I still revisit the Starfighter games at least twice a year and wish we got a third game tied to Revenge of the Sith. I like to imagine it could've panned out with Nym and Vana eventually finding Reti but there's a catch; left to his own devices for years and possibly after some punishment from whoever put the bounty on his head, Reti has become this jaded and vicious mercenary type (not unlike the two villains from previous games) who first serves the Separatist alliance to pay off his debt and then also the empire. I imagine the story ends with him either surviving long enough to see Death Star II explode or perhaps redeeming himself with a heroic sacrifice at the space battle of Endor (having eventually joined the rebels).

Sev: Republic Commando

Without a doubt one of the most famous game cliff hangers, Republic Commando is one the best and coolest games of this era I ever played, game oozes badass energy and I hear the cancelled sequel would've had Sev be one of the first rebels, with Boss and Scorch somehow joining him while Fixer stays with the Empire (basically Bad Batch long before Bad Batch then). I personally used to imagine only Sev joining the rebels and eventually confronting the other 3 near the end of the Galactic Civil War aboard a ship the rebels have shot down, either Boss or Scorch being the only survivor who lives to write a tell-all book about their life just like the clone trooper from Battlefront II.

Captain Fordo: Clone Wars microseries

One of the first and coolest of pre episode III clone troopers who didn't appear again. I imagine him taking part in the last days of the Galactic Civil War but surviving and retiring because... well... because it's Fordo!

Let me know if there are other very valid characters I've missed.

Just read the Book of Sith and Jedi Path

These books are pretty amazing and gives really good insights into the views of different characters. The only thing I found to be annoying were Ahsoka's annotations and some of Anakin's. It wouldve been better if they shifted the timeline in which Luke compiled the books as I feel Jacen would've been an interesting character to have annotations in these books given that he loved to ponder the deeper philosophical aspects.

Mara Jade timeline?

Hey there EU fans. I’m still pretty new to EU stuff and just wrapped up the Bane books. Really dug those :)
I really like the idea of Mara Jade from the little I’ve heard about the character. I don’t want to start looking into her character at the wrong point.

So! What is the chronology I should be looking for? :)
I know some people will say just look it up but I feel asking here is the better option 😂

Why not use this ritual?

If the Sith are so obsessed with obtaining immortality like they are, well most that aren't the Ro2 sith anyway, why didn't they use Vitiate's ritual? His spirit seemed to be truly immortal, not even having to really worry about having a host for some time. Sure he did eventually need one, but it seemed like he could go a bit without one and cause no real issues, besides a strange sense of memory loss.

Of all the ships seen and established in the books, shows, TV, and movies, which do you think is would be best for a solo adventurer?

Only stipulations is that:

It can’t be used by main characters

It can’t be used by the Empire.

It needs a decently large amount of interior room to store all sorts of cargo and adventurer trophies and about a DND party’s worth of travelers.

Astromech droid compatible preferred.

Iv been trying to do this research for the past few hours but I can’t find anything that lets me see a list of ships by ship size or class. Any ships that would be a good fit would be welcome suggestions!

Possible future of Set Harth

Set Harth was a temporary apprentice to Darth Zannah who eventually defected from the Banite Order. He held onto Darth Andeddu's holocron for centuries, becoming a master of essence transfer. Using clones of himself that he could transfer into, Set Harth lived all the way into Luke's era with him being confirmed to be alive during the Yuuzahn Vong war.

This got me thinking, if EU had continued, do you think they would've eventually used Set Harth as a big bad? He was one of the oldest living sith, having been alive at the very beginning of the Banite lineage, he has knowledge of ancient dark side abilities and had watched the galaxy change for over a thousand years. He'd basically be like Darth Krayt on crack.

The biggest wasted potential in Star Wars is the unexplored galaxies

I honestly feel like Star Wars has so much more potential than constantly revisiting the same timeline and characters through sequels, prequels, and in-between stories. Instead of always focusing on the history of the main galaxy, why not explore completely different galaxies far, far away from the original one?

Space in Star Wars is basically endless. There could be entirely different civilizations, Force beliefs, empires, species, technologies, and conflicts existing beyond the known galaxy. Imagine stories where the Jedi and Sith are just ancient myths to another galaxy, or where the Force is understood in a completely different way.

As a fan, I feel like this would bring back that sense of mystery and discovery that made Star Wars feel magical in the first place. The universe is supposed to feel massive and unknown, but most stories still revolve around the same events, bloodlines, and planets. Exploring new galaxies could make Star Wars feel limitless again.

Does anyone else think Star Wars should start exploring outside the main galaxy instead of constantly revisiting the same timeline?

I need you

Hi everyone, I have a first-world problem. I've printed a 1m long X-Fighter. What do I do with it now? I was kind of in the mood for the challenge. Now I just need to do some cosmetic work. Do you have any ideas on how I can display it or how I can visually integrate it into an apartment with my wife and child?

Heir to the Empire trilogy.

I consumed the heir to the empire trilogy via the audiobooks, which are amazing, Marc Thompson is the goat. But for the Last Command I really wanted to “watch” this instead of visualising it. So I would listen to the audiobook while reading the comic. Obviously there’s a lot more dialogue in the audiobook (novel), than the comic, but every speech bubble in the comic has a narration from the audiobook so for seconds at a time it was like watching an audio comic. So my question is, excluding copyright issues, how much work would go into cutting and editing the audiobook to every speech bubble in the comic to make a motion picture of the story?
