The worst airline I’ve ever experienced, what a shame.

Thought it would be fun to stay in Zurich for a day before returning to the US from Spain.

On the way to Spain, flight was delayed an hour and a half due to “technical issues” even though the pilot said 5 mins prior that we would be taking off. It can happen sometimes, so I didn’t question it.

Flight attendants passed waters to the first 9 rows then stopped randomly. Had to ask for waters and the FA was like - “oh, I thought someone gave everyone waters.” The plane ain’t that big but ok.

WiFi did not work as advertised. When I asked the FAs, they just shrugged.

They apparently ran out of meat dishes and handed me vegetarian without telling me or asking. But then the other FAs said there were more and the one who handed me the dish just moved on.

Multiple people were asked to hand over the carry-ons but there was plenty of space.

Now, I’m on my way back to the US, and again — boarded us and told us “technical issues” so we’ll be stuck here for another 1 1/2 hours.

Before sitting, I was trying to get my luggage in the overhead bins and noticed multiple peoples’ personal items in the bins. Couldn’t fit my bag in, and the FA was like “it doesn’t fit.” Then walked away. Hello? Are all these FAs NPCs or is it their first day on earth or what?

Please get me off this plane and return me home. And remind me to never book this shitty airline again.

Why so expensive to fly from Zurich?

I am fairly often relatively close to Venice and when looking at flights I sometime look at going from Venice. Recently I was shocked to find that for some destinations the cheapest flight was with Swiss over Zurich. Very commonly I find a flight for about 200 with a stopover in Zurich, but the same flight is about 500 when taking only the leg from Zurich. This is not isolated, neither new and I found the case for many destinations. In the past (neraly 10 years ago) I almost went from VCE over ZRH to LAX with family because the saving was nearly 2000, before they dropped price for directly flights enought thay saving wasn’t worth it. I often get people fly with Swiss from Americas over Zurich to Europe bacause it was the most affordable option. Why are we getting ripped off like this? Why is so much more expesive for us to fly from Zurich and why Swiss is so cheap when starting the flight somewhere else?

My flight was cancelled and I was rebooked the next day on a different airline. Am I eligible for compensation under EU rules?

I booked a flight from the US to Europe with swiss. The flight was cancelled, with no reason given. Then I was automatically booked with united on a flight the next day. Am I eligible for compensation or meal vouchers?

Flight ticket confirmed but payment is reversed.

I booked a flight with SWISS International Air Lines for 20 August 2026. The booking currently appears as confirmed on the SWISS website. However, there is an issue with the payment: the credit card transaction initially appeared successful but was subsequently reversed/failed by my credit card provider.

I am therefore unable to confirm whether SWISS has actually received the payment and whether my booking is genuinely confirmed and secured.

I have already attempted to contact SWISS customer service by phone. After being on hold for approximately 20 minutes, the call was disconnected automatically. I also sent an email to SWISS earlier this morning but have not yet received a response.

What to do further?

Potentially bringing a pug onboard?

I am traveling from SKG to DUB through Geneva in 2 weeks and I have been planning on relocating my dog but since he is 10kg (>8kg) and a pug he is not allowed to travel in cabin or hold...Has anyone had experience with something similar flying with Swiss? Would there potentially be a way for them to let me bring him on in the cabin despite the weight being slightly over?
