I got an invitation for the 2nd round of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer role at TSMC Arizona. Did anyone else clear the 1st round? What can I expect in the second round?

Hi everybody, I would like to get some information regarding the job interview at ESMC. How many rounds do candidate go through? How long do the rounds last? Are they all on the same day? If there are more rounds, is the first one usually with HR or is it a technical interview? What kind of questions are candidate being asked/what are they interviewer trying to assess? Is it usually in English or German?
Thank you very much in advance, any info would be truly appreciated
I recently completed my M.S. in Materials Science, and somewhat unexpectedly, I was contacted for an interview for a Module Process Engineer position at Fab 21.
The opportunity surprised me because I didn’t directly apply for this role. I had applied to a different position at TSMC quite a while ago and wasn’t expecting to hear back. Most of my background is in aerospace and metallurgy rather than semiconductors, so I’m curious why they thought I’d be a good fit.
I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions online about both TSMC and the Process Engineer role. Is it really as bad as people make it out to be?
Also, if anyone has experience with the interview process or the day-to-day job, I’d appreciate any advice.
For context I did an initial interview with TSMC for their process technician dry etch department yesterday, I received a notice saying I was rejected, but then I received an invitation to do an assessment test for a second round interview with them today.
(if it matters, the initial interviewers were all people who I assume were from Taiwan and the interview was conducted almost entirely in Mandarin)
I got a job offer at TSMC and signed it contingent on a background check etc… but I don’t want to move all the way to AZ before they do that.
So I’m wondering if they wait until you start to get this info or if they get it right away after you sign a contract and before you start in person.
I recently applied for a process technician and have my first interview scheduled. I was wondering if it was normal to have 4 senior level process engineers scheduled as the interviewers. Most of the comments I see look like they top out at 3. I have completed a semiconductor pre apprenticeship certification class a while back and was wondering if maybe that was why I had so many interviewers.
Good afternoon all,
Reaching out to the employees that currently work at TSMC in Arizona. I was wondering, what is the workplace benefits of working there? For example is Cafeteria/cafe, recreation, gym, workplace clinic?
I currently work for applied materials and will be going to the fab in phoenix as a customer engineer. What are some things to expect working there? If there are any aforementioned items could you elaborate on them and also is the fab site EV friendly (has EV charging available)?
For those who are senior engineers, what is your YOE, base, and bonus
I have an interview and want to know.
Hey all, I have a 2nd interview for the process engineer role soon, and I wanted to ask if there is anyone that went through the interview process for this (or related) position before. What should I expect? Is it similar to the first round?
Hey y'all, I was recently hired by TSMC and had a question regarding how the house search trips are handled. It's clear that spouses and domestic partners can have their airfare covered for the trip but has anyone had experience with TSMC covering airfare for a boy/girlfriend?
Hi everyone,
I recently accepted a fixed-term AMHS Technician position at TSMC Arizona and was curious about the compensation progression for technicians who convert to direct/full-time employees.
For those who have worked as AMHS technicians or similar technician roles at TSMC Arizona:
What does the typical pay progression look like after conversion?
Are annual performance bonuses offered to direct employees?
If so, are they usually a fixed percentage, performance-based, or company-performance based?
Are there any other compensation benefits that become available after conversion that fixed-term employees don’t receive?
Not looking for exact personal compensation details—just trying to get a general idea of what technicians can expect long-term.
