Does anyone know what movie they are watching?

I heard Godzilla's roar, so is it an older godzilla, or a random movie?

I am wondering because I am trying to watch all of the older godzilla movies, and am wondering if I missed anything

People who's favorite song is "Tribute" believe jack black is lying, as he states multiple times in the song that it is NOT the greatest song in the world

PTA in TENACIOUS D (1997)?

Hey all,

So I was rewatching the Tenacious D series and in the second segment of the third episode, there is a featured extra during their opening performance who happens to be featured again when Paul asks them to play the road gig.

During the first scene, I went, "That guy looks so familiar, weird." But the second scene, it hit me: that dude looks exactly like Paul Thomas Anderson. Height checks out, facial features, and hes dead center of the frame, too.

The connective tissue is there: PFT was cast in MAGNOLIA thereafter, John C. Reilly was in HARD EIGHT and BOOGIE NIGHTS, which was likely filming in L.A. around the time the D Show was filming, and PTA has long had ties to the LA comedy scene. But I can't find anyone having ever asked about this to either the D or PTA.

Can anyone confirm or deny? Anyone lurking here know anyone who worked on the production of the show? Has PFT ever talked about it?

The pick of destiny and tribute

I haven't seen anyone talking about this online, but you know how in tribute they sing about fighting and beating the devil? That's exactly what happens in the pick of destiny, but in the confines of the movie, they would be more then willing to lie on an album, or make themselves look better.

This all may be common knowledge, but I believe that the beezleboss fight at the end of the pick of destiny is the "greatest song in the world" that they forgot when they got stoned. And they made tribute to "compensate" for it.

Maybe it happens right after the final battle, they go into the "recording studio still stones from Satan's horn and sing tribute

What do yall think, is it implied? I think it is, or am I shooting for the stars?
