The one that came with my BYOK died, and all I have is an older Finite thing I found at a thrift store. Looking for solid, dependable, and compact. But, I also just want to see all your beautiful keyboards!!
Ultimately I’m glad I ordered the BYOK as it met my needs over competitors in most ways. I’m usually at a desk or table or whatever but the one downside is the occasional situation where I wish I had a clamshell product for lap writing. What are your hacks, set ups, or recommended keyboards to make lap writing work? I have one keyboard that has its own little easel for the BYOK but it’s super tiny and I have gigantic hands!
I got the date showing that it's expected next Tuesday, but I wanted to see if anyone in the group got things moving further than label creation. And second, are you able to share picture of your BYOK along with your setup? That would be appreciated.

These are the keyboards I'm planning on using. I have confidence all 3 of them will work. As long as my single and double quotes aren't hard to get to, then I'll be fine. I'm excited for next Tuesday.

For everyone who ordered a BYOK and has been waiting for this batch, has anyone gotten shipping notifications or received their BYOK yet?
I was wondering if there is an option, if someone have the code or a Byok and could release it. I'm a student and a begginer writer but without budget and I belive in the free spread of knowledge, media, and resources. Even more when it's for educational purposes. If anyone could help me, I would be so pleased and in debt with the kind person.
Edit: I plan to make a prototype of the original Byok but with recycled materials. A display from somewhere and some batteries and something to run the code in(like a raspberry) . I'll figure out how to do it but first I need the code, but if there is somebody that wants to helping me through the process, I'll be very grateful.

When editing a line, the “_” representing the cursor is one slot to the right of what position is being modified by the next key press.
Ex:
If the screen looks like this “Hello, and good by” with the “_” under the “y” in “bye”, if I press backspace, the b will be deleted. My intuitive mind things the letter above the “_” should be what would be edited.
Could this be updated? Or do others like it this way?

I know the BYOK is relatively new to the market but I’m wondering if there’s a major interest in like making 3D printed cases or sticker skins for the device?
This thing collects fingerprints nearly as bad as my Traveler and I’m hoping to see like clip on cases or sticker based skins for it to get rid of them or hide them.
Extremely petty concern, I know! But I’m wonder if anyone who has the capability to do so has considered it lol
