Sorry if I'm repeating a question from elsewhere, but I'm having issues with formatting.
If I use Markdown in a BYOK file (ie; **bold**, *italic**, etc) is there any way to convert that to rich text when accessing files in Studio? I understand that formatting is limited on the device for a reason but it'd be good to know if there's a way to add formatting more easily further down the line.
As someone who struggles with just getting the words down, the last couple of weeks have been a revelation. Since the screen only holds about half a dozen lines at any one time, it's like whatever I've finished writing just stops existing — turns out the key to successful writing is a lack of object permanence!
After radio silence for a few days, Royal Mail dropped this on my doorstep this morning — on my birthday, no less!
Luckily I had already booked the day off work so I just had to try it out. Short version: it's everything I hoped it would be and I'm deliriously happy.
So far, the only weak part of my BYOK is the K... Not sure this mini keyboard was the right pick for my fat fingers... If anyone has any recommendations for a full-sized one that folds up small for transport, do let me know!
Got this custom made by OzLaboratory3D on Etsy. As soon as I got my X4 I knew I wanted to get a cover with the words DON'T PANIC written on it in large, friendly letters, and now I've got one!
Anyone had an update on shipping beyond the label being created? That was the last I heard on May 20, is that normal?
Forgive me if I'm asking an obvious question, but this is my first machine and I'm still getting to grips with it...
The knob on the left side of the platen has this weird little button in the middle. Feels like I should be able to push it but it's very stiff and doesn't seem to change anything. What's it actually for?
After months of lurking here I finally have a machine to show off!
Some dear friends got married this weekend and instead of a guest book to sign they had this lovely typewriter out for people to type them messages. I was their best man, and they gave me the machine as a thank you for my speech!
No idea whether it's a "good" machine or whether it's in the best condition, but either way I'm over the moon!
Anyone have any experience of one of these keyboards? I like the idea of an ultra-portable setup but I'd love to get feedback from someone who's used it!
