Weekend hangs and plans (near Gachibowli and Kondapur)

Weekend hangs and plans (near Gachibowli and Kondapur)

Okay so real talk I have been in Hyderabad 2+ years and I've officially run out of "new things to do." Every café, every event, every group chat feels like a rerun.

So I'm doing something about it.

I'm putting together a small, tight-knit circle and not just another random meetup group, not a networking thing, not another WhatsApp group that dies in a week. Just people who:

  • Actually want to create stuff or get out of the comfort zone
  • Want to grow without the "personal brand" pressure
  • Know how to have fun without it feeling like a LinkedIn event

Keeping this small on purpose — quality over crowd, and I've got a few ideas brewing for what we could actually do together. There might be a small cost involved for some things (venue, supplies, whatever the activity needs) but nothing crazy.

Comment below if any questions or DM me and tell me one creative thing you've been wanting to do but haven't had the people for. I'll be picking people based on vibe, not follower count.

Cafe suggestions halfway bw Gachibowli and Secunderabad

I'm new to the city and have no clue about the good places for a coffee and a chat. Unfortunately my friend who's from here doesn't go out much. We're looking for a good restaurant/cafe to meet up that's preferably somewhere halfway between Gachibowli and Secunderabad.

Looking for a running group around Gachibowli 🏃‍♂️

Hi everyone! I’m looking to get into regular running and was wondering if anyone here runs in a group around TNGO Colony or Gachibowli Stadium, or Gachibowli.

If there’s already a group that I could join, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. Would be nice to meet some fellow runners and stay consistent together! 😊

Thanks!

I’m at cross roads

recently spent three weeks with my family, and my mom really wanted me to stay longer. After coming back home, I feel guilty because part of me also feels relieved to be back in my own routine. It makes me wonder why I can’t simply adjust and stay with my parents for their sake, especially as they’re getting older. I genuinely want to spend more time with them, and I’ve been thinking about moving to India for a year or two.
My biggest concern is my kids education. He’ll be entering 4th grade next year. I’m considering enrolling him in a good school in Hyderabad for 4th and possibly 5th grade, and then moving back to the U.S. before he starts middle school. Is this realistically feasible? Which type of school or curriculum in Hyderabad would make his eventual transition back to the U.S. easier? Would spending one or two elementary-school years in India benefit him socially and culturally, or could the change in curriculum and then moving back make things difficult for him academically or emotionally

Traveling to Bhubaneswar Railway Station (BBS) this week? I’m a builder trying to fix the "coolie haggling" problem. Looking for 50 early adopters.

(Note: Explaining the exact mechanics below so everything is 100% transparent.)

Hey everyone. I’m Saswat, and I'm building a startup called LOKALOKO.

We all know the anxiety of getting out of a cab/train with heavy luggage and instantly getting swarmed by porters demanding multiple quotation of fares, and sometimes you just can't find them at all. I am running live this week exclusively at Bhubaneswar Railway Station (BBS) to test a fixed-price model.

How it works:

Simple Details: You just fill your Train Number and Number of Bags, and click on the Find a Porter button that opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message to our business number.

Visual Pricing: You send us a quick photo of your luggage on WhatsApp.

Fixed Fares: Based on the photo, we give you an exact fixed price. (Our base fare is ₹296 for 1 LOKALOKO Porter handling up to 4 standard sized bags. Oversized/heavy luggage will cost a bit more, but you know the exact price UPFRONT).

Zero Haggling: A verified LOKALOKO Porter meets you right at your coach or cab.

Pay: You pay LOKALOKO after your bags are safely dropped off.

We only have the capacity to handle 50 travelers this week. If you (or your parents/friends) are traveling to or from BBS this week and want to test this out.

https://www.lokaloko.com

I'm building this on the go and taking a lot of notes, so I'd love your brutal, honest feedback and ideas!

I heared their (Mutton) Laham Charsi, Roasted Nalli and mutton warqi kabab is too good

Hey r/hyderabad!

I’m planning a heavy Friday lunch run to Basavakalyan Empire in Banjara Hills to satisfy a serious mutton craving, and thought it’d be much better to open it up to the sub instead of eating solo. Always better to share a few extra dishes when ordering mutton!

A little about me:

I’m a 27-year-old bengali guy in sales, big foodie, coffee enthusiast, and a casual acoustic/bass guitar player. Pretty easygoing and always down for good conversation over solid food.

The Plan:

Where: Basavakalyan Empire, Banjara Hills

When: This Friday around 1:30 PM (flexible on time)

The Mission: Unapologetically demolish some mutton fry, gravies, and hot rotis/rice.

If you’re working nearby in Banjara Hills/Hitec/Jubilee Hills, have the afternoon free, or just have a strong craving for mutton, drop a comment below or send me a DM!
