Avatar pops up when I catch a Pokemon now
It's not even my avatar, other than the strap from a bag it's wearing.

Anyone else have this happen, or just me? I reached friendlevel5 with a friend, and checked out their remote trade stash, and they've got hundreds of 'mon tagged for trade, including some lovely dex fillers for me. So I initiate the trade, pick three, and send it off.
And then... nothing.
48 hours go by, and the trade expires.
Well, OK -- people are busy, life happens, I get it. So a few days later, I initiated the remote trade again. And as before, 48 hours later, the trade expires.
I can see their XP going up, so I know they're playing the game. If they don't want to trade with me, fine -- just cancel the trade. But what's up with just ignoring it and letting it expire?
Anyone else experience this kind of behavior?
3 times in a row this has happened to me today. I host a Dmax battle through pokiegenie, add and invite everyone, and as soon as the raid starts 1-3 people leave.
I’m not underleveled, everyone that has been joining is almost always level 70+. Anyone know what’s going on? Never had this issue before.
When you re-enter, it will look like you're entering with the link charges, but when the raid completes the link charges won't have been used but your paid pass will be consumed.
Support is also unwilling to do anything in this case.
The first time me and my friends saw this, we were pretty sure, but weren't absolutely certain. This time, I immediately was like 'oh shit' as soon as I accidentally tapped in using the raid pass and then after noting my link charge amount I carefully and consciously selected my link charges when re-entering and the glitch happened again.
To work around this, me and my friends before mega raids have taken to all verbally confirming to each other that we're toggled to link charges before anyone clicks into the raid.
Once you've entered once, I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done to save that raid other than not doing it. I wonder if waiting for the existing lobby to expire or waiting long enough might reset the pass, but it's not exactly something I'm eager to test on purpose.
Hello,
i am going to be in Kopenhagen attending the GoFest there. It is my first time. I booked one park experience for four hours and two additional citywide days.
I want to go all out raiding, hence my question:
Will there be a lot of additional city gyms for the remainder of the Gofest? The park should give plenty of options to raid, but i am unsure about the citywide addon and how many bonus/sponsored gofest gyms we will have there.
Thank you for your answers!

Has there been a change in spawn point overnight?
A few months ago when the spawn points last changed I lost most of my home spawns with just the odd one or two left.
However this morning something appears to have changed as I am seeing a lot more.
Anyone else notice a change?
I have tried different text strings to ask my Japanese friends for a Palkia with Spacial Rend, but none of them can be set as my Pokémon's nickname.
I did manage to get one friend's attention with the nickname "Campfireアプリ" (Campfire app) but the lack of a built-in communication system isn't helping.
I don't know if this is a Pokémon GO question, a Niantic policy question or a linguistics question, but is there a reliable Japanese text string I can nickname my buddy to signal that I wish to trade for Palkia with Spacial Rend?
On several accs - all at the same time, restart etc no help. 😅
Edit: Antibes, France if anyone wants to research 🙈
Edit 2: back after approx 30mins. Posting comparison pic
Does this ever happen to you? You're out playing the game, you've got a Mega Pokemon running, and a random wild spawn pops up that is definitely something you want extra XL candy for but it doesn't match the type of the mega you're running cuz you didn't expect it. Maybe something rare pops up on your Daily Adventure incense? Maybe you use an effective Mega in a raid battle and want to swap to one that actually boosts XL candy after the battle is won? Just me?
The Wayfarer team have announced changes to the reviewer rating system in Wayfarer. The old Poor/Fair/Good/Great system is now gone and instead you have a ranking which cannot decrease. Additionally, your own approved submissions and edits now count towards your rating.
As the old rating system has gone, any agreements earned will now count towards your Wayfarer medal in game (previously this only applied to agreements earned when you were in Good or Great standing). This will apparently be applied retroactively to agreements earned before the rating system was changed, so anyone who has the Wayfarer medal and has previously been in Poor or Fair standing may notice an increase in the total for the medal.
Additionally, as your new rank increases, you will unlock more wayspot and edit submissions, as well as increasing the daily refresh rate of submissions and edits. There are also future plans to increase the submission distance from the current 10km limit, and some other perks that haven't yet been announced.
The full announcement is linked to in this post if anyone wants to read it :)
Pokémon GO - Falinks Super Mega Raid Day Graphic created by MegaRayDesign! ✨
Really excited for this one, as it is one of my favorite recent megas! What about you? Are you ready to take on Mega Falinks?
NOTE: This is not a full team recommendation; these are simply a few of the top counters. I included 1 Legendary, 1 Mega, and 1 Budget counter (which includes any non-legendary/mega, as well as any Shadow Pokémon).
To participate in a Super Mega Raid, you must have 1 unfainted Mega Pokémon in your party, preferably in the last slot. 8 Players are needed to complete the raid, as each player can only take out 1 of Mega Falinks' shields.

Level your blissey to level 27.
Level your excadrill to level 25.5.
4 teams of Blissey(pound), Blissey(pound), Excadrill(mud shot, level 1 max attack) can beat registeel in a quad with a bit of luck without any boost. And it is also a solid team to bring to a lobby with strangers.
Strategy:
Note: And to guarantee the win in the worst luck possible the party will need to power up the excadrills to level 29.5 and level 2 max attack.
Excadrill and Blissey are often praised by the community due to their accessibility and strength in max battle and they are definitely excellent investments for max battle. In this analysis we will look into their performance against the dynamax registeel to see how far 2 blissey and excadrill can go with minimal investment.
This analysis is mainly written to help people with a small community with limited resources to beat registeel with the simplest strategy possible, and also provide bulkpoint information to help everyone to get more ready for registeel.
Huge thanks to
TrueNourishment's analysis provides the basis.
CreatorBeastGD's PokéChespin max battle simulator for specific damage calculation for the bulkpoints and damage.
Note: The calculation assumes registeel has 18000hp and CPM of 0.9.
I (sort of) double checked those numbers myself by rewatching a Registeel duo I did. From my calculation registeel should have 18000hp or even less. And the calculation from 0.9CPM seems to match the actual damage.
With the simple strategy of only max attack during max phase, we can calculate the amount of max phase (= number of attack registeel used except the fatal blow = amount of attack we need to tank) needed to beat registeel.
Number of attacks to tank = (Registeel's HP) / ((Excadrill Max attack damage)*12 + (damage between max phases))
Where: Registeel's HP = 18000 & Damage between max phase = 100
First we will look into the most cost efficient way to power up the party to tank by looking at the bulkpoints. And with that we will look how much further power up it takes to win.
We will calculate the bulkpoint of flash cannon, zap cannon and hyper beam in this section to find the most budget level for the worst iv Excadrill (x/10/10) and Blissey(x/10/10) to tank the most amount of registeel's attack. (Note: The tank number for excadrill does not count the fatal blow.)
^(Flash cannon:)
Blissey (x/10/10) at level 21.5 to tank 3 instead of 2
Blissey (x/10/10) at level 34 to tank 4 instead of 3.
Excadrill (x/10/10) at level 39 to tank 2 instead of 1.
^(Zap cannon:)
Blissey (x/10/10) at level 25 to tank 3 instead of 2
Excadrill (x/10/10) at level 25 to tank 2 instead of 1
Excadrill (x/10/10) at level 46.5 to tank 3 instead of 2
^(Hyper beam:)
Excadrill (x/10/10) at level 21.5 to tank 1 instead of 0
Blissey (x/10/10) at level 27 to tank 3 instead of 2
Hence, the most cost efficient way to increase the party longevity is level 27 blissey and level 25 excadrill.
We will consider each blissey can tank 3 attacks and excadrill can tank 1 attack for the upcoming calculation, with that "Number of attacks to tank" = 3+3+1 = 7
By applying the formula
Number of attacks to tank = (Registeel's HP) / ((Excadrill Max attack damage)*12 + (damage between max phases))
7 = 18000/(12x+100)
x = 206 (rounded up)
And for an Excadrill (10/x/x) to deal 206 max attack damage it will need to be level 29.5 with level 2 max quake.
In the calculation above the odds are heavily against us with the worse case possible, so in practise it should be easier since:
If registeel goes for target attack, the party takes 1/4 damage of a large attack if you dodge successfully, in practice you are super likely to get more than 7 max phases to attack
When you get 8 max phases:
8 = 18000/(12x+100)
x = 180 (rounded up)
When you get 9 max phases:
9 = 18000/(12x+100)
x = 159 (rounded up)
And a level 25 level 1 max attack excadrill deals 158 damage, you just need 0.5 more level to get to that 159 damage. (you don't actually need that since the extra damage from attacking using excadrill at the end and damage before the fatal blow makes up the difference)
If you actually took time and read the whole thing, I hope you can learn something from this analysis and be able to make better decision when planning future t5 dynamax battles.
Originally I planned to write a more generic analysis and realise it is too much content midway so I ended up focusing on blissey and excadrill because personally I think they are the best budget dynamax pokemon you can invest, also blissey is the most versatile tank for registeel being able to tank 3 of the attack 3 times.
To keep things short in general you can plan your party with these in mind:
Tanks: Be versatile for public lobby, if it is too expensive it is always great to go for 2x blissey. If your party is fully coordinated then you can consider building a party around tanking 1 specific moveset. (e.g. level 42 gengar as tanks vs focus blast/hyper beam registeel can do the same feat as the blissey i discuss above). You can refer to Resources/tools used section and use them to do calculations yourself.
Attacker: Higher the max attack damage the better, the ability to tank 1 extra attack might come in clutch.
This is my first long analysis article I post on Silphroad and I hope it will help people looking for ways to beat dynamax registeel with limited resources, I might do some similar analysis in the future if it is received well.
Hope i did not make any mistake here and please point out if you found any.
Finally feel free to ask any question regarding the articles and help on teambuilding/preping in general, I am happy to help if I have the time.

Not 100% rolled out yet. With it is my Android phone, and without it is my iPhone.
What’s that one Pokemon you can’t seem to find in Remote Trades because it’s so common people don’t think to save or tag them? As someone looking to complete my lucky-dex, I appreciate the really random/basic ones that people have tagged for remote trade.
Hopefully this post encourages those trainers that are insecure about the Pokemon they have to offer for remote trades!
I have had my autocatcher for the past 2 years, always on the same account. However, my main phone broke yesterday (wouldn’t turn on), so i’ve had to get a replacement phone in the meantime. I have signed into my main account on this phone & connected the auto catcher to it via factory reset.
Now, whenever I connect my auto catcher, it shows the below pop up every time. I cannot access my phone as it’s broken obviously. It was also only ever on this account. It is quite annoying as it’s every time, and it disconnects after a while too.
As well as this, when I hold the go plus to track sleep before going to bed, it flashes red instead of blue and does not track anything.
does anyone know what the solution/ reason for these 2 issues are? I would appreciate some help as I really have no idea. Thank you.
edit: I fixed the sleep tracking issue by placing it on a flat surface, which was my mistake as I forgot. However the reconnection issue is still present
So I'm a relatively casual lvl 75 player and so far I've become Forever Friends with about 10 people in the game. The first one was a good one: got a shiny Yveltal for my shiny Ho-oh of which I had 3 but no shiny Yveltal yet, with lucky friends it became a lucky 91% IV.
However, every single forever friend after that falls into one of two categories:
All of them are level 70+ with 2 level 80 players and one exception, a level 65 player. So while the latter one might be not that familiar with it, I simply cannot fathom why level 70+ and especially level 80 players are requesting Pokémon much better than what they're offering.
For example: yesterday I became FF with a lvl80 player and he immediately started a remote trade request and requested my shiny Zapdos, which is fine, but then I go look into his insane 500+ tagged remote trade mons and there's not a single shiny legendary! Only regular legendaries or when looking for shinies it's all base level shinies such as Pikachu, Charmander, Litten, so on. So I reject that trade request and start a new one, I ask for 3 regular legendaries and expecting him to choose similar, he does not and again requests my shiny Zapdos. I mean: didn't you get the hint when I refused it?
And the other lvl 80 player and 3 other 70+ players have nothing marked for remote trading at all! What's up with that? For a few of them, I've been waiting for a few weeks already, thinking they might've forgotten or I was maybe the first one and they still need to prepare, but still nothing.
I mean, I wouldn't mind trading some more regular stuff but make it at least a little like-for-like. So don't request a shiny legendary if you haven't got one to offer yourself. Or at least get the hint when I request regular legendaries after rejecting your trade request.
I'm officially done with this because purely based on remote trading, apart from that first one, it seems like the rest is either plain stupid or an a-hole in how they keep requesting the same very good pokémon while offering nothing in return. I feel like there should be an option/filtering system in which you can set something like categories and whether you want Pokémon to be equal, so a shiny for a shiny or legendary for legendary or shiny legendary for shiny legendary, meaning that if they choose a shiny legendary from me, they get the message they will have to select a shiny legendary to offer in return as well. Because who in their right mind is going to give away a shiny legendary that most often is the result of many many many raids and often real world money that's been put into the raid passes and then accept a regular legendary in return? And it's fine if you don't have a 2nd/3rd shiny legendary or a bad IV one to trade, but then don't request/expect one for your non-shiny legendary.
Hello everyone! Since GO Fest is approaching, I would like to find a search string that will let me mass delete all junk I might get during the event and keep only those Pokémon that have high or PVP-relevant stats.
I'm currently using the search string I got from this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/1gqzn37/an_analysis_of_conservative_mass_deletion_strings/, but I'm not totally satisfied with it because it still keeps Pokémon that have high Attack, regardless of their Defense or HP.
I've been using PokéGenie for the longest time, so I have a clear idea of what I want to keep: those 3*/4* and those with low Attack (0-1, maybe 0-2) and high Defense (3-4) and HP (3-4). Obviously Legendaries, Mythicals, and all of that sort as well.
I've been using some search string generators, but cannot seem to get the proper string I'm looking for. Can anyone help me?
Same blissey defending on two gyms simultaneously.
My defending Pokémon list didn't show it on there either, but it still remains on the gym and seems to behave like normal otherwise.
However i purposely took down another gym so I could see and i was able to place it in the another gym too.
On the video i show the Pokémon on the new gym and then on the old gym at the same time and open my storage and show that i indeed only have that one blissey with the "Blissey96%' nickname.
So was it because of the frame perfect golden berry from either from me or my other friend, or was it because of the raid hour started here at the same time too?
Too bad that I don't have a car, i would honestly be interested to see if I could place 21 Pokémon in the gym at the same time because of this bug. Even though normal top limit is 20 Pokémon.
I mean I'm not interested in cheating the system or something, just here to report that Pokémon go indeed is very very BÖRKEN game. 🤣
