a weird one. after the most recent change with the gadget, mine has almost entirely stopped working, while my moms gadget is working like an absolute beast.

i thought this was phone specific, but after having her log in on my phone, i saw the gadget function exactly like it did on her phone.

has anyone else been able to test this? im so confused how this damn thing functions. the minimize tactic barely works for me now, yet somehow it doesn't even seem to be based on your phone

hello, would the recommended temperature to solder a 3ds game cart be around 300 celsius? i've wanted to fix my omega ruby cart but last time we tried to solder it (some kind of super simple soldering iron that very unlikely hit those temps) but it did not work, so im thinking of looking for another one that could reach high temps and see if it would work. i just want to go for the exact one that could do the job since i likely need to either buy or borrow one

not me but my sister, so i unfortunately cannot offer the most detailed description, but i am curious of the issues nature and cannot seem to be able to google the answers.

she has an external drive she plugged in and unplugged without removing safely many a time, and it couple months ago stopped functioning. windows still recognizes the drive but cannot access the files and asks for a reformat.

she cannot reformat because said drive has 300k photos (yes, 300k important photos she has never backed up anywhere).

so my questions are;

is it likely all files are now corrupt?

can the photos be saved by us, or would it require a shop with specialized hardware?

i do not know the brand of the hdd, but i think it was seagate.

i love party power, and the idea of seeing your group on the map, an idea i had balled in my head months before parties.

however, as are many things in this game, there are multiple stupid and clunky decisions that should be ironed out.

1. the party ui should be smaller, specifically the icons for the members. they block so much space. clicking on the icon should also allow you to prompt a trade, something they removed for some reason. just to make the icons more useless i guess.

personally though, i think they could just be straight up removed. i only need to know how the challenge is doing. unless they add the trade function back.

2. the challenge choice screen has no reason to pop up for any other member than the leader. players who are not the leader have no function clicking on the options, as there is no vote system or anything. only the leader of the party can choose the next challenge, so why on earth does it pop up and block the whole party?

3. upon re/starting the game, it asks "do you want to rejoin the party?" even if the party had timed out or disbanded. this is just a stupid question that not only lags my game, adds a few annoying seconds before i can start playing. i've missed a bunch of lobbies thanks to that stupid message. just start the game as normal and autojoin me to the ongoing party, i am perfectly capable of leaving said party if i want to, without the start up prompt.

4. the "afterparty stats" is also something that does not need to pop in your face, or even really exist. if it has to exist, put it in the action log where you can go check the stats. similar to what you can do with the daily incense.

if these could be changed/removed i'd be forming parties more often.

right now i only form a party if im either expecting party-related research tasks (cd) or if im going to be shortmanning a raid and need pp. and even then the whole thing is annoying to deal with, and i pick up challenges im unlikely to complete just to make my gameplay smoother with less grinding halts to it.

after the wheel started jumping and scrolling became essentially impossible, i blasted my whole mouse with a lubricant. this fixed the scroll issue, but now my wheel is almost entirely unresponsive to clicking. it does not click like a button, but at random register the scroll wheel being pressed (whether or not it actually is). i opened the mouse, cleaned it around, smacked it, turned it upside down and rolled against the table. nothing.

i've found other people with similar issues but their fixes don't work.

i've reset to factory settings in synapse too, nothing.

i also feel like the mouse is now causing my windows to glitch, as now at random moments it no longer register left click anywhere. i can see my cursor going around but nothing reacts.

wtf is happening and how do i fix this?

so i just learned apparently, you cannot remove p3's from a petpet. i think it should not be this way. i feel like it is just to create artificial scarcity, and i don't like that. one of my pets p2 that i want to change has a p3 i like and that thing is now apparently worth 9mil. changing the p2 to be something more fitting would then mean i need to buy it again if i want it to "keep" the p3.

so i know that much that souvenirs spawn about every 2 to 3 days, but im wondering how does that time frame get triggered.

for example, would it be possible some of my ultra/best buddies are just a few hours away from giving me a souvenir if their last souvenir was opened 2 days or so before i switched buddies? so in that way it would be better i cycle all of my bb's since there's a chance most of them could drop a souvenir just a day or so after i've had them as buddies again, rather than running just one bb?
